Personal I prefer Versace Dylan blue, because I like the versatility. Four seasons fragrance, daily use, even at night. You can wear it in the office, you can wear it in the gym. Perfect in any occasion
I personally love both and have given both as gifts , but have had better feedback from Versace Dylan Blue due to its versatility… Dylan Blue is a perfect gift and safe blind buy…everyone I have given it to loves it and wears it!!
Dylan Blue will forever be my favorite scent and I've tried over 200 varieties of fragrances. The Versace Blue DNA just cannot be matched when smelled in the air. Eros is another must buy.
i agree lol every time i got compliment people are trying to find what is that smell? its soo goodddd... the way you smell VDB in yourself is not same when it lingers in the air....
Yeah dylan blue is in my top 3 for sure. But personally I don't like eros. I don't like the edt or edp. I traded my 200ml bottle of eros edp for eros flame. Even though I already had a 50ml bottle of eros flame. I just like it that much more. The eros parfum I thunk is pretty good. But the edp and edt are way too much for me
Steven, I find it pretty interesting that many people find these two fragrances similar. Yes, there are some similarities but I think Alberto Morillas had set out to combine the best aspects of Bleu de Chanel and Sauvage with Dylan Blue and he seems to have succeeded. To me, Dylan Blue is different enough from the other two to not be redundant to own all three. They're all ultra mass appealing and super pleasant that I can wear on so many days and occasions.
I love them both but Versace Dylan Blue just has that incensy, blue, soapy vibe that smells amazing when it dries down, especially on the clothing, and to me is just as a huge projector as Sauvage. Dior Sauvage gets boring and generic when it dries down, but the opening is awesome.
I'm more of a longevity over projection wearer, and a smooth, sophisticated, mature office scent over youthful sport scent. So it sounds like the Versace for me.
Well, “less metalic thing” is definitely advantage, because fragrances of the caliber of Versace and Dior must be distinguished from 7 dollar deodorants, which are loaded with metallic elements
Versace Dylan Blue is about half the price of Dior Sauvage these days, so it sounds like a no brainer to go with the VDB for an everyday signature or office scent. I don't own it yet but after watching all of the good reviews, I've made my mind up to buy it! It's only $80 Australian dollars here, so about $54 USD for 100ml.
People hate on Sauvage but there’s a reason it’s been a best seller, if not the best selling men’s fragrance since it came out. It smells great!! Like it or not Dior Sauvage is this generations Acqua Di Gio. But I also love Dylan Blue, the dry down is great.
Great review! Here’s my take after owning both of them for the summer. Sauvage is idea for date, dinner, socializing. Dylan Blue is great for everything including office where I would never wear Sauvage to the office. Im not meaning to sound pretentious but when I go out for dinner or drinks I get hit on by woman often and while wearing Sauvage I get compliments. While wearing Dylan Blue i don’t get compliments but Versace pour homme.has been a second place compliment getter for the summer. Even though Dylan Blue doesn’t get me compliments it’s become my favorite all-around fragrance.
@@stanislavmikhailiukov1005 Yeah agree that they are not similar. I do like both, but Sauvage is very sharp, where Dylan Blue is more well rounded and frankly better smelling to me at least.
i get anosmic to Dior Suavage (EDT and EDP) 30 minutes after i spray it. But Dylan Blue on the other hand wraps me in a magnificient scent bubble all day!
So, really surprised you dropped the ball so badly with the pricing. Sauvage is not a fragrance one will find on any significant discount, some grey market sites even charge more than retail. However, 3.4oz Dylan blue can be had for about half the price of a 2oz sauvage.
Thanks for the vid. I love Dylan Blue. It performs really well on me and smells amazing, currently it is my signature scent, but I though it would be too loud and youthful for an office environment, but if there are ppl rocking Sauvage in the office, i should wear Dylan Blue confidently too.
