Angelina undeniably THE MOZART OF THE VOICE.
Simon required for her to sign an exclusive contract with his company, in order for her to win AGT, and she gave her answer with this song. If you look closely, you'll notice she is wearing a t-shirt with a picture of her as a child, when she won Norway GT. when she begins to sing, she gives him a glance and clearly he got the message, hence his stone cold face. Yellow brick road is a metaphor for a road of richness that I'm sure he (Simon) was proposing, and she obviously said no, so "Good bye Yellow Brick Road." Absolute genius.

Wow. How often could we hear such an impressive jazz singer? True to the genre, this artist put color, texture, space, unbelievable technique so the listeners could appreciate the full picture of a song. An artistry so gentle, so precious, so captivating. And she is 13 y.o.!

One of the things I love about listening to Angelina sing, is she is never overpowered by instruments. Her voice is always front and center, and any instruments are a soft accompaniment in the background.

Right after the first song I had heard Angelina Jordan sang, I told my sister, to check this girl out and that she's going to become the best singer in the world in both man or woman categories. She might even become the best singer in history. I have watched all the so called 'prodigies' singers from all over the world and they all can sing songs pretty, but no one come close to Angelina Jordan's level of interpretation and story telling abilities. That's why we are being so mesmerized, bewitched, put a spell-ed, hypnotized, magnetized, dumb founded, speechless, in awed, stupified, addicted, - - - (need to flip the dictionary for more superlatives ! )

These couple of songs' versions (Bohemian Rapsody and Goodbye yellow brick road) with She + one guitar, and She + one piano, are authentic master pieces, even though aren't complete songs. Angelina's talent is astounding! I have commented here in the past about the myriad specific qualities she has as a singer and they all apply to this performance. However, one thing jumped out at me on this one - when she sang the word "road" at the very end, there was no embellishment, no vibrato - just the purest of the pure voice of an angel. Her pianist deserves great credit for providing the perfect accompaniment to allow Angelina to shine.

As a former music teacher and jazz musician (retired), I am just amazed by Angelina Jordan. The purity of her voice is astounding. When it comes to embellishing lyrics, I use Ella Fitzgerald as the gold standard. She was like an instrumentalist - staying within the changes, using riffs of her own and of those who influenced her, always with the epitome of artistry. Angelina is almost in that class. I hope so much for her to become the Ella Fitzgerald of the 21st century. Thanks again for your professional perspective!

I agree with you, Master of Voice: Angelina Jordan is incredible, she touches your heart. What do you experience threw her songs? She is able to transform the songs to her own. Angelina is so relaxed, have a look at her face, she has complete control over her voice and every sound she makes. She often starts off weak and lets you feel her emotional involvement in both the lyrics and the melody. The message comes as soft as velvet, but gradually it builds up without you noticing to a powerful crescendo that comes unexpectedly where she captures you with great strength outside the tone you imagine she can reach. Even up there, she has complete control and is able to get down to "her bare feet" using advanced runs in a way few can do after her. The end of the songs are as silky as the beginnings. She puts air on the vocal cords before setting the tone, and this effect enhances her emotional empathy in the songs. What did she do with you? She has managed to capture your attention 100% and she has conveyed a message and song to you in such a way that you have to play it over and over again. She is a simple natural girl, 14 years of age without a lot of external facets and makeup. With a microphone and simple accompaniment of piano and guitar, she can reach your innermost in a remarkable way. I am Norwegian and proud of what she has done in her young life. Now, it is only to be hoped that those who will grind this gemstone do not destroy it, but keep all the fine talents she has and develop her ability to communicate it for the future. Not only is she beyond her years, but Angelina is also far beyond that dog and pony show competition. I fear she won't win because AGT loves splashy highly produced acts that work well on a Vegas stage, not a profoundly gifted soul with so much voice control, and talent for conveying big emotions with such empathy. I'm sure she will eventually be considered one of the great jazz singers of all time. You are an astute reactor and I have subbed your channel. I look forward to viewing more of your videos. She won't get a record deal. She already has her own label. Rumor has it that there is a new album set to be released sometime after the Finals. This is a genius move because she has just showed millions of people around the world that didn't know about her, what she is capable of. Oh, and if supposed leaks can be trusted, V unbeatable is crowned the winner. Hey, with "50 superfans" that no one knows who they are, doing the voting, you can get any act you want, to win.

I'm sure she'd love to win, but it doesn't matter. She got what she needed from this already; exposure to the American market just before she drops her first full album. The two performances she's done on this show will translate into millions of dollars in the bank for her, with hardly any of it going to any of the big music industry leeches. She may have signed a distribution contract with one of the larger labels (not implying here that she has, but it would be a smart move on her part) but to the best of my knowledge she's still completely independent when it comes to the recording aspect of her career. She certainly has her feet well planted, and a familial team around her that seems to know how to do exactly the proper things to keep them there. Kudos to all involved for doing such a fine job guiding her into her future.
Win or lose, these are two performances that she'll be able to look back on in the future with pride, knowing that she brought her A game to the front in both of them. The remaining members of Queen have already given her a huge stamp of approval for her rendition of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Hopefully, Sir Elton will have the grace to do the same for 'Yellow Brick Road'. That, in my opinion, would be a fitting end to this.

Her tone, style, phrasing , melismas and overall vocal manipulations are so unique. Although very different, she could develop to be on the same vocal level as some of the all-time greats.

I'm so intrigued about what You say about her vowel placement. It reminded me of what someone else said about her melismas, it's as if she's _dancing_ around the main note. Now we can add to that that she's colouring the music with the timbre of her voice, like an artist using his palette to create harmony in a painting.

That was Howie who said he loved the song BTW. In my humble opinion, Angelina Jordan is in a class of her own and she is heading for SUPER stardom with or without winning AGT Champions. Angelina is TOO GOOD and talented to even be on any TALENT show in the first place.
At present, it seems that it will be either Angelina or Marcelito who wins this competition. Both Angelina and Marcelito have amazing talent, HOWEVER IMHO, Angelina is a PURE TALENT while Marcelito is a GREAT talent with a "GIMMICK" which is why Simon told him to more or less step his game up without relying on the GIMMICKS which have taken him this far. Since it will be the SUPER fans and not SIMON who are voting, I would advise Marcelito to KEEP DOING WHAT WORKS for him!!!!
At the end of the day, I don't care who wins AGT Champions because whoever wins is worth the WIN!!!!
