    This will work for some people and won’t work for others. It depends on your hair history, what colors you used and so many other factors. I’ve done This SO many times and my hair has never fallen out. That being said just because mine didn’t fall out doesn’t mean your hair won’t. If your doing some weird at home mix of things like I do YOU are risking damage to your hair. I made this video because it has been a life saver for me. If YOU choose to do this YOU are taking a risk, it’s not on me. Mmkkkaayyyy????

      I change my hair color every few months and I usually use bleach baths to remove color from my hair, because nothing else really works. Is this comparable to a bleach bath, in how well it removes color?

    • @AkaAislinn
      @AkaAislinn  4 роки тому +23

      Depends on the color. It doesnt work that well on blue and green hair I’ve had the most success with purple pink and orange colors. In my opinion it’s way less damaging than bleaching your hair 👍🏻💕

    If you only have 20 vol - mix it with water 50/50 = 10 volume. For example 2 ounces of 20 vol mixed with 2 ounces of water = 4 ounces of 10 volume developer ( thats what we do in the salons) If you'd rather use 5 volume then water it down a little more!

    This worked flawlessly on my hair. Bleached my hair then used a “silver” semi-permanent that turned out to be purple. This also happened to be at like 3am and I had shit to do the next day. In panic, I came here and literally had everything you mentioned. I used a 20 developer and went a little heavier than you did. Left in for 30 mins and my hair is now a light metallic blonde. Life saver!
    And for what it’s worth, I can confirm that this recipe works on black natural hair bleached to platinum blonde.

    I tried this method without dandruff shampoo and only used purple shampoo and dawn dish soap, baking soda and 20 developer. My hair was faded Extreme Teal by Overtone. I dyed my hair twice, and my roots are coming back in. I'm applying for jobs and need to get it all out so I have a more professional hairstyle for my next job. This WORKED FOR ME! My hair is normal wavy and I have a buzzed side pixie cut, so very short hair. I've only dyed it this once, so the method stripped almost all of the color out. There are some blue areas where it was still pretty vibrant in the middle, but overall this worked wonders and toned down the original yellow bits of the original bleach blonde. Thanks for the tips!

    • @carolinemk8
      @carolinemk8 4 роки тому +3

      By the way, for all things when using chemicals or bleach: let your hair get oily. Do the treatment after 5-6 days of not washing your hair. The more oil the better! Maybe do a few masks beforehand if your hair is already dry. Also doing a 15 minute mask afterwards helps. NEVER do this after you just washed your hair the night before. Your hair will be too clean and may become suuuper dry or damaged.

    For anyone worried about doing this on damaged hair, it does vary for everybody but half of my bangs I recently bleached and dyed green. I bleached them once again after this and used this method today to make the ends lighter. My hair is damaged, but I have thick hair and it has NOT made my hair break more or fall out. However if you have thin hair it may affect it more, I’m not sure. Like she says do it at your own risk but for me it was fine - it should be fine for you too If you have damaged hair. And yes it did work but slightly so I’ll have to do it a few more times to get the colour I want.

I did a 2 month wait before trying this. I’ll let you know if I’m bald or not! UPDATE: I left it on for 45 minutes and it didn’t do much, so I did another 10 minute treatment, still not even close to her white hair. BUT without propper meassurements, it metaled a few patches of my hair. so i have to carefully comb my hair out when it dries from a shower. It did okay of removing a bit of the color out, but not as much. the purple shampoo did help of getting the yellow out, so now the yellow is a silver, LOL. This is my update for you of how I handled it, in the process i'm going to let my hair grow out and then cut away the hair I have "damaged" over the times of coloring and lightly CAREFULLY bleaching my hair. thank you so much for the videos you post up, love your work and stay beautiful!!!!

    I tried this method just the other day. It took most of the pink out of my hair but not much of the blue. The blue turned bright greenish lol. I literally thought id have to shave my head bald because the mixture wouldn't rinse out of my hair 😂
    It was like never ending soap suds.
    I almost had a panic attack lmao.

    I read to use powdered absorbic acid, with dawn, rather than baking soda. Developer is hydrogen peroxide, and along with baking soda, that is, in itself, the ingredients of most teeth whitening products.

      Dea' I use powdered ascorbic acid (vitamin c) mixed with shampoo to remove my hair colour. I don’t add developer, which is far too damaging to my already bleached hair. The vitamin C method works well but is slower than this method since you need to do it a few times to get it back to blonde (or close enough). It’s also a bit drying so I always do a deep condition after.

    So I did this and my hair started falling out. I totally think it was on me and I trying to add more baking soda then suggested to make it thicker.
    DONT DO THAT! Lol.
    And like any hair dye job start from the ends and work your way up to the roots.
    Another thing!!!! Under no circumstance should you use any developer above volume 10. If you do you have such a higher risk I'm making your hair fall out. If you're really scared but want to try I would suggest a strand test just like any hair dye would have you do so you can also see how 1) your hair reaction 2) if it's actually worth the time, effort and money 3) how much you will actually need.
    Hope this is helpful ♥️ and please learn from my mistakes 😂🤷

    I’m trying this right now, I have ash blonde roots but I have box dye red/burgundy hair from a permanent box dye, I mixed
    Purple shampoo
    Baking soda
    Dawn dish soap
    Head and shoulders shampoo
    20 volume developer
    Will check in 30 mins might keep on for 45mins to an hour :) hoping most of the colour comes out.

    This process doesn't really damage it but it does really dry it out Because baking soda is stripping everything in your hair, the unnatural pigment, The built up product, and the oils. So it does make your hair very dry! Definitely deep condition afterwards

      1 teaspoon of coconut oil

      it came out in 4 washes, didnt damage my hair like every other one I tried, plus the bleach isnt even activated so it doesnt damage your hair

    Why the heck are yall using dawn disliquid when you do not know what chemicals are in it? Anyway afterwards please do a wheat protein treatment and neutralize your hair to help restore the ph. You can also do a collagen or gelatin treatment for your protein.

      I had some bright neon red for several months during quarantine. I think there’s something about red pigments that make them stubborn. So I just tried this.. my situation was I used splat purple dye and my hair rejected half of it, so I then put a permanent purple on and it still rejected it. So I tried this. My hair is now blotchy lighter pink, and my roots are YELLOW! I was hoping and praying this would work, but unfortunately, because, what I believe is that the splat is what rejected this from working. So probably don’t use this if it’s splat!

    So I did notice that the mixture looked kind of runny in the video but holy hell it is a lot worse trying to put that on one's own head. It was dripping everywhere. I added more baking soda thinking that that would help and no matter what I did it was the same consistency. The same thing happens when I did the vitamin c treatment. Just very runny. Although this is runnier! It's sitting on my head right now and I'm trying to catch the drips that come down out of my shower cap. I will probably come back and comment again to say how it turned out.

    I actually did this same mix before seeing this video, and it didn't take much of the color out for me :( I used Iroiro's pink, diluted with conditioner, and came out brighter than I wanted. I did a bleach bath 5 days later, and also only removed a TINY amount of the color. It's surprisingly been difficult trying to fade this color.

    What is the purpose of the Dawn & dandruff shampoos? That's high alkali items and you mix with baking soda which is a lower Ph. You already have the sudsing shampoo which is a high alkai, too. The developer is also a lifting item with a high Ph, yet I can see the need for that.
