always ditch 2 or 3 pointers for better more well known players to come in off bench if you have them they can score much bigger perhaps it is not a certainty but that is why risk and reward is for the boldest of game week players of this format
The only raason wildcard for start of GW2 makes sense is to lock in price of players before they go up. I a later round If you anticipate a team winning so load up players of that team and that team goes out - you can end up wishing you'd not taken that approach - it's a toss of a coin decision.

I'm very flexible on strategy. What's the pros and cons of rolling the limitless in match day 2, then wildcard in match day 3?
Im happy to gamble on using free transfers in the quarter finals onwards.
I feel the limitless may have more value in 2 than 3 because every team still has so thing to play for and will play their strongest teams. I know some fixtures aren't great, but goals will still be scored - probably by the big names too.
I can then treat my wildcard in 3 as a free hit, and with a few teams through, their cheaper players may be getting some starts
Thoughts?
Those are my thoughts for limitless as well. Especially if you have 2 or Belgians. They are almost guaranteed to play the strongest team in MD 3 because they need the 6 points to be sure they’re qualifying.
The problem is in other players. Germany is almost sure to be resting their best players so if you have 3 of them, you’re pretty much stuck with at least 1. Same can be said for France who are most likely beating the Netherlands. Also for Portugal.
It’s very tricky, there are clear pros and cons in using limitless in either of the group stage MDs. I’m still torn on what to do, but I’m leaning towards using it on MD 2.

My MD1 Team is perfect for MD3 also, especially if you consider the 2 free transfers. I‘ll just go for limitless in MD2, get my MD1 team back for MD3 and use Wild Card in the quarter finals.

Would you stick with Wirtz as captain or risk on lukaku or ronaldo?
Same dilemma here but with Lukaku and Mbappe. Need to be looking at 2 goals and a POTM to make it worthwhile. Depends how adventurous/confident you feel. I think I'm gonna bottle it and stick with what I got for Wirtz. If I was gonna choose one I'd go for Lukaku over Mbappe as it looks to be an easier fixture but Lukaku or Ronaldo is a closer call. Good luck with your decision.
You can change your captain everyday. Start with Wirtz since Germany play first, if he doesn’t do well then change to the others

Question, if I use my limitless in MD2 can I still use 2 transfers for my original squad in MD3?
You lose the free transfers
You'd still get 2 free transfers for MD3. If you use limitless or wildcard in MD2, the 2 free transfers for MD2 are lost and they're not carried forward.

That being said, sadly I think Belgian defence is slightly overrated in international press. I don't see them getting many clean sheets as they're too nonchalant

I need to change my captain. I got KDB, Lukaku and Mbappe. Mbappe is the obvious choice for me but France play the stronger team. Don’t know what to do, who would you guys captain?
