Nice review and thanks for the disassembly I purchased the Mars Valley Fat Carbon one a few weeks back. Wish I could have got the Purple Haze and the Toxic Storm(Green One).

I put those kwik studs on some of my knives you can get them on Amazon.

Only little con : the steel. I would have preferred something simpler, higher in carbon and lower on stainless alloying like D2, like on the original

It would be better as a linerlock.
Maybe the framelock allows them to make it thinner. Otherwise I tend to agree, you probably don't need the extra strength on something like this
