It's funny... I cried laughing when I saw it when it aired, but I still find I have the same reaction. So many shows have such canned jokes, but here are guys reacting in real time to something ridiculous, and it's somehow ten times funnier than a lot of stuff people put a lot of effort into.

Random SNES drunk sighting. I've enjoyed listening to your SNES music compilations! Still some of the best music ever. I like playing a lot of it on the piano.
I come back to this at least weekly just for the bit at @7:00 and Paul's laugh... Anyone know what the song is they play when the assisted living guy is shown?
Another classic. I am so happy that there is now the official handle for Dave. Also equally grateful for so many UA-cam folk who upload some forgotten classics.
Big agree. I'm happy that so far they haven't done any takedowns... the one guy has provided me literally weeks of entertainment while I work. And having this official channel with sanctioned classics makes it all better!
@@rocketreindeer aha! Just found a NYT article on him. I'd love for this channel to do a video on him! Or a "Donz Favs" recurring segment. What a trip.
I thought I was the only one who laughed my ass off at this. The more sideways a sketch is, the funnier Dave gets. I got the impression the writers may have had some difficulty pulling decent stuff together, then just threw it on his desk anyways knowing Dave (and Paul) would make it gold. This would have been a dud in the hands of someone that's not naturally funny.
There was one during the 90s where he looked like Dave back when he started the show. A while later he showed it again and underneath it said David Letterman 1978. I wish I could find that again.
Imagine waking up, going through your daily routine, making it through the day, going to the comments section of a youtube video and choosing to contribute punctuation correction to the world. As Dave would have said "get out of here!".

I remember a bit with "sideburn tape" (basically a roll of hairy scotch tape that you could tear off into pieces to yourself sideburns or a 'stache). Dave put some on his upper lip and commented how much he looked like Buddy Ebsen. They put up a pic next to him and the resemblance was uncanny.
Paul's laugh totally made this bit... especially the bit at @7:00... his "That's very sporting of you to put it that way!" while cracking up, slays me!
Sometime around 1989, Dave showed a photo someone sent in of a guy at their workplace who they thought looked like him. It got big laughs because the resemblance was uncanny, mostly due to the gap in his teeth and hair that looked like the Gulf of Mexico. Just ask Don to check his database. It would make a hilarious addendum to this great bit!
I watched this a couple of months ago and it's great to see it again, but in high-definition 1080p. Also, John Wiley could be a twin, same with Christopher.
The one guy looked much more like Toby from The Office than Dave. The audience was much better than Dave at picking who looked more like Dave. The hockey guy easily won.
only Dave can waste my time and I am still enjoying it. and LMAO. ha ha ha. seriously. ha ha ha. the bickford actually got my *** off my chair. ha ha ha
I am watching this in a coffee shop and I am laughing to tears. Dave was just amazing, turning nothing into comedic gold.

Yup!
David is UNIQUE!
“Yeah I mean you can FEEL the air leaking out of the theater”😂😂😂
Dave had no problem admitting when something was going badly, and then proceed to completely drive it into the ground.
The world just feels right again getting to see these segments.
I was just saying that .. what happened to this world ???????? seriously !?

The second guy was the closest resemblance of Dave to me.
The first 4 were all remarkably similar, but yes number two was uncanny. Like Dave’s actual Doppelgänger.

I can only watch Kimmel... he has some pretty good writers, but I get that the politics can definitely turn people off
He's not dead tho?
Look how wonderfully , Dave could laugh about himself. I love him!❤️❤️
I love when paul cackles
This is funny as Hell, LOL. The old man and the shingles guy had me crying, LOL.
Same and I loved how they had a woman too
At least they ended strong right
This comes across like the writers pulling a fast one on Dave
nice check.

The first three were good.
hory shet it's snes drunk
I come back to this at least weekly just for the bit at @7:00 and Paul's laugh... Anyone know what the song is they play when the assisted living guy is shown?
I did not expect the writers to go all-in on how many of them didn't look like Dave at all XD love that turnaround, just brilliant!
It’s a good thing DonZ is an advisor/curator for this channel now.
Love you Dave!
The joke about harassing the old man for another 10 best list was the best thing about the entire bit. But worth it.
Man i miss Letterman

Oh my gosh, this was hysterical!

I love hows there's a woman 😂🤣
Absolutely. It’s not always the bit, but more of what he does with it. :)
It would've been a dud because they probably looked less like these guys than Dave
It was like vintage Dave!
This would have been a dud in the hands of someone that's not naturally funny. (like Jimmy Fallon)
There was one during the 90s where he looked like Dave back when he started the show. A while later he showed it again and underneath it said David Letterman 1978.

I laughed so hard. Miss my Letterman. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself.

1:54 yeah the tooth gap is so accurate 😂
#2 was so close he could host the show, or at least pass for his twin brother.

