    Very cool to see your set up and how it works. I would make a .999 belt buckle, those are hard to find and a good way to always have silver on you .

    I wish you would have shown some videos of you hammering out the copper bars and toning them. Good job on the bars they came out great.

      Hammering is just that.. hammering and for toning copper you can use sulphur or the blow torch works good. If you do either method you’ll see instant results. Truly a no brainer on the subject

      @Spegtacular I'm going to leave you a one oz round with Coin GuyI bought in my hometown of New Orleans. The design on it is a water meter lid. If you look up Crescent City water meter, you'll see images of the real thing. If you ever had up to New Orleans I'll point you in the direction of my favorite shops.     Nice finished bar… I have a gas furnace that I use outside for copper and aluminum. I’m going to get an electric one for my silver and gold, right now I just use my hand torch for those.

      @mrsspegtacular6484 yes my girlfriend's uncle lives in Hudson. I called coin guy on Saturday to see if he was going to be open today he said yes but there's a cardboard sign on the door that says otherwise. I'll try again tomorrow on my way out of town.

      @@mrsspegtacular6484 I got out of town for Mardi Gras cuz it can get crazy. It's hard to get around town with a bunch of parades rolling. It's hard to get a restaurants grocery stores bars any place you would want to go. And on Tuesday the whole city closes down.

      My dad gave my girlfriend a quarter eagle gold coin in a bezel. She was wearing it on a silver chain. I got her a gold chain and told her there were bigger coins of the same kind that you could put on there. She bought the bigger coins.

    You are working with high temps. so make sure you use the gloves they sent when pouring your bar. You got any hair left on your hand? I'm a refiner and assayer of precious metals. I caught that. At least you remembered to put it on for cooling it🙂Very informative video. Nice pour and clean, crisp removal from the mold.

      My hands and arms are hairy, yes. You can see my unrivaled hairiness in my videos. Been melting for a few years now and my hair has adopted a heat tolerance of over 1800 degrees!
      Orrrrrrrr I’m just careful… but yes, you should wear gloves.

    How long does it take from machine on until the 15ozt bar is poured?
    I would love to do this but don't have a lot of spare time.
    Is it 30 minutes or 3 hours is my question in other words?

    Are there any legal hurdles you have to get over to mark silver as .999 fine? i.e. having to get them assayed? While we know you are melting .999 silver to make the bars, once the rounds are melted, there isn't a "paper trail" on file to prove it. Not hating, love your content and channel, just always curious about the legal aspect of marking our own poured silver. Thanks!

      Here not exactly but if you do sell something that isn’t what it says it is, you’re committing fraud. In Europe it’s different and I believe by law they must be sent out to be assayed and stamped/hallmarked.
