Along the lines of the baseball bats (which would be better if made of scandium aluminum), you can also use it in tennis rackets. One of the reasons Scandium is rare is because Calcium has a magic number of protons so if it absorbs a neutron, you tend to get a relatively stable calcium nucleus or something that goes on to titanium. Or else it absorbs a helium nucleus and skips by scandium. I think Theodore Grey called it 'the first element you've never heard of.'
The amount of Scandium alloyed with aluminum is very small. Had a bike frame that was marketed as Scandium but it was not that much more expensive than a high quality aluminum frame. The metal contains about .5% of Scandium. Amazing that tiny amount can make a differance.
Great video. Please check out Clean Teq and Scandium International. They are mining companies in Australia looking to develop scandium deposits for the auto and aerospace industries. The presentations on their websites are fascinating!
Puts me to sleep, get to the point of Scandium Jesus H Christ . It is about this anyways, deviating from the purpose of this video and power point bro. God sake

UPDATE: Scandium is used to make low pressure hydrogen fuel stores. This may be its future.
What a great future. Why dont you just leave it alone

Awesome thanks
Is the alum/scandium recyclable? Melt it down and reform?
Certain cat species can recycle it by digestion.
What about Smith & Wesson revolvers such as the 340PD or the 360PD?
Bonjour
