Hahahah ME TOO!!! It’s such a 1st world problem, but holy cow! I hate when anyone sits on the couch because I see the cushions instantly starting to fall forward off the couch😆and I have 3 kids🤣
@@Titiandtheband I think I'd rather set the sofa on fire. Seems like it would be a lot more fun. We are finishing our basement and I know exactly what to look for when we buy a couch when it's finished. The cushions will be attached that's for damn sure.
I came for this reply and was not disappointed. I am going to simply poke a hole at the scene of the cushions and create tie ons and then attach corresponding ties in the couch and tie them in.
I had the same issue (and the same couch); I used rug gripper which works a little better. I still have to readjust the cushions but usually weekly rather than a couple times a day. I also made sure to place the gripper in the direction of the 'slide' rather than across; that provides the most friction.
I tried this but it rolled up. I tried adhesive wide velcro attached to cushions & couch. Less sliding, but still. I think it's time for me to get a couch with attached cushions. Thanks for sharing tho 😁 P.S. the flower wall is lovely.
I have the exact same couch and have been trying to figure out how to get the cushions to stop sliding. I’ll definitely give this a try and let you know how it turns out. Only exception to my situation is I have a Rottweiller puppy that currently weighs in excess of 80lbs at 8 months old.
You are awesome. We have a sectional and the chase would separate and cause a big gap when you laid on it. I went to our local dollar store, bought the exact contact paper and woooo hoo, worked like a charm. $3.00 problem fixed. Thank you so much!
You're not alone! This should work out nicely! I'll have to give it a go. I usually think of practical solutions like this, but I just couldn't figure out any long term fixes for my couch aside from double sided velcro or something similar.
Wow ! I use those for the bathroom rug … what a great idea , mu cushions never stay in place , lm going to do thins , thanks so much for putting this out here 👍👍👍
SOOOO HAPPY I found this video. Running out to buy those liners for the EXACT same sofa. I also watched your other video about slouchy cushions and will stomp all over them now. I was giving up on it after only a little over a year of owning it. Thanks!
I will certainly give this a try, however if it doesn't work, I'm going to sew some fabric strips into lacing ties and attach them directly to the couch so the cushions can be tied in.
I wish those worked for me. I wound up having to get velcro tape. I might get some of the gorilla glue rug grippers and use those instead. The velcro keeps the custions in place for about 6 months, but then they start a very small migration. When I went to pull the custions up to move it back, it pulled one side of the velcro off. I recently had to take the bottom very bottom liner off to repair a cracker member. I noticed I could reach through the inside and out the top where the cushion sits. I think I might try to use a string/web attachment. My idea is to attach some overall latches (found in the sewing section of Walmart) and sew 2 of those to each cushion. The use a string or something to route through that hole, down and out to the fron bottom of the couch. I'll then use a zip type attachment to tighten the cushion to something on the inner front, the excess would be able to wrap around hooks on the inside to keep the excess from showing. Hopefully this writing comes through to a picture in your mind. If anyone would like to see the final product, comment and I'll get back to you. (that is, if I do it and it actually works.)
Omgosh so awesome, going to be trying this! I actually have them on the bottom of the sofa legs to keep it from sliding against the laminate floor, thanks B
amazing! this wasn’t a big issue until i got my second dog who is a 50 lbs. they will chase each other. if one jumps on the couch, the other follows whether it’s from the front or behind. the poodle is still a puppy. none of this was a huge deal with the 5 yr old small labradoodle but the big poodle is learning from the older dog 🤦🏾♀️
This makes perfect sense, because when you think about it, those shelf liners are so much like what you put under rugs to keep them from sliding around on the floor. Brilliant! And, two thumbs up for your assistants! They were true professionals! (Rez and the Pink Panther music...😂😂😂)
These pads are very expensive. Best thing is to stick one piece of vessel scrubber (that flat green coloured one) at the centre on the top of wood with the help of double sided adhesive tape and place the cushions on top of this. It works nicely.
For seat cushions or mattress toppers that just do not stay in place, I think there's only one solution...and that's sheet rubber 1/4 inch (4mm) thick. Now where to get it from? (U.K.)
Seriously, wow super awesome idea. I wonder if this will work on my leather sofa, if anyone knows, please respond back to me to let me know or to suggest what I might use. Thank you.
I think it should work the same for leather, perhaps even better since it may stick better to the slicker surface :). You can always just try with one $1 roll to test it out! But I think it should work like a charm still 😁
+Kandace Espinoza it's the worst thing ever isn't it?? I hope you can try it! It really helped my sanity to not have to constantly push the cushions back in all the time :)
I bought lazy boy couch they don't slide at all. My neighbor didn't like my couch she said hers was nicer but I saw a women sit down on it and slide almost into the fireplace
I move my couch cushions back into place about 659 times per day. Thank you!
Hahahah ME TOO!!! It’s such a 1st world problem, but holy cow! I hate when anyone sits on the couch because I see the cushions instantly starting to fall forward off the couch😆and I have 3 kids🤣
I move my couch cushions about 660 times per day (hehehe). I don't know what took me so long to look for a solution.
I don't trust my couch at all anymore, so I think I will do this + superglue + nail the cushions in place.
eizhowa looooolll
Me
idk why your comment made me chuckle for a couple seconds. Probably had to do with the fact that you "don't trust your couch"
My couch for frick sake
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I did this and it didn't work. I've had this couch for one year and I'm about to throw it in the backyard and set it on fire.
@@Titiandtheband I think I'd rather set the sofa on fire. Seems like it would be a lot more fun. We are finishing our basement and I know exactly what to look for when we buy a couch when it's finished. The cushions will be attached that's for damn sure.
I feel this response, big time
Did you try velcro?
@@MSG685 that was an idea as well, but it's too late cause I set the couch on fire six months ago.
I was so hoping this would work because it's going to save my marriage
I use this shelf liner under rugs, too. Works great to keep them in place during vacuuming.
Nope. Tried it some time back. The so-called rubber grip fabric just curled up under the cushions, and the migrating continued.
I came for this reply and was not disappointed. I am going to simply poke a hole at the scene of the cushions and create tie ons and then attach corresponding ties in the couch and tie them in.
Carpet Tape works better.

