Caroline is a grand slam champion never forget she can activate her powers on hard court on any given day 😅❤

Woz proves that she's one of the best pusher. Her defense is really good.
Yes these slow courts also aid her game more as she can stay there all day pushing the ball back!.. Vekic had 35 winners but still got beat in 2 straight sets!
I don't agree she's not a pusher, she doesn't hit so many winners but she strikes the ball very well and is very consistent.She is à grand slam and wta finals winner

Woz did a great job on defense in this match. Vekic didn’t play bad, just not good enough to hit through Woz. Good win for Woz! Defense won’t win everyday but it came in clutch today 👏🏾🎉

Wozniacki is a force to be reckoned with, Vekic has beaten Sabalenka this year. Glad to have my favorite player back on tour and having a result like this as well as her success at US Open last year only losing in a 3 setter to the eventual champion Coco Gauff.
Wozniacki roundly keeps inspiring with her presence on the court. She becomes a great example with her comportment and approach that she displays within this phase. Moreover, her expertise and proficiency were at the forefront in order to demonstrate a more robust and relentless performance against Croatian tennis player. It is definitely a remarkable and stunning performance from professional Danish tennis competitor.
I am a Wozniacki fan and I'm very with the win, but you gotta feel for Donna.
The courts are so slow! Pushers will always thrive as tough to hit winners.. the ball just slows down!

Vekic played very high level in set 2, like HIGH level, but Woz not only won in straights but won imo. the set 6-3 where Vekic went super mode. Woz is just. Here to do something very good in 2024! US Open top 10 favourite? Imo. Yes, maybe

Woz is better than ever post return imho. Seriously. Playing up with Gauff in US Open quarter is extremely high level. I know she won many titles in her peak including few very big ones. But who knows? Give her more than 3 tournaments since her comeback last year. Lol. I could see her winning something. Like one or two Master 1000´s, US Open? Hmm. Lets see. I know Vekic is not Iga or Coco etc. But Vekic played very high level in set 2 imo. Woz still won it 6-3

Caro is like a wall. But not just that - she’s experienced and wily on the court. Vekic may have a better arsenal of shots on paper, but the former #1 and GS winner can take those weapons away and frustrate her opponent by taking them out of their game.

Wozniacki playing much better than any of her previous matches since her return. She’s obviously been practicing her serve. Very tight match. She still has no shot against today’s top 10.

35 winners and still Vekic lost in straight sets ?? Damn can they make these courts any more slower so that pushers can just hang in there .. absolutely no returns for attacking tennis!!

Well, it is a good thing, that there are surfaces, that favours different kind of playing styles!?!! Would indeed be boring with only one playing style for all!! And there is nothing wrong in players using the style of tennis, that wins the most games for them. You are not forced to watch it, anyway!

Both lovely ladies but Woz's pushing aka defensive wall which is formidable, won't win against top 5 power hitters in the game.

Wozniacki really came back to play her exact same boring pusher game. This may get her through earlt rounds, but i dont see her winning any titles later in tournaments. The game has changed from the pusher domination.
Wozi is not the same as she used to be, definitely slower and weaker. Sorry to say, not likely to win a 1000 level event.
