Me and my friend recently checked out that jet facility you guys were at in the last video. It was even better in person. Also, in the generator room, that floor was way sketchier than in the video, lol
You guys are the best of all of the abandoned personalities currently circulating on UA-cam. Your obvious study of the subjects you encounter and articulate use of language and observation make for compelling videos.
@Justin Haffner That is so true. Josh will narrate by saying "pretty much this place is an old school." And then not bother to research when it was built, what it was for, when it became abandoned...... nothing. PP is so great at describing details of where they are and the back story.
The Proper People: You both deserve a million subscribers because you did all the hard work finding the place, telling the history of the place, by taking pictures and videos, and editing the video to put on UA-cam. Stay safe during the Corona 19 and keep on doing your video. P.S: You’re are one of my favorite UA-camrs.
Did anyone else get kinda sad when they said their families/girlfriends don’t care about what they do? :/ they’re so successful and it’s sad they don’t give them the recognition.
I think that's pretty common. It doesn't mean their family/girlfriends don't love them. They just have no interest in the job these guys do beyond (1) "are you getting paid for what you do?" and (2) "do you like what you do?" Also, in terms of success, these two guys are living the dream in that they are able to make a living doing UA-cam videos (but they do a lot of hard work producing their videos). However, that's pretty niche in terms of fame.
I love your style of filming. You capture things just the way they are and don't add nonsense. You both put out so much effort that I think you deserve so much more credit. Your latest video of abandoned waterpark was a thrill to watch..I know you guys went the extra mile when it came to it! Thank you for peaking my interest in urban exploration and also teaching me a lot about history in the locations you visit!! Much love and a big congratulations!!!!!
A while ago my wife and I watched a video from another channel where they explored an abandoned school. It was a smaller school, probably 100 students, but the guy filming was overreacting to everything. A car would go by and he'd freak out, or he'd hear a creak and he'd freak out. It was rather off-putting because you knew he was just putting it on for the camera. And that's why I like The Proper People, because they've been to enough places to know that a creak is probably the wind or that a car driving past isn't a cause for concern as long as you're careful. The "action" scenes are great (e.g. running from security at the power plant), but they're just part of the video, and not "OMG CAUGHT BY SECURITY?!?!?!?!" clickbait titles.
You took the name "The Proper People" because you do it right! You insert the history of your explores, respect other people's property, create a professional quality product... and don't give me motion sickness while I watch your videos. Keep up the great work!
I LOVE the "Chillin' " Chairs. They have a personality all their own. Also the history. The "bottoms" that chair experienced. We will never know. So complex.
Congrats guys! My daughter and I started watching back when Bryan barely talked and mostly communicated by nodding or shaking his head when Michael asked him a question. :)
Wow,I'm actually about to cry because of this,I started watching you guys when you were a very young UA-cam channel, for such a long time, since about when you started, and I've watched you guys throughout the years,at first you were youtubers I just watched cause I really enjoyed watching abandoned places getting explored and I've been watching you guys ever since and I know you have not only inspired, but given many smiles throughout the years,as always keep up the amazing work to both of you,and the proper people community will always love watching your videos, keep up the amazing work always❤💯
Same, it's really inspiring to see them grow their UA-cam channel like that. The quality has definitely gone up and they deserve everything they've got
Couldn't have said it better! I too have been following since the start and it's been a great time following your adventures and watching your skills refine! Keep up the great work guys!
I’ve mentioned this before, but after watching some of your earliest videos and then your videos from the last couple of years, I’m impressed by how much more professional and high quality your videos have become. And I really like the educational aspect of the videos. The history really comes through on many of your explorations. One of my favorites is your exploration of Cooley High in Detroit.
Finaly 1 million. You guys deserve this more than anyone. I've been with you guys since 2016, and I've always found your videos to be super professional, informative and increasingly cinematic. Congratulations, well earned
The lock down turned me onto your channel and I have been totally enthralled by your videos. Ironically I just today watched your first Q&A from yesteryear and was blown up when I found that you had posted this today. Keep on exploring guys. The force is strong in you and zeitgeist is with you. Cheers mates!
You guys have such a great attitude, and deserve everything you have achieved. If you like art deco, check out the RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA ... not abandoned, but an interesting and historic place.
Congratulations guys! I appreciate that you always include the history of a place. It's also nice that you dont stage stuff for the likes and dont make clickbait videos. You guys are the real deal.
Congrats, guys. You really deserve it for all the effort you go through to make these awesome videos! You've been the source for all the exploration videos I watch for the past few years, and I hope to see more after this quarantine is over!