Love this comparison. I sampled Sauvage EDP and while I enjoyed it my wife actually HATED it so Dylan Blue is something that I’m interested to try to see if she would like. I’ve heard Ambroxan can be a love or a hate and for her it must be a hate 😂
In this matchup, I will say Dior Sauvage wins big time not only because of its popularity but the projection is monstrous. I had a colleague who wore this and I wasn't familiar with the brand yet. We knew that he would come because approximately at least 6ft we could smell him, lol. We felt like we needed to take a bath because he smelled so fresh 😂. Dylan blue, on the other hand, when i tried it out on my skin, it isn't loud and it's ok.
@@MikfinityPog woah, that's a shame. Here in the office, every one uses it and the projection is still loud. I don't know the batch codes they have but sauvage is doing its thing, though.

I wouldnt say its versaces take on dior sauvage. I would say its there version of a blue fragrance. It mixes together the best parts of all the other big blue fragrances. Witch creates a bomb shell of an unbelievably amazing scent that grows more complex the longer you where it.

I must say the Versace pour homme EDT is smells way better than other 2 flankers. Fresh, warm and lighter aquatic and easy to wear. I have smells the Dylan blue but it's just doesn't reach my expectations. Good but not as good than Versace pour homme...
I own Dylan Blue and I have smelled Sauvage many times but honestly I would choose none of them! To me, Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is the best ambroxan-based fragrance.
Hi Steven, I sold my Sauvage but kept DB, the reason : Sauvage is victim of his success, can't go anywhere without smelling it on someone! The scent is good indeed but it's too popular, anyway i kept a sample before sell it in case of i miss it sometimes! I easily prefer Luna Rossa Carbon, nice video as always buddy...
Tried a sample of Dylan blue and to me there is a musk in this fragrance that I don’t like me because it was a sample I have all the sauvage and I leave them for different occasions. I’m going to get Versace Dylan blue just to add to collections maybe it will grow on me with after I do a full test

I’ve only smelled them on blotters, but to my nose they weren’t even remotely alike (don’t know what concentration they were though).. Dylan blue smelled fresh and masculine, like the typical shower gel for men, whereas Sauvage smelled like burnt rubber and made me almost nauseous. Am I alone in thinking they smell totally different? Could it be a paper vs skin issue? Really curious.
I've got dyan blue, I like it. But I seem to be reaching for explorer instead now. Sauvage parfum is nice but I don't like it enough to buy it. Call me an old fart, but the old school eau sauvage edp gives me way more enjoyment.
The edt smells the best of all blue fragrances out there to me parfum just smells like a failed attempt at making the dna smell more expensive. Im 17 tho so my opinions could be related to that😂
Versace Dylan Blue of course. LIght but masculine always a compliment getter. Sauvage is just too Gin and peppery for me. I know a lot of people love it but I have tried it and I feel Like I spilled some Gin based booze on myself.
I tested Dior Sauvage in a perfume store. To my surprise the opening had the alcohol smell for quiet some time whereas its clone Ajmal Kuro has a pleasant opening right from the get go. Plus Ajmal Kuro has amberglis instead of ambroxin used in Sauvage. I’d suggest buy Kuro instead. Smells exactly the same. I bought Dylan blue for my brother as Christmas gift. I could smell the perfume right when he unpacked it. And it hit different. I will buy one for myself as well. I wanted to smell like that.
I prefer Dior Sauvage. Its much more fresh and pleasing compared to Dylan blue. I do wear Dylan blue frequently and I like that scent too. The major issue I personally have with Dylan blue is that if i put on more than 3 to 4 sprays, it starts giving a bit of headache.
Very detailed comparison base on the real time experience. Just the dior sauvage for more compliment getter base on his experience it is bcoz dior is louder a little bit.
My summer scent is dylan blue its a head turner imo and its cheap 48.50€ 200ml..bought the sauvage 78€ for 100ml and its raining sauvage here in europe when summer tourists and locals i can't wear it😅
Sauvage is a year round scent, whereas Dylan Blue is more a cool weather scent. You’ll choke somebody out of you wear Versace and it’s hot out. I get more compliments wearing savuage EDP than Dylan Blue.
