Thank Dirk, I am so glad that enjoyed the video and found it inspirational. You live in a beautiful part of Europe, rich in history. (We have stayed twice near Leuven on holiday.) If you want to get more information about these early Christian missionary heroes, then please check out our 'Book Distillery' Podcast, also listed on the Saving Europe UA-cam channel. God bless you and thank you again for expressing your appreciation, Henry

Asceticism has always been an integral part of Christianity, but has often been misapplied. Jesus did not advocate asceticism as the path to salvation, but as a way to protect our hearts from being captured by the love of the materialism of this world. Asceticism cultivates self discipline and restraint so that we can find fulfillment each day in this world while storing our treasures in higher realms.

apologies for the late answer. Yes, it is frustrating that youtube links do not 'run' on facebook. you could rip the video and then reupload the mp4 file to facebook, I suppose if you are a bit tech savvy. anyway, thank you for the interest. Whithorn is amazing! Henry
