Yea it rounds out features a lot and because of the nature of camera lenses, the perspective is thrown off too when looking at things or people. Our eyes have a wider range of view and can encompass everything in 3D but a photo is 2D trying to capture 3D. I always look really rounded and doofy in pics when in reality my face is actually a little flatter
@@Siffer12345 i guess what I failed to add on is that we have depth perception which can get skewed in pics since cameras have their issues with that too
The trick lies in not only her features but her personality. Her facial structure is very soft and smooth so anything with hard or dark lines won’t have like light hearted effect. I’d say the best way to capture her through art is either through charcoal, oil, or acrylic (anything that can be blended out really well)
I think this is the main shortcoming of his art. Some features are just too delicate and soft to be captured with thick straight lines. His female portraits seem to be too chiseled and masculine.
Unless you do a photorealistic portrait of her it’s really hard to capture how pretty she is. People can’t seem to get her facial proportions right. You did good with the last one though 👏
@@alopiaspelagicus1628 why does people always over exaggerating her? It's always "oh she's too pretty", "she's just too perfect" etc etc. While I do agree she's pretty it's not at the level at how people make it up to be. The thing is her face has no distinct characteristic whatsoever. She's mid that's why when artist draw her they turned out looking like anyone you just randomly meet on the street and not an actual famous actor. I think the reason no Zendaya portrait looks exactly perfectly right is because she is so diverse in terms of her looks. She doesn't have one specific, look that is consistent across all her media appearances. from day to day, she has drastically different, hair styles which changes her face shape, makeup styles, a lot of time she has no makeup. She always looks different. It's what makes her so beautiful. She is beautiful in every look.
News flash: That’s most (especially female) celebrities. She still looks like herself across those various styles. This is more of a factor of her facial structure being difficult to accurately capture in an essence, which is what all non-photorealistic art is.
@@Watermelon_Man Perhaps artists are hesitant to accurately capture her in fear of ruining her beauty. So they subconsciously "fix" her features and end up making her look way too generic. I've felt this before, especially when drawing Leonardo DiCaprio (young). I've not seen many people draw him accurately either. I've seen people capture her perfectly, usually by drawing hyperrealism, where the goal is to capture the person, and not interpret or translate them to their style.