You're not going to choke Any one out wearing Dylan blue in the summer 🤣 people wear oud in the summer man. Dylan blue?? Lol you'll be fine man. I wear 15 sprays of Dylan blue in the summer, completely fine

I just hate how screechy Sauvage is in the opening, it actually assaults my nose and gives me a bit of a headache with the strong peppery chemical blast. I really enjoy the drydown though, the warm slightly sweet and fresh ambroxan with woody touches. I have both. I like Dylan blue more than Sauvage. I like Sauvage EDP opening but hate the EDT opening. I love the EDT dry down but hate the EDP dry down which smells like I don't know Ambroxan? I wish the EDP smells like the EDT version when it dries down.
before I made this comment I checked to see how all this video was and maybe prices were different a year ago but Dior sauvage for 3.4 oz bottle is $120. Dylan blue for the same size bottle you can find for 40 or 50 bucks. that's a huge difference so I'm curious what price is different a year ago
I have a decant of Sauvage but I feel it isn't for me. The projection is good, but then it seems to fall flat on its face after that for me. Luna Rossa Carbon I pick up the notes later than Sauvage and prefer the tamer smell.
Love your vids Steven! I just got an Oct 2020 bottle of Dylan Blue and I’ve been unbelievably anosmic to it from the first spray (or it’s a bad batch?). It’s like getting a refill on my Coke with club soda, the intense fizzy blast is there and I can “feel” it in my nose, but I only get faint hints of actual “flavor” from the time I spray it until the next day. With other scents I go anosmic to (i.e. Explorer) I can fully smell everything in great depth for the first hour or two, before I can no longer detect it. I sampled DB two years ago and I could totally smell it (I did have a mild case of COVID and have been wearing many more Ambrox heavy scents since then). Anyone else have a similar problem?
Dylan blue is by far the best. It beat Dior, BDC, Ysl, Profumo in street comparisons. It’s fresh, woody, musky, aquatic, aromatic, spicy, sweet, smoky. And they placed the ambroxan in the middle where it should be placed in any fragrance that is created. When it’s put in the base all you smell in the dry down is synthetic ambroxan.
Dylan Blue only lasted about 3 to 4 hours on my skin. I bought it when it first came out, I just didn’t like it. Sauvage I like and I get about 10 solid hours.
i just got new v dylan blue but why it doesn't last more than 3 hours ? is it normal the smell its the same everything the opening but it doesn't last at all
Versace Dylan blue and Chanel eau extreme are better options in terms of smell and versatility in my opinion. Dior Sauvage edt is my girlfriends least favorite and I also find it to be very metallic and off-putting. I feel that Chanel allure homme sport and Versace pour homme are better options for the summer... Prada carbon is better than Sauvage to my nose as well. I don't think Sauvage edt is not worth the price, but the edp and Parfum are better. Would still stick with Prada carbon over Sauvage.
as i am a perfume collector and own quite a few collections including niche perfumes but unfortunately dont have dylan blue in my collection i considered buying it for days and time and time again it turned out to be a different purchase but after seeing this video i I order it. Thanks Steven and keep it up💪🏽
Enjoyed the video my personal preference is Sauvage but if luna rossa carbon and y edp were in the mix then i would have a tie with the later two over dylan blue and sauvage
Dylan Blue is the better one. It has that dark mysterious aura to it and is slightly more mature and … for a lack of a better word: „alpha“. Sauvage I love also but it is more straight forward and more crowd pleasing but very forgettable as well.
Personal I prefer Versace Dylan blue, because I like the versatility. Four seasons fragrance, daily use, even at night. You can wear it in the office, you can wear it in the gym. Perfect in any occasion

I have a decant of Sauvage but I feel it isn't for me. The projection is good, but then it seems to fall flat on its face after that for me. Luna Rossa Carbon I pick up the notes later than Sauvage and prefer the tamer smell.
I completely respect that
hi there thanks for the video . i havnt tested db but i have ds edt and i guess you havent tested new batch because its so faint that nobody notice it
Thanks for the info!
My boyfriend doesn’t like either of these scents but I like them
Thanks for sharing!