I swear I found this out yesterday and so happy it worked. Imma keep my dusty old couch a few more years.
I tried this but it rolled up.

Thanks for sharing tho 😁
P.S. the flower wall is lovely.
Woohoo! This worked well for my sofa! FINALLY!
Love the Pink Panther cameo!
I watched this a couple days ago. Tried it and can't believe how well this works. Thank you.
I wasn’t sure how to even articulate this problem. Can’t wait to try this. Dollar Tree here I come!
I have the exact same couch and have been trying to figure out how to get the cushions to stop sliding.
I’ll definitely give this a try and let you know how it turns out.

OMG all these years l've been suffering in silence. Thank you for sharing this hack 😍
Love it! Thanks for showing the dogs playing on the couch, this is exactly why I am trying to keep the cushions from moving!
Yo what if that flower wall comes down into that fire!!
Joe Ray my same thoughts
Truly!
Fire hazard 100%
Its dangerous 😬
😂😂
She should be on TV she is such a natural talent.

Thank you so incredibly much you have saved me from taking a blow torch to this couch 😂
You're not alone!
This should work out nicely! I'll have to give it a go.
I usually think of practical solutions like this, but I just couldn't figure out any long term fixes for my couch aside from double sided velcro or something similar.
Thank you! I have small kids and that will buy me time with this old couch lol
Wow ! I use those for the bathroom rug … what a great idea , mu cushions never stay in place , lm going to do thins , thanks so much for putting this out here 👍👍👍
Did this and it works, so freaking amazing!
SOOOO HAPPY I found this video. Running out to buy those liners for the EXACT same sofa. I also watched your other video about slouchy cushions and will stomp all over them now. I was giving up on it after only a little over a year of owning it. Thanks!
I have tried this and it will only work for maybe a week. I guess I need something stronger. Thanks for sharing😊
I just bought a new couch and tried this yesterday and it totally has worked so far, so happy it was an easy hack that doesn’t affect the cushions
TY, I will try it. I wish I had of kmown that I could use it to keep rugs in place, too.
I will certainly give this a try, however if it doesn't work, I'm going to sew some fabric strips into lacing ties and attach them directly to the couch so the cushions can be tied in.

