I've constantly been unhappy with my style and I've not drawn anything in almost a year because I keep getting so frustrated with how my art looks. Stumbled across this today and it has inspired me to get back into drawing as it's given me so much information I never had before and I can already see improvements after drawing the scary *cough* beautiful guideline faces. Thank you so much for posting this video, you might have just gotten me back into art.
Its hard to find a style but just take all the information you know and use it, other styles will become different styles that will become your art style no one is born a great artist the slowly become a great artist, if you see art you like you work it into you style and soon you will make greater art than the art you saw, it may be a hard process but its worth it
sophie this is sooo relatable, i really hated how my art looked like (Dav Pilkey sort’ve style) and i stopped for a, really, really long time. once i was at school and it came to mind. what if i made an anime intro concept? im watching all these videos for lots of tips and style ideas
I hope this video was helpful! If not..well at least we enjoyed 5 sec of my dog destroying the anatomy book! 🔥 UPDATE: Well...that was unexpected! THANK U all for subscribing & commenting - I tried to answer as many as I can! I am truly bedazzled and bamboozled how this video got so many views! 😱
I was trying to simplify my style (or lack off) and I can say this video is my new bible. Watching it is easy and funny but it's full of information and tips. I'm became an inconditional fan. Waiting for more tutorials (and for 100.000 subscribers event, next year as far. =) )
As someone who just recently started to learn how to draw later in their life, this video helped me a ton to understand the basics! Your art style is super cute and your humor makes your videos even easier to follow. Excited to see you hopefully release more videos in the future. :)
So happy to hear that! It's never late to start drawing - as a hobby or carrier. I've never even thought about art and drawing 6 years ago. Have fun and happy drawing!
I've been drawing for years and I've never understood face proportions well. I've seen so many videos but this was the first one that truly explained everything so nicely and I just made the best portrait I've ever done thanks to this tutorial. Thank you so much!!!!
You're the artist I've been looking for. You have a style I love, and you explain in a way my brain can grasp and you show your "bad" artwork, not being ashamed that you've had to practice. This is SO refreshing. 10/10 youtuber, subscribed, liked and loved
The best friend I wish I had. Fun fact I started drawing again because of how entertaining your videos are. Pure, honest and 100% relatable! Top content!
I've seen a lot of these vídeos and i can say this is a really good middle point within the more tecnical way and a more simplified version, it is easier to understand, and u still gave information to those who want to deeper explore it, for me it was a nice break of terms and tiring stuff and a good reminder of the more important things, thanks a lot ❤
I really felt that 20% luck part. So many times I've done a piece of work that didn't go how I pictured it, but after revisiting it later I realize it turned out better than what I had been going for. Luck is an underrated stat for the artist class.
As someone who has never drawn a face that looked like a face you'd want to talk to, I am happy with the absolute simplicity of this video. Also I like that you've reminded all of us that we have to start somewhere. Plus the humour. Overall it was a great video and now I'm a subscriber. Yay..
this got me totally hooked. with good blend of humour and edits. Maybe for me its starting from looking at the masters and den just cozying in on such tutorials. makes you feel better
I have been drawing faces since I was able to pick up a pencil, but was not allowed to attend art class. This is the best tutorial I have ever witnessed! You are also hilarious! Thank you!
I've been an artist for 5 years now and just now found this video and already, after 50 minutes of practicing, I can tell a huge difference. Definitely started out with the terrifying faces but it's already looking so much better. Thank you!
This was so informative and so extremely helpful! I was laughing the whole time at your contagiously bubbly personality. You have greatly encouraged me! Thank you very much! The face shape diagrams are so useful!!
These videos are some of the most entertaining and valuable that I have found on UA-cam for drawing. It must take so much effort to make them, but thank you so much. They are incredibly helpful.
This is wonderful. Thank you for simplifying things and making learning fun and encouraging. Would you consider making a tutorial on how you color skin? It’s difficult to make it look lively without over rendering but you do it beautifully. Thanks again!
this is the best explination of how to draw faces I've ever found, you explain things is a way that is easy to grasp and the bits of humor make this just as entertaining as it is educational. I love this!
Kudos! Pretty straightforward explanation that helps understanding your method (and consequently part of the method you learned from). Much nicer than those that trying to sound too academic and or with fancy explanations.
This video is GOLD! I loved the educational content and I really loved your humor and editing style! I am drawing and laughing out loud and more hopeful about my artwork improving...THANK YOU!
Wow. WOW. Something that is frustrating about learning to draw is when you try to learn from somebody who knows how to draw, but they don't know how to teach/explain. I really appreciate the additional steps you show that do not appear in the end design (the orange overlays) which demonstrate something that you understand that we will also need to understand and eventually visualize on our own.

I cant believe it. It’s been YEARS since I’ve drawn and boom it’s like you helped learn to ride a bike again. Thank you for sharing a referencing the book. Also you’re hilarious
I just watching this video for around 3 minutes and i do not only love the informations but also your accent and your style of making videos keep on going !!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY FIRST DRAWING. I ACTUALLY DREW THE NICEST NOSE, I NEVER DREW SUCH A NICE NOSE AND THE DRAWING IN GENERAL LOOKS ABSOLUTELY COOL, THANK YOU! When I'm good enough I'll put it out on instagram and tag you!!!! You'll see how good it turns out due to your video
Wow thank you!!! I haven’t drawn in SO long , art block due to covid and depression, so I will be trying this as an exercise to get back into things as our styles are similar. Thanks so much.
This video was amazing. At first, I already knew how to draw faces, and I really clicked on this video because I liked how you draw your nose. Nut this video is so education with many tips that’ll definitely use and incorporate into my own art. I can’t believe that I now just found your channel. Can you do a video on how to draw people looking up and down, with the eyes? It’s something that I’ve been struggling with for a while now. Thank you so much, hope you have a wonderful day!
I picked up drawing after years of not doing it so I have to learn stuff all over again (wasnt pretty good at it before tho) and after watching many tutorials that seemed difficult for me to follow, I just stumbled across this video and its amazing. Your video really helped me with faces and their anatomy! Its simple, gives tips no one does and simplify so many stuff! Thank you so much for this video!
I just found you. This is the first video of yours I have watched. When this level of talent matches this level of self-deprecating humour I MUST subscribe. There's so little that's genuinely funny in the world right now so THANK YOU!

absolutely loved the realistic comedy, and just the wholesomeness in your vids are truly amazing. Honestly. you didn't even need to ask me to subscribe to your channel, subscribed the first time I watched one of your videos!! Your an amazing artist, and the part at the end, when I was looking at your old sketches I loved them!! I started out with cartoon Disney/Peanuts type sketches then moved onto realism but I realize now I really did have fun doing those even if it was hard in the beginning since I had no knowledge of anatomy and correct proportion placement whatsoever. But I'm thinking about getting back into that again, but I"m also still trying to find my own style. I'm getting there. I've found i like traditional medium mixed with digital modern art, but I haven't really found a character style. I like children's art style, but I really like your style and I've been looking at and following a few digital artists on my digital art Instagram but I'm not sure what the style is called, nor how to identify certain features from that style and how they relate to realism portraitures, and character drawings. Anyways, amazing vids and love your artwork!!!
I don't recall the last time I subscribed to a channel after watching just one video from it. But her artstyle is almost exactly the style I've been trying to learn, plus she's so freaking funny and makes sure to point out that you don't really need to obey the rules all that much. Nor the crazy articles that keep coming up with new things that make drawing complicated. Most importantly, I love how much I learnt in such a short video