I love ❤️ DYLAN BLUE😍💙 and go for Prada Luna Rosa carbon instead sauvage 😊
It's easy to become anosmic with dylan blue, but trust me the fragrance is still there
I’m a high school student so which one is better for me?
Dylan blue is by far the best. It beat Dior, BDC, Ysl, Profumo in street comparisons. It’s fresh, woody, musky, aquatic, aromatic, spicy, sweet, smoky. And they placed the ambroxan in the middle where it should be placed in any fragrance that is created. When it’s put in the base all you smell in the dry down is synthetic ambroxan.
Dylan Blue only lasted about 3 to 4 hours on my skin. I bought it when it first came out, I just didn’t like it. Sauvage I like and I get about 10 solid hours.
what batch year is ur sauvage
Love them both
Savage for date night
Versace for my “go to” including the office
I find sauvage very scratchy and brash. I like the nice smooth undertones of Versace Dylan blue.
Dylan blue reminds me of sauvage elixer but just a lighter version
Nice comparison
i just got new v dylan blue but why it doesn't last more than 3 hours ? is it normal the smell its the same everything the opening but it doesn't last at all
How many sprays do you do?
Versace Dylan blue and Chanel eau extreme are better options in terms of smell and versatility in my opinion. Dior Sauvage edt is my girlfriends least favorite and I also find it to be very metallic and off-putting. I feel that Chanel allure homme sport and Versace pour homme are better options for the summer... Prada carbon is better than Sauvage to my nose as well. I don't think Sauvage edt is not worth the price, but the edp and Parfum are better. Would still stick with Prada carbon over Sauvage.
Versace dylan blue is immense
Can't be objective, since Sauvage reminds me of an amazing time I had on a trip, so... Sauvage all the way!!
I know the feeling!
as i am a perfume collector and own quite a few collections including niche perfumes but unfortunately dont have dylan blue in my collection i considered buying it for days and time and time again it turned out to be a different purchase but after seeing this video i I order it.
Thanks Steven and keep it up💪🏽
How do you like it ?
@@coldfever94
It’s ok very versatile and good for every occasion but instead of Dylan Blue better Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale
I have Dior savage and it’s just not for me, it smells too peppery. I don’t even use it, I prefer ysl EDP anytime any day
I respect that!
Anyone have Dylan Blue 2020 batch? I heard that Dylan Blue reformulated and doesn't last as it used to.
I'm getting like 6-8 hours on my 2020 batch which is good imo for a cheap edt
@@atobg_ yes it's good for an edt. Thanks!
Hey Steven can you please please do a comparison of Sauvage vs Luna Rossa Carbon?!
Sure! That sounds cool
Sad😢 i prefer sauvage over dylan blue but the price of sauvage edt here in my country is 3 times more than dylan blue 😭😭😭
ok but i can get dylan blue 200ml for 70$ while dior 100ml is hard to get for this price
Versace Versace Versace Versace like I’m illuminati
Hi Steve
I already own Dylan Blue.
Should I go for Sauvage or it would be a redundant purchase?
Please advise
I personally don't think it would be redundant, but I would diversify my collection a bit with something in a different genre.
Enjoyed the video my personal preference is Sauvage but if luna rossa carbon and y edp were in the mix then i would have a tie with the later two over dylan blue and sauvage
True.
PLRC is the best....hands down!
+1 savage edt layered with elixir, but nearly neck and neck.
Dylan Blue is a lot cheaper here in canada from discounters.
Nice!
I have both And depending on the day, mood, occasion, etc I'll choose one over the other
I totally understand!
Sauvage is too peppery for me - and I don't like it. Dylan Blue would be 'my' better option.
Try the EDP, it's a lot smoother and as heavy on the pepper
@@lockematt77 is edp more peppery then edt regardless of smoothness?
Thank you for sharing your experience, Andy!
@@lukelogan9938 Less peppery, it's smoother and office wear appoved
@@lockematt77 Thanks Matt 😊
Dylan Blue is the better one. It has that dark mysterious aura to it and is slightly more mature and … for a lack of a better word: „alpha“. Sauvage I love also but it is more straight forward and more crowd pleasing but very forgettable as well.