Love you guys. I remember when I found your channel years ago and I have been hooked ever since. Glad you guys are doing great and congrats on 1 million subs!

Congrats guys! I was wondering how you work together so well? Do you have different roles you play? For example, one is responsible for getting coordinates, and the other books your travel? How do you agree on a place to visit, or content you want to include? Do you guys argue much? Also, are you ever saddened by the way a place looks after being abandoned or vandalized? Do you think what a tragedy it is that the architectual beauty of a place is deteriorating instead of being enjoyed? Do you actually think it's cool the way decay has changed a building - for example paint peeling off walls, vines taking over spaces, etc? Thank you very much for your hard work and professional product!
We split stuff pretty evenly. If I had to say there was a particular thing each of us specialize in, Bryan handles most of the brand deals and I tend to be more of the location scout. As far as decay, I always enjoy it and is a big part of what makes a place feel unique, but I hate any kind of man-made decay like graffiti or vandalism. It really takes me out of the atmosphere of a place.
I'm a female and 15 years ago i used to do this by myself!! No one was interested. I'm so happy i did because most places are torn down now and others completely destroyed. I wish i had the guts to do it today but now i have too much to lose. I throughly enjoy your videos and it's refreshing to see that you enjoy making them. It really is fantastic, I’ve watched every video, I’ve never been so entertained, sometimes I flick back and watch certain videos again, brilliant, well done chaps.
i am mesmerized by what you guys do. You guys have been lucky both with not getting in trouble but also i get ANXIETY when i think a building is going to collapse.
At work, we're temporarily shutdown... and as an engineer, I periodically have to go in to check on the plant to make sure all is well (no major roof leaks, etc.). Seems just like one of your videos, only the power is on and some equipment is partially powered up.
Bryan, you are totally adorable! Full of happiness and off the cuff comments, and that smile.... I would be too freaked out to explore some of those places... I'd be worried that some wild animal would chase after me like a possum or a rat or God knows what! You guys do a fantastic job of capturing the moment and translating the energy to us. I can feel the energy leap off the screen. Your respect to preserving the scene is appreciated. Keep on doing a kick ass job!
Right Made Me Laff LoL Hahah I Been Thru Some Old Appartment Buildings, Old Hospital and A Boarding School and They all Have Had A Very Distinctive Smell LoL

I love power plants! More power plants! Ford Twin cites assembly plant(now demolished) is one place I'd love to see....especially the underground railways. Sad it's gone. You're doing alright. I've enjoyed your stuff.
You guys are an absolute best at exploring, explanation easy to understand, filming from resolution to angels are on spot, personalities are sweet, AND ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!!
Loved this video and I loved that you sprinkled it with clips like falling through stairs and running from security. Would you ever consider make a compilation video with funny, scary, crazy clips from different explorations? Especially if there are some episode you’ll most likely never release. Would be a good and fun way to get more followers
You two give me courage in a very difficult time of my life. Your videos are a time out for me. It's a lifeline. Thank you very much for your work, greetings from Germany
YAYYY You guys answered my question I AM FREAKING OUT - Thank you haha. 40 hours? OMG. Well kudos to you guys, thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into making these amazing beautiful films. Fixing up the audio like that sounds intense but it really shows how much you care about what you're creating. That's rough with syncing, because I know with short films you can do a slate or a clap to help sync but I know with urban exploring that's not the easiest thing to do or do every time you start filming again... Damn. Thanks for answering my question! The editing nerd in me is fascinated haha. Also, I am going to become a patron. You guys work so darn hard and I've been wanting to support for awhile!
Congratulations! You guys deserve it - The quality of your content is unmatched. I was so sad that I missed you at the Hachijo Royal Resort by just a few days.. Oh well, hope to run into you both somewhere in the world, in better times. 🖤 Sending love from Japan!
One of my favorite channels on UA-cam your videos have helped me through some tough times as I find them extremely calming, interesting and after all these years I even find them medicinal. You deserve millions of subscribers! Congrats!
You guys are the best at abandoned I've been watching abandoned for years now and you are the best quality I've seen and I've seen people with 500 videos and you guys are the best
You guys deserve it !!!! Thanks so much for always uploading entertaining videos you got me through some of my hardest times in the way that you guys explore and talk to us it makes us feel like were there when we’re watching it you guys worked so hard and please continue to upload videos❤️‼️‼️‼️. You have our support congrats on 1 MILLION
Love your vids guys :) You are so professional as to videoediting, music , narration and background info. Keep up the good work! Huggz from me in Sweden.
I have been binging on your videos recently and enjoying them. Good work guys. I am a retired Sr. Mech. design eng. and I really like the old power plants.
