- Oh no, considering you never played the modern Pokémon games... it's understandable, but... the grass leaf move by Sprigatito is called "Leafage" and not leaf edge.
- 0:38: Pokémon hasn't... quite been good at handling double protagonists equally before... and you'll see if the same also applies to Liko and Roy here.
- 2:08: Of course, with the possible UA-cam audience you have here on your hands... pretty much everyone will have watched it in Sub already - especially considering the Dub gap of - for Netflix USA - around a year which is just too much. As well as... being well informed about where the English Dub comes out first these days - currently in Australia in fact with episode 24 having debuted there for the English Dub yesterday on April 1st (that is not a joke - I mean... in Japan, the entire Pokémon anime debuted on April 1st, 1997).
- As for supporting the official release... the combination of the music replacements, the Dub gap and there not being any official sub certainly makes it easy for many to not even consider supporting the official release. (And there's also the subjective preference of whether one likes English or Japanese voices more which... for a show originally produced in Japan... tends to easily fall for the Japanese voices for many.)
- 2:22: I have heard about that... with Final Fantasy VII's airship... and in particular fanart of Tifa Lockhart kinda... keeps appearing on my Twitter timeline without me ever having played or directly seen Final Fantasy.
- 3:32: This scene... certainly does kinda sound weird - regardless of knowing the original Japanese context which... that'd be the usage of honorifics to be formal (which equals to Mr./Ms. in English).
- 8:45: It's not typical for Pokémon to eat human food and vice versa... but there have been people and Pokémon who do that in the Pokémon anime.
- 11:23: It was said before in the episode that Dot's job on the airship is based around collecting information after all.
Episode 8:
- 14:37: There are a few Pokémon who are either said to be coming from space or straight up are confirmed to be from space in fact.
- 18:17: One of the commenters in Nidothing's livestreams is called "Rhydon's Muscles" and claims to have recently learned "Rock Blast" and thinking to win battles with it, but instead he got burnt to a crisp by an "Ember" in his last battle. Does that ring a bell? That story fits with the Rhydon guy from the Explorers.
- 20:40: Around here... your camera seems to have gotten out of focus on you.
- 23:05: You know... those times between locations on the airship can easily be used to develop the cast cleverly without it feeling out of place.
- And now... until next time on Pokémon Horizons in the Paldea region - I wonder how someone like you who hasn't played Scarlet or Violet (the current games which feature the Paldea Region) will think of the game references and locations.
