Looks like a great place for a walk and great when places are given back to nature. Such interesting history as well, and the Sean Connery fact was interesting. Lovely filming again. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, looks a beautiful place and I loved the commentary, really interesting! Just wondering, what did you use to show the trail map at the beginning of your video? Guessing it’s an app or something, I’ve wanted to add something like that to the beginning of my walking videos and that looked perfect. Great video, subscribed and look forward to seeing more! 👍😁
Thanks Alex. To do the route map, I simply take a screen shot of a map (viewranger map for me), then in paint I crop it to 16:9. I load this into Adobe after effects, re-size to fit my video and then add a shape layer. I use the pen tool to draw the lines and then use trim paths to animate them.
Very cool history! I like all the metal circles, they look very artsy, not sure if that was on purpose? Oh wow, Sean Connery as a kid! His dog kinda looked like Noah!
The metal circles were part of an outdoor art project to turn the area in to an outdoor art and rural landscape. The art was to provide a reminder of the mining past. Thanks for watching.
Great walk and what a perfect day. Makes such a relaxing watch and great commentary too. Thanks for sharing and all the best, Paul

Thanks. I always feel a little sad when a town has been wiped off the map with little reference to its existence remaining. Thanks for watching.

Wondered what that was as you drive up the M90 northbound! Nice content.