One thing I'd like to know, and maybe you can implement it into your next Q&A is what type of accessory gear are you using to do the video (tripods/gimbals, etc, not so much cameras and lenses, but the accessories you use to get various shots)? Are you just using standard tripods for support and the hold the camera or did you buy specific videography grips for your cameras? I've been looking into doing some videos of my urbexing myself and have considered using a smaller camera like a GoPro but also considered using my mirrorless cameras too for better picture quality and was wondering what gear you guys use in terms of lighting, support (handles/stands), etc.
Hey guys. Andres here from Puerto Rico. I found you guys a couple of months after I got laid off my job and your videos helped me get my mind off the situation. Stay safe. Thank you for your videos.
Yeah, non clickbait videos are great :D. I think except for a minor exception, non of my videos are clickbait. The one exception is that one of my video titles is not completely accurate to the video, that video is bringing IN wood video, it's really bringing OVER wood instead.
Super massive congrats on the 1M. Been watching your channel since about 2 years ago and it's been the benchmark for my standard of Urbex videos. Went on my first adventure to an abandoned ghost town in Texas earlier last month and was thinking about you guys the entire time. Thank you for going into the great forgotten of our society and bringing us to places of question and wonder!
Congratulations! As an architecture student I must say that you have a great way of capturing the beauty of abandoned buildings and industrial heritage, and that is pretty unique. Do you intend to explore some castles in the future (like you did once in Italy) ? Plenty of those here in Europe, you won't be disappointed!
03:30 Seems like entrapment. Probably why the ticket was dismissed. The fence was clearly NOT a barrier, and they looked like any other group of people going for a walk. Wow.
Congratulations on your Million! It's well deserved. I just discovered your channel about 3 weeks ago and binged. Your content and professionalism is what got you here. Keep up the great work. I look forward to more.
Congratulations on hitting the 1 million+ subscribers mark; well deserved! I’m surprised you didn’t hit that mark sooner. I’ve been subbed since your Miracle City Mall video and it’s amazing how much your production quality has improved since then (not that it was all that bad to begin with). Proud to support you guys on Patreon. Looking forward to all your upcoming videos and hitting the next million subscribers.
Greetings from Columbus, Ohio. So wish u could get into several places here, would be so cool to see the insides of these places. I love watching all your episodes as much as poss, my favs are prob the big place u went to in China - that was just amazing & I really hope (as posted b4) that u get to go back sometime. I enjoy the soundtracks as well compared to others who just cut in and out and/or have really shaky cams :P no names. You guys make a great team, look forward to many more once all this virus is done. Keep up the great work!!
You guys do a great job. Congratulations on the 1 million subscribers. I haven't been following you for the whole six years, mostly because I wasn't very active on UA-cam, and wasn't aware of your Channel. I think it has been 3 or 4 years at least now, and I subscribed almost right away. Keep up the great videos and take care.
At this point I think the buildings we build today crumble before they're even abandoned. The high school where I work has what can only be described as a Swiss cheese roof. There was a day when the snow melted and it leaked in three different places at the time. There will be more abandoned buildings in the future.
@The Proper People I think you guys are the best urban explorers on UA-cam. You take shooting & editing your videos seriously. Your production values are very high to the point that most of your videos are like mini documentaries. I look forward to seeing new videos. Keep up the great work!
I love to see you both The Proper people on this video, and congrats on the 1000000 subscribers, thats a mile stone in the work you are doing both together. Nice to hear replying to all the questions people asked. One of the scary movies I found that visit to that Abandoned Baker hotel in Mineral springs in the Texas state, hear that the hotel is getting renovated now and that movie of the Nuculear power plant abonadened . Also the vistit to the amusement park in China was interested to watch ...

That's because of the delay in the connection. We have meetings in Teams right now, which are in person normally and we talk over each other constantly.
When doing "calls" and "meetings" at home, this keep happening constantly with my boss, we keep speaking over the other .... Well, we dont comunicate better when in person LOL. The Proper People: Will the both of you ever do a video with Exploring With Josh?
You guys are the best of all of the abandoned personalities currently circulating on UA-cam. Your obvious study of the subjects you encounter and articulate use of language and observation make for compelling videos.
Agree, but there's one exception: Sal's dead mall videos. But on any other abandoned subjects, PP are the best.

Congrats! I'd really like to see you guys explore the catacombs of Paris
Great video! Can't remeber how I stumbled on to this channel but i'm glad I did! Keep up the great content! Cheers
Thank you guys so much! My wife and I watch your videos almost everyday. Hope we see more videos in the future! Take care!
