As a senior dev who has extensively tested the S21Fe Exynos and SD, I think its a top buy under 30k.
If you're a gamer and don't care about software, get the Chinese oems.
NP2 doesn't even stand a candle to S21Fe in cameras, especially in videos.
Something like Pixel 6a/7a are far ahead in cameras, AI and software if you care about that.
*S21Fe is a good balance but I suggest all to wait for S23Fe to get discounted @30k.* S21Fe won't receive longer updates going forward just like the Pixel 6a.

It'll get security patches till 2026.
Snapdragon version launched with 13 will go upto Android 17 so no issues with that
As a Photographer and a tech nerd who purchased this phone in the Flipkart sale, and now after using it i already got the February update and now i can tell hands down this is the best phone you can buy today even under 35,000, everything is of flagship level except the battery life which is good but not great, i personally compared it to my cousin's i phone 14 pro max and he himself said that my S21 fe takes better pictures, it was a night situation inside the car no lights, i took both the photos side by side. So i think this youtuber is just a hater or something because even while playing COD in max settings the phone got only mild warm and literally no lag and was so much smooth. Try it yourselves then ssy.

S21 fe is nowhere near NP2. They have similar optimisation, 85% of S21 fe camera is NP2. But np2 has 8+gen 1 and looks and feels premium.,No heating. phenomenal battery

I order this mobile with a price of rs 27250 for 128 gb but after watching this video I decided to cancel this order then read the comments and found that many current users are also here and giving some pros n cons. My current mobile has 3000 mah battery that too has a heating issue little more and 4.5 years old with a sot of approx 2.5-3 hrs max + poor camera + clean ui + light weight. That means I'm already use to with this problem. Neither I'm a heavy user nor a gamer but I like to watch contents, need good camera with good performance with clean ui + light weight + good sft exp and at least for 3 years which can be fulfilled by this phone. Yes I also required 5.5 - 6 hrs sot but with this price range I can compromise a little with this. Now come to technical issue like call drop or network prob or other things, in that case no one/brand can give me guarantee about that. So, I have to accept that point.
So, after reeding other users comments here and considering the cons I keep the order as it is and will be delivered within next 2 days I guess. Need the comments/recommendation of s21 fe genuine users. Thanks! 🙂

@dipakyadav3314I have been using this for more than a year(Exynos 2100).
Performance is good (not for gamers though especially not for bgmi. It gets hot around 42 43 degree C and gives frame drops).
Other than that this phone is way better than any phone around the price. Best ui according to me and for cameras it doesn't get super hot it just gets warm when taking pictures for longer period of time. Camera is really good. And I never faced this issue of shutter lag, At least not the way this guy said. I don't think you will be spam clicking photos. Just take photos with a gap of 1 second or 2. Videos are also very good.
But top of it display is just awesome. And has stereo speakers.
Just one thing it gets hot when using 5g. On wifi or 4g it works fine no issues with that.
As for battery it gives 5 hour backup on normal usage 120hz wifi/4g.
6 to 7 hour SOT on 60hz wifi/4g. 3 to 4 hour backup on heavy usage like video calls or using camera or using 5g.
On heavy usage it drains 24 percent battery every hour like playing bgmi for one hour will drain around 24 percent. Otherwise on light usage like UA-cam Instagram it drains 15 16 percent per hour.
I mostly stay at home so never had problem with battery. For outdoors you will have to get powerbank for sure.
This phone easily gives 6 to 7 hour SOT on 4g or wifi and 60hz and at least 5 hour on 120 hz too. Plus performance is good too. Even in bgmi on hot drops It easily maintains 55 58 fps. Since the processor has heating issues so after an hour it gets a bit hot. But for one hour it works really well. And no I did not face call drop or anything like that. If you are in good network area 5g doesn't drop even when device is hot. At least mine never did.
And phone gets hot mostly in pattern learning phase after that it works like any other device no heating issue.
As a senior dev who has tested both S21Fe Exynos and SD....get it under 30k. Pixel A-series and Samsung's Fe series are great overall.
If you're a gamer and don't care about software, look at Chinese OEMs.

Wrong judgment, disagree with your processor information, I have using this past 6 month there is no problem with this processor. Yeah sometimes in portrait it takes time to click back to back picture but the result got stunning everyone around my circle loved this phone.

This shutter lag is even a problem with S23 Ultra. It's a Samsung problem, not hardware problem.

First off all s21fe has only one big issue of battery backup other than that phones performance is top-notch. I'm also using s21fe i do get SOT of around 6.5hrs to max 7hrs. With a little bit of gaming in maximum use of social media. And yes Samsung as assured it will get android 16 including all the S21 series, so you can use this phone for another 3yrs without any issue. And as everyone knows Samsung gives monthly updates on time without any delay.

I have tried both phone 2 and s21 fe and trust me the overall experience of using s21 fe is superior to phone 2. I do not agree with your opinion.
I got the exynos a year ago, for 23k after exchange. It is working great and I never felt any lag or limitation. Camera is amazing as well.

It's the same with Nothing Phone 1. That's a 5G issue. Not an issue with the phone.
Right 30k is upper mid range, while 20k is midrange and 10k is should be the low end.
I bought this one in October and really liked it... But as March start to end and summer starts it gets really hot 🥵 you can't use 5G and browse outside for not more than 1-2 min it get really hot plus if some one call you in that time... Your ear will start to pain bcz of heat.
And plus 5G is not stable sometimes in it

I'm a user of the S21 FE, 888 Variant, and yes, it doesn't have the best battery, and does heat.
But shutter lag? Network issues? Poor photography? 😂😂😂
AND WHAT? You'll prefer Dimensity 7200 over this? At 30K? Seriously?
Guys, seriously, Dimensity 7200 is weaker than Snapdragon 855! A 2019 CPU! I am not even joking! If you don't care about spec, don't care about raw performance etc., get the Moto Edge 40 Neo. Has the same tier performance as Dimensity 7200, gives you the curved screen etc, for just 20K.
It is utterly ridiculous to say you won't choose 888, but will choose a processor that is basically 3 generations older.

Nothing under 45K will match this. Only the Pixel 7, or Galaxy S22, or Nothing Phone 2 are the next worthy upgrade.
The one, and only real issue of the phone is efficiency. Feels hot quite often on Snapdragon or Exynos, and drains battery quickly. But still, it is quick, snappy, fast even while hot, and battery is still not a worry for 99% cases, except if you're on a long trip with no access to charger. It is an easy 1-work-day phone even with Always-On and 120Hz, in my case ()
Normal usage main heat hota hai? By normal i mean constantly 2-3 hours of youtube etc and howz the btry backup?

This model is less than 1 Year old, and we haven't seen summer yet. That is the real test.
Up until now, even average Insta/YT sessions of mine don't cause any heating. Even while heating during video recording or maps navigation, I haven't seen lag, or anything bad.
Battery is fine. I get 5h screen on time with one full charge (with 120Hz, live wallpaper, and Always-On).
I believe you might get more, based on usage. I am a very light user with majority of my battery drain gone in idling.

There is a little bit of an issue in the battery it drains so fast that harsh users need to be charged by 2 times a day. But for an idle user it is okay.
