There have been some phenomenal singers and groups throughout southern gospel history. But for me personally, this particular lineup has got to be my favorite of all time! There are some voices, when you assemble them together, create something beyond amazing. That was this lineup. I will say I am really loving this current lineup and I’m thrilled they’re singing some of these 80’s and early 90’s Gold City hits.
This makes me emotional every time I watch it. What must have been going through the head of each individual member on that stage during that powerful song. A flurry of emotions that would need a prize-winning poet to accurately depict. That eye contact between Ivan and Tim few seconds after the song ends and you can tell there's a love and an understanding of everything they did together in that eye contact. I'm 46 next week and it hurt me so bad as a kid when Ivan and Brian left. I found out when I went to see Gold City at the cornerstone Church in Madison Tennessee in very very early 1994. It was before they built the mega church that is on that site now with Maury Davis as the pastor. I fell in love with the unit of Jay, Steve and Mark Trammell together with Tim Riley that night but this was before the instant information of the internet and I had no idea that my heroes were gone. Watching this video is both therapeutic and heartbreaking. Probably my all-time favorite UA-cam post by anybody ever. Thank you for posting Danny
I feel the same way I am told Tim is dying of cancer I hope not But this group had great songs The song windows of heaven I think that's right Still moves me and is awesome to listen to today That was nearly 30 years ago But the Gold city today is good too
Love to hear you all sing and keep on singing for the Lord Amen ❤😊

Great lineup. Beautiful song from an amazing album. Pillars of Faith is, and probably always will be, my favorite Gold City album!
I was at this show, and the night before in Charleston, West Va
One of the Best Quartets ever put together! One of the, if not the best Gold City lineup ever, however, Their latest lineup is VERY GOOD!
I'm ready and waiting for some good music and singing, Top quartet in southern gospel
What a CLASSIC song from a premiere line-up!
Love to listen to the old gold city lineups. They were powerful. Current group is killing it as well.
