    Oh I had one of these in the early eighties, but with a 12" speaker. Played loud and this amp had an awesome crunch, for sure.

    Been awhile since I commented but you're still doing the thing Johan. It's all fingers as they say.

      +Comic Lover Thanks my friend! :-)

    • @erenbecomesdovecrying6016

      Comic Lover I had no idea his fingers were wound with copper around a magnet to turn the vibration of the string in to a signal. That his fingers were made from 10 feet of insulated copper wire that carried that signal and depending on the purity of the copper changed the properties of the original signal picked up by his magnetic copper wound fingers. Or that his hands had vacuum tubes in them. The real question is where does he hide the speakers? What amount of wood is he made of? What species is the wood?

    • @lild4131998
      @lild4131998 7 років тому +1

      Art and I meant tone is in the fingers. It's something people say 😂 I'm glad you understand the science though.

    and wud be so cool to see the back of a marshall cabinet with swiss cheese holes all in it with little covers that slide on each individual hole so u can port the cabinet to taste depending on the place that your playing. this has to be a good idea.

    What a sexy little amp, looks unique,sounds great...correction,you sound great. Next we will put a pickup and some strings on a toilet bowl, it sounds like a cranked Plexi. Let’s face it , you have the magic touch Johan. Cheers. 🍻

    Sounds really good! Warmer & fuller than I'd expect from 8" speakers. But by 2moro they won't be $elling for reasonable prices anymore, because of U Johan. ;)

    Hi Johan, if you like the Dynacord Amigo you should try the Dynacord DA16N or DA16V. These amps are older but have more gain and they look like a sewing machine. Realy nice.

    I have a Dynacord Twen 100% original and it still sounds amazing. I think about 15watts. Nothing but butter tones. Its darker sound than a fender but still clear and airy and past 4 you're getting some nice overdrive.

    • @BIGUBAN
      @BIGUBAN 9 місяців тому

      i got 2 of each, twen and amigo sound different, id say 2x8 amigos speakers are together maby 12w, its getting crunch very easy, twen speaker is more like 20-25w, it handles power of the amp better, but need more gain. cheers

  • @TUBEMAN192

    Wicked sound! I've seen a couple very similar Dynacord "Jazz" amps for sale recently. "Jazz" is a 1x10 combo (I think) but otherwise they look nearly identical compared to the "Amigo" here. And best of all at 400 euros they are quite cheap when it comes to amps of this vintage.

    Hi Johan! Another great test, congrats! Behind the "Iron curtain" there were some great amps, if you have a chance, try an MV3 (Musikelektrik Klingenthal made in the late '60's); connect some boost in front, hook it to a 412 cab, crank the volume full and controll your sonud with the same ol' way, MV3 amp sound huge!

    Sir, I have an old Marshall MG15. Most reviews in UA-cam about the MG15 are bad. Well yes it is a cheap little solid state amp but after hearing your tone and your playing, might as well request for a review of the MG15. I will be amazed if you can find a good way to make it sound good the same way you can make just about anything sound good really. More power sir. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Johan!
    Another great video, keep them coming :)
    Dynacord made many great amps, the Amigo is the "little brother" of the Twen (1x12").
    I would love to hear/see you test the pinnacle of german guitar amp engineering, The Dynacord Reference 500 series from the mid 80s. Your friend Racing/Gain Forlife has one. Possible the very best built marshall-esque amp in the world.
    Lets go? (pretty please)

    Never seen or even heard of that amp before today. Great playing/tone/demo as usual. Is that a "real deal" 1955 LP Spcl? I've got a real deal '55 LP Special in TV-Yellow my Dad got when he was 14. P90's in ours. Both yours and ours sound amazing. I'll have to keep my eye out for a Dynacord. Not sure if they were sold in the States? By the way, I like your hat too :-)

    Hey Johan, have you ever tried the Electro-Harmonix English Muffin pedal? I read that it's supposed to be a copy of a JTM45. which most transparent pedal to use on a clean marshall to make it sound cranked on a low volume without really cranking the amp?

    • @JohanSegeborn
      @JohanSegeborn  7 років тому

      +silver Hi, I think a Master Volume or Post Phase inverter master volume and an attenuator does a better job than any pedal. Every pedal I have tried have required a good amount of volume. I use a 1977 Marshall 2204 and it's master volume and some very slight attenuation to get Marshall tones at low volumes. Cheers Johan

      I think so, but with a lot of money for labour and new parts. All pots were damaged and badly corroded, I couldn't move any of its pots. The tubes were origin as far as I could see, if the speaker works, I couldn't proof. If there were other damages (circuit) I don't know. As I mentioned, if it's were in better condition I probably had buy it, because of its so solid crunch tone. ;-)

    Can you please measure frequency response of this speaker by Hi Fi amplifier and one of your ribbon/capacitive microphones? That is too important for cloning this amp.
