well I expect to have a sergury like that but iam a little afraid because he's doctor going to do the lower back too for put scrubs in my spinal. that sergury real work or is not necessary open the sides .thanks for your information.

My only concern is too large a fastener or screws could stress or Crack the bone at both ends. Keeping screws at minimum Dia and away from boundary will prevent cracking of the bone should there be excessive stresses.
