Thank you for such clear and easy to understand instructions. The speed at which you instructed and how close the camera got to the yarn was very beneficial! Thank you!
Despites watching other many videos, I really learned all all the crochet basic stitches: sc, dc, hc, triple dc, etc with Naztazia when I started learning. She is very clear. And you learn very fast.
Oh my gosh, the way you make your magic loop is SO much easier than the other ways I've seen it taught, thank you SO much!!! I love your tutorials, if not for them, I never would have learned Tunisian crochet. XD
I haven't crocheted in years, and never made anything more than a blanket or scarf.. your tutorial was amazing! and I now have the most darling hat for my daughter! I was very skeptical, but first try.. we have a hat!! and also.. thanks for the comments, like..ruffles are perfectly normal.. I would have been paniking!
Shawn's hat is about 5.5 inches from the top of the crown area to the edge of the forehead area. I did Rounds 1-4, then did Round 5 as in here: 12:52 which is 1 dc around. I then repeated Round 5 three more times with the green as listed here for the baby's hat: 13:02 Then I repeated Round 5 two more times with the black shown here: 13:08 You'll always have a very slight seam (since we're not doing spirals), but the method should minimize it. Hope that helps!
As someone who is new to a majority of the basic stitches, this video is very helpful and easy to follow. Of course it's always more exciting to learn something new when you can make something cute. Thank you for this tutorial...you should really make more like this!!
Thanks for the kindness! You are correct - it seems there isn't a 100% guaranteed standard among crochet hook manufacturers regarding letter size vs. mm size. Good catch on your part!
Best tutorial I have ever seen! And, your way of doing magic circle is soooo much easier than the way I previously was doing it; no struggling to find which yarn to pull to tighten the circle. Thank you!
I have been banging my head on the wall trying to do the seamless join and it just never looked right and then (I should have known) I watch your tutorial and BAMM, it registers. Thanks Donna, you always explain things so well without extra chatter.
Hiya! I am able to fit in Sarah's hat. However in the written pattern on my website, there is info on the bottom of page 1 of the PDF file on things you can do to increase the size a bit if needed after Round 9 for an adult (e.g. do another round of round 9, switch to a larger hook for the band part, etc).
Thank you so much for this video. At the start you said to use a G hook which on my chart is a 4mm hook so I was surprised when my work didn't turn out to be the same size as yours at the 12 inch mark, then I noticed your hook is 4.25mm, now I know why none of my projects are working out like they do on these videos. I will keep watching as I am learning so much. Thank you.
You're a wonderful instructor.....I have not crocheted for many years. I am leaning al over agai & you just make it so simple. Thanks for all you do Donna. :-)
This is a great video; thank you for being so clear with the instructions. I've been crocheting since I was in 8th grade and I am now in my 50's so it's been a long time, but I wanted to tell you how much I like your vide's because they give me great tips and ideas. I'm in the process of teaching my granddaughter how to crochet and I will be having her watch your videos while I'm not around to help her. Modern technology can have problems but I sure love it for times like this! Thank you, again!
Wow I been fallowing you for a long time and this video you look so young and with your hair dark you still look beautiful with blond hair too thank you for all your beautiful work you share with us
Thank you so much!! I just started to crochet last week, until this I had only made infinity scarves. Today I made my first ever hat and it turned out perfect!! Thank you for the easy to follow instructions!!!

Naztazia you've done it again! I love your technique...now I can go back to some old projects and fix them. The other methods I tried were cool but I'd either lose some stitches or they'd be too tight to crochet through. Thank you SO much!!
Thank you so much for your concise explanation of the magic ring! I am new to crocheting and have had trouble figuring it out. I appreciate all your wonderful tutorials. You're a great teacher :)
