I know I’m late to this party, but I just found you… where have I been, lol? Your finished pages are incredible - the best I’ve seen in the Kerby books! 😍😍😍 I would LOVE to see you color more Romantic Country, Aeppol’s Forest Girl series, Menuet de Bonheur or Rhapsody in the Forest, and of course, Ink House. Those are just incredible books and your style suits them perfectly.

Oh thank you so much. Honestly there’s no artist out there comparable to Kerby. It’s just on a different level. My obsession is big 😂
Lovely work, Karen. I too first colored in Lost Ocean, in 2014(or thereabouts). With, yes-fineliners! Stabilo 88’s and Triplus. I even colored the covers, with Bic Marking Intensity ultra fine alcohol markers. My copy is long gone; I left it in Panama 🇵🇦 where I lived before coming here to Oregon, USA. (I needed a change; so I relocated.🙂). Wow does this take me back. Thank you.

I love your coloring I’m glad you use Prismacolor pencils because out of all my pencils I use Prismacolor most. Because they blend so well. I love you coloring combinations.

You know I have had my Millie Marotta book for so long now and I’ve never touched it. I keep telling myself to try a page so it’s definitely a possibility 😁
I am a fan of Kerby Rosanes and still very busy with Worlds within worlds. I ordered the book Fragile world. I also have the book Mythomorphia, but I haven't started it yet. First finish the book www. But if you have time to spare I would love to see color alongs from Mythomorphia. I have already saved the Goblin page. 😀

Yes totally agree!!! I can put up with the odd 1, like Kerby sometimes does… but I’d rather they weren’t there. I want to know who actually is searching for the hidden objects? I just want to colour lol

You can use matte white paint to cover up stuff
Oh yep, for the ‘ruined’ pages. I’ve seen other people use gesso to cover over the parts they don’t like but I’m yet to try it.
Wow what wonderful coloring!!! How do you choose your color palettes ? You definitely stand out as a colorist just by the vibrant coped pages . Especially in World of Flowers ! Hi Gail 👋🏼 thank you so much. I can usually picture the page coloured in my head which helps me choose colours. My 12 year old son likes to “supervise” my colour choices sometimes too 😂
Oh, I love the Ink House -- I don't have it -- but if you do color alongs - I will!! I also have Rhapsody in the Forest -- I would love a color along!

I love the way you colour. Can't wait for some free time so I could do one of the pages with you. You said you'll redo Goblin (from Mythomorphia ) in the English version. I think perhaps do it in different colours than first time. It would be interesting to see and compare. What do you think?

Hi I just have a small, cheap set. I think mont marte is the brand off the top of my head and I use Micador matte workable fixative when I finish each page 😁
Lovely Karen - I am sure you know but you can get 150 prismas for $130 on Amazon atm. That is crazy for Australia - just in case you need a back up set 👍

Your pages are lovely but that first page with the monkey was absolutely AMAZING. Thanks for sharing, and your video is well done. (Edit: I’d love to see color alongs in the Romantic Country books{or anything else really. Lol}. And I feel your pain on those Klara Markova books. It’s about the same price to buy them from Etsy and have them shipped to the US. I have her first two books only because she put those on Amazon US for $28 and there wasn’t any shipping. I just can’t bring myself to pay that much when I could get multiple “regular” books for the cost of one Klara book)

I would like to ask you I have Prism colors premier have had them since 2016 then added Faber- Castell 120 in 2017 a couple years ago add Arteza I don’t use them much a long with my Castle arts.
Have been thinking 🤔 of Derwent intense or if I order Chromaflow ? Or luminance color pencils ( because I am done ordering cheap color pencils that I don’t use it’s not like Inam on you tube 😊)
What is your opinion I would just like to know coming from someone how know her color pencils better than me. Although I have herd it was that cheaper pencils work better of cheap paper like Johanna Basford made that’s why she uses ego soft Staedtler have used her fine liners are goo for those hard to rich places but if not used often they do dry out kinda fast or made it was a bad bunch ?
I do understand not even one can afford expensive pencils. When I first started out with adult coloring it was my daughter who got me into it.
We just used Crayola they have so many beautiful colors. But then move on to Prisma and could tell the difference.
If you have any advice I would appreciate it .

These pages are absolutely beautiful, and I am in no way on this level, but do you seal your finished pages 🥰
Thank you so much. I do seal the pages with a workable matte fixative. I use the brand Micador (I think it’s an Aussie brand).

I love prisma colors! How do you keep your pages so clean? My prismas smudge no matter what I do.
I use a workable fixative on each page. But I do get smudges still in uncoloured pages because I press so hard. But it comes off easily with an eraser. Some people put paper in between to stop the transfer but I don’t like colouring with paper underneath personally.
I am also obsessed with Kerby. I have all of his books & doubles. I have 2 have 2 of each of his books. I try 2 color other books but I always go back to his books. U r correct the US spines are terrible. My copy of Geomorphia & Fantomorphia literally fell apart.
I wonder why the US publishers have never gotten on board to change the binding to be sewn and glued like the UK books. Especially when so many complain 🤷🏻♀️ haha well you can never have too many Kerby books so I get having two of each 😁 I’ve been trying to find Sketchy Stories, this book seems like a unicorn it’s so hard to find 😂
