    Just a tip. Don’t hammer the bearings in with a hammer like that. It’ll ruin the bearing. Use a pipe with a similar diameter as the outer ring and hammer on that to push the bearings in.

      If you find yourself needing to hammer in the same size bearings again and again, you can always 3D print something the same size as the outside diameter!

    Just a tip if youre planning on making this, you can skip printing the gears from the roll and directly put the motor to the spool if you add a PWM module to the input voltage of the dc motor. That way, you can reduce the speed of rotation of the spool and use less filaments for the structure and skip the gear ratios 😊
    Adendum:
    you can even add a potentiometer to the glue gun so you can adjust the temperature

    • @therelentlesscreator3938
      @therelentlesscreator3938 7 місяців тому +1

      my guess would be to use the gear that goes on the stepper moter but add a post to hold it with the drill or buy a piece of rod to use ( labeled "stepper_gear.STL") i don't know if that will actually work but thats where i would start im going to try this out idk yet if im going to use the head of a drill or a vex robotics motor/stepper

    • @therelentlesscreator3938
      @therelentlesscreator3938 7 місяців тому

      uppon looking at the file yes thats what you need but you also need hardware to clamp it to a metal rod ( i would groove the rod) there is a upgraded gear in the remixes tab if you have access to a file use it to file down a flat face on the rod with that one because it won't slip