Love your vids guys :) You are so professional as to videoediting, music , narration and background info. Keep up the good work! Huggz from me in Sweden.
Love you guys....watching from Canada. Bravo!!!!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦😃👍
"You have to go to court for breaching the fence!"
*Looks at fence...*
There is no fence.
I have been binging on your videos recently and enjoying them. Good work guys. I am a retired Sr. Mech. design eng. and I really like the old power plants.
You guys are the best urban explorer all time! Greetings from Germany
You guys are the best especially now with everything going on. Be safe guys and Happy Easter
You guys should explore the first building you explored on your channel (if it’s still standing). I think that would be awesome if you did!
I love y’alls videos, I’ve been watching since the beginning and plan to continue
Hey guys. Andres here from Puerto Rico. I found you guys a couple of months after I got laid off my job and your videos helped me get my mind off the situation. Stay safe. Thank you for your videos.
Why did y’all decide to not use clickbate like what nearly every other abandoned channel does (thank y’all for not doing clickbait btw!!!)
I'd say it's in their name "Proper" people.
:)
Man you guys inspired me to start my Urban Exploration channel. Congrats on your 1 million!!
Thank you guys for answering my question that was awesome and congrats a million you guys deserve it
Congratulations on the 1 million subscribers! Y’all work so hard! Cheers to the next million! ❤️Jenn
Absolutely amazing been with you guys for so long every video is as good as the other well deserved
CONGRATULATIONS I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS I LOVE THEM CONGRATES ON YOUR 1 MILLIONS SUBSCRIBERS PROPER PEOPLE :D
Haha, that Corona beer. I love you guys' sense of humor :). Congrats on a mil!
I’m Belgian and happy to listen you liked coming to Belgium. If you come back one day, I’ll be very happy to meet you
At this point I think the buildings we build today crumble before they're even abandoned.
I am 52, old school, in every form, however, you inspire me. You guys are absolutely awesome. I enjoy all your videos, keep up the great work.
You guys inspired me to start urban exploring, me and my friend just went to the dejarnet sanitarium. Creepy as hell.
Do you live in the area?
@@ageofgaslightenment I live about an hour away from washing yon dc, it's a 2 hour drive to the sanitarium. Well worth it, we parked at the lowes across the street and walked over.
@@BrianNaeem oh ok. I live about 20 minutes from Staunton and I've wanted to check it out but I've heard the property owners and Staunton pd can be uptight about people going in there so I've never bothered. I'm in my mid 30s and feel too old to be dealing with trespassing charges.
@@ageofgaslightenment I had a friend that live in the same area as staunton, and he said its public property. But dont quote ne on that
Congrats on 1M subscribers! I've been watching for a long time and I'm so happy to see all your success. You're my favorite channel on youtube and I can't wait to see what you have planned next!
Congratulations and keep up the amazing work!
You've earned every single one! Love your videos! Your camera work & overall production keeps getting better & better!
21:37 I'm sure there's some skilled ppl out there that'd be happy to edit some pictures for you, to help throw together a Photo book. I'd buy it for sure! (Btw I'm a hobby photographer, if I can help you guys out with that, I'd love to, as would many others I'm sure.)
Btw, your welcome. You deserve the subs and many more. 2 million subscribers in another year or less. I love you guys, stay safe and keep exploring.
Do y’all talk over each other this much when you’re together? 😂
We were remote and were having some connection issues.
@@TheProperPeople I swore they were sitting at a desk across from eachother lol
error ASMR 🍭 he said he lived in Florida and the other in New York
That's because of the delay in the connection. We have meetings in Teams right now, which are in person normally and we talk over each other constantly.
When doing "calls" and "meetings" at home, this keep happening constantly with my boss, we keep speaking over the other .... Well, we dont comunicate better when in person LOL. Internet connections (here) got snaily slow and with high latencies, because every one is using their connections and the ISPs have no enugh capacity, Im below 1Mb/s and watxhing this in 480p. Just imagine trying to have a video call ...
Your one of my favourite UA-camrs. I love how you just explore and take photos and you never break things or steal anything. Keep up the good work
YOU NEED TO SHARE BLOOPERS! LMAOOOOO 🤣😆
Oh hell yes!
I'd love to see more of them! Obviously I'd rather not have Michael falling through the stairs again, but if it happens.... 👀
Agreed! ))
You guys are respectful... facinating... deep and curious. I love your artful shots. I love your calm approach. I'm obsessed
I enjoyed the video! The Corona beer on your desk was hilarious!!
I love your videos. The quality and Research you put into your Videos can be Seen everytime.Keep up the great work.