How did it work eventually?
Yes I am wondering also if it worked....Jerie
Omgosh so awesome, going to be trying this! I actually have them on the bottom of the sofa legs to keep it from sliding against the laminate floor, thanks B
Oh wow that's a good idea!!!!
Actual video starts at 1:10
How can you firmly attached the back cushions? i.e. the vertical ones?
😂😂😂 that was funny!!! She was like OMG 😲 FREAKING WALL FLOWERS....lol
Lol, I just said I love the flower wall then the flower feel....soooo funny but i still love it, don't take it down.!
Watching this two years later. If this doesn’t work going to try sewing D-rings with a strap. Thanks for the vid!
Did it work I need to know if we need to start sewing lol
Great tip. I will give it a try. I think those two big ass dogs on my couch would drive me crazier than the cushions! LOL

I love your 2 litters . Hope they are doing well .👍
I did not know this.... this is AWESOME!!
The flower wall tho😍
WHERE DID YOU GET THAT COUCH?!?
Goin rn to buy itt! I have suffered enough with this cushion migration 😂😂😂😂
I LOVE THIS IDEA AS WELL AS THE COUCH!!
OMG this is awesome! Thank you!!
Wow what a great idea next time I go out I'll make sure I give this awesome idea a try and tell my friends or neighbors thank you very much.

I’m going to give this a try
Well who'd a thunk😲😁
The bottom part of the coach is good. My problem are the top pillows, they move when I sit down. What can I do?
Thank you such a great idea.
I have the same exact type of sofa lol THEY SLIDE SO MUCH ITS SO ANNOYING im so happy i found this

Shelf... paper.......you are a genius.
Thanks for sharing. Fave part is the flower wall flub. Too funny and real! Lol
the flower wall incident cracked me up. love it so I subscribed lol
Falling flowers :) Is that a first world problem?
great idea, wow, how easy, cheap and a sure fix
Does it pass the jumping 3 yr old test? 😂🤪
Right because that's what brought me here lmao
Sooooo smart, I have the almost same couch as you and suffer the same problem. I will try your method!
Xiaoyu Gu well did it work???
Yes, It works! You are so smart!
Thank you!
It’s the back cushions that are doing my head in.
I have to try this!
Omg we have the same couch hahaa I need this!
It's a pretty couch! Thanks😊
Great idea
this is AMAZING and I have the same couch.

Velcro is the best, but the glue on the backing might not take.
Going to try this! Can’t wait! Thanks! I just subscribed to ur channel!
I have the exact couch and I though I tried this before and didn't work.
What a great idea ! Thanks for sharing . Keep those videos coming , good stuff .
Sometimes the easiest solutions are the best. Great idea and great doggies.
I saw a black shadow and then an orb, right when the flower falls.
I wanna see another wall flower fall again 😏🤣🤣
Going to get some tomorrow. And put it together the kid's test
Tutorial starts a 1:32
This is perfect for me! We have the same couch lol!!
I'm wondering should I use double stick foam tape under the liner to reinforce it
Did you do It? And did it work?
Iris Dutra not yet but i still think i should because my couch pillows still slide....
Brilliant ❤️
Seriously, wow super awesome idea. I wonder if this will work on my leather sofa, if anyone knows, please respond back to me to let me know or to suggest what I might use. Thank you.

I just recently tried it and it worked out for me perfectly fine. Thanks again.
Cool I will try that thanks
This is a major problem in my house and it's so bothersome. We also have the same exact sectional too!!
+Kandace Espinoza it's the worst thing ever isn't it?? I hope you can try it! It really helped my sanity to not have to constantly push the cushions back in all the time :)
Hmm ill try it
Velcro strips work better.
Thnk yu for this cuz when I'm straightening up my den I've always wondered WHY WHY WHY!!!!LOL
Thanks a million!!!!!!' BTW, your dogs are soooo cute!
i'm gonna do this; better work...
Jason Lee 🤣
How about leathers?
That’s work 👍🏻
I tried this method of stopping the cushion shift before seeing your post...did NOT work AT ALL for me.
This video made me laugh outlaid. thank you!
Watch those candles. They could start a fire--especially with all that stuff falling them.
This video is the best🤗🤗🤗🤗
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
thank you!
Haaa. I like the title. "Migration"
This really works
Did you Joe and actual person sitting on them and getting up and they didn't move
Did you show an actual person getting on and off of the couch to show it works for people
I bought lazy boy couch they don't slide at all. My neighbor didn't like my couch she said hers was nicer but I saw a women sit down on it and slide almost into the fireplace
Where did you get your couch?
+Mrs. Joiner I got it at Rooms to Go about 2 years ago :)
nice video