People looking like Dave Letterman is comedy gold guaranteed.
Hockey Coach for the win. He had the eyes
love dave miss him
Well the last one with the scruffy beard was a bit of a glimpse futureward to the old mountain man look Dave currently rocks.
Absolutely hilarious.
1:49 for the win.
Paul was enjoying that skit a little too much. LOL
I've never laughed so hard 😂😂🤣🤣
That picture of the assisted living guy may be the reason Dave grew his Jebadiah Letterman beard
And no Michael Shannon? You gotta be kidding me
Man I miss this show.
Classic Dave!
This has quickly become my favorite channel on UA-cam.
I remember this one. Only ONE came close to resembling Dave. Others were not even close
I watched this a couple of months ago and it's great to see it again, but in high-definition 1080p.
Also, John Wiley could be a twin, same with Christopher.
Paul was sounding a lot like Ed McMahon during the last few.
You are correct, sir!
1:56 That's biif Henderson/letterman mixed face HAHAHAHHAA
This is so brilliant. The writers play a prank on Letterman and at the same time knowing that Dave has the talent to turn nothing into pure comedy.
“We should just call the segment: ‘Guys’”… and the immediate next one is Sheila. Dave still set the bar too high.
Definitely was from most to less….but somehow i think that was part of the gag……love Dave !!!!!!
That last one had me dying. 😂 missed when talk shows were highly entertaining. Nowadays, all they talk about is politics
" Guys who somebody thought look like Dave "
This was great. Looks to me like Dave's staff were having some fun.
Perfect face for radio
I still have MAD Magazine #322 where Dave is on the cover as an Alfred E. Neuman lookalike
This got funnier the less these people looked like Dave! 😂
2nd guy was spot on.
Splitting image of Dave.
The one guy looked much more like Toby from The Office than Dave. The audience was much better than Dave at picking who looked more like Dave. The hockey guy easily won.
so basically anybody with a pointy nose and glasses. XD
This segment was basically just a prank on Dave by his staff.
And then there's the newspaper "Mad" featuring Alfred E Neuman.
One guy looked like Hal Gurnee and two looked like Jack Riley.
I had a guy tell me once that I remind of the Santa's Helper that wants to be a dentist.
The second one is the clear winner.
Back in the day when watching this show on friday nights❤
The Fargo hockey coach was a dead ringer!
This deserves to be in one of those no, no, no, yes videos
Hasn't been a talk show host since that could make me laugh as hard as Dave did, and sometime the worse the bit, the funnier he makes it.
ferguson was better truly hilarious.
I think we peaked at the Coach.
If people did this to Jimmy Kimmel, he'd cry and say people were mocking him, and storm off the stage.
I love how they get progressively wors e
he used to do a segment called 'people who sort of look like dave'. Regis was on it one year
GOOD STUFF!
Cool. How do we get our Fan requests submitted? Want some Mujibur and Sirajul
Have you tried looking for it?

Hockey Coach gets the prize.
More staff picks! I want to see everyone old. Getting dave to provide commentry on popular interviews or talking about back stage give us anything!
please ... what HAPPENED to this world ???!! I feel like I'm in a horror movie! What happened to this show ? what happened to life ??
Can you post a video of the Grape Break bit?
Was this segment pulled after this one time!?! It should have been.
Famed Fly Fishing Master Gary Borger was the spittin' image of Dave.
The hockey coach had to be photo shopped
Okemos, Michigan (Lansing) wins! 🥇
The coach was the closest. If either the coach loses weight or Dave gains weight they will look extremely similar.
He had that hockey tooth
It really does feel like he had the wrong order
2nd one is spot on
The second one looks like a cross between Dave and Dan Blocker!
I went on a blind date and the lady...no kidding looked like David. I decided to not do any tricks for her~
I mean to be fair, the last one does have some resemblance to Dave now in 2022 🤣
NUMBER 2 ALL THE WAY LOL @1:43
only Dave can waste my time and I am still enjoying it. and LMAO. ha ha ha. seriously. ha ha ha. the bickford actually got my *** off my chair. ha ha ha
It's best if you watch this video in reverse.
Paul is loosing it at the assisted living guy!
Sheila looked like Dave's SISTER. (Dave has two sisters, Gretchen and Janice)
1:54 The second guy looks a lot like Scott Morrison.
A cross between Scott Morrison and Kevin Rudd, come to think of it…
You should go on guys who look like kenny rogers, for some unbridled hilarity
#2 looks like David and Biff had a baby.
Took me a second to realize the real point of the bit was the guys who _don't_ look like Dave.
And they all looked like Alfred E Newman as children.
Fan Request : Best of Things Thrown Off The Roof. I remember a huge bucket of those super bouncy balls.
Love this one. I Remembered when this aired thinking it was a screw-up.lol Hey, can you upload some of the kid scientist.
