I remember watching a VCD record of outstanding young Chinese pianists when I was a piano learner at around 8 years old. Zhang Zuo was among Yuja Wang in that disc and they were both no more than 10 years old. I liked Zhang so much better. Now Yuja Wang has become such a big shot and world-famous celebrity. But i think Zhang is just as good as Yuja. You go girl!
Beautiful music is God’s gift to the world. It is so thrilling to see and hear a huge number of Asian artists who have caught this golden thread and are weaving yet another part of this glorious tapestry.
Wow. What immense talent, and she's pretty too. She plays with clarity and a good feel for this period piece. I was never ever this good at her age. What we older pianists are not able to do is give the fresh youthful vision which this young pianist displays.
WHAT WONDERFUL TALENT , and looking at her biography she has studied and practiced really hard , and with the best the world has to offer . it is amazing how many young people are returning to classical music , as popular music has become totally talentless . I cannot wait until she come to Atlanta , and I agree she is every bit as talented as Yuja Wang , another of my favorite artiest .
Although the person I would like to direct all music lovers' attention to is at present recovering from illness, and I hope she will be back on ou stages soon, her interpretations of piano music should be much more familiar to the world and much better understood and appreciated. |Her name is Miss Kate Liu.
Great performance. I'm impressed at how she plays the first movement faster than most other pianists. She captures a level of playfulness probably better than any other performance I've heard. At 5:14-5:17 she really tosses off those notes with a happy-go-lucky spirit. It's fine that she emotes as she doesn't but I'd rather not see these closeups. They're distracting. Also, the three ads (it's too bad there are any) are ill placed.
Ella está totalmente poseída por Beethoven. No veo exagerada su expresión facial, al contrario, está completamente sumergida en la música del genio de Bonn. Excelente casa interpretación.
Always makes me wonder how pianists this good, who've put this much work in, can blithely ignore what a composer of the stature of Beethoven took care to write down for them.
@@lexdunn4160 If any consolation, no superior feelings here. It's possible (important, I would argue) to respect the intent of the markings and still make it interesting, that's all. For such an excellent pianist, where that possibility is most possible, seems like missed opportunity. I respect your disagreement.

Outstanding performance!!!!
Just saw her last night at Royce Hall in Los Angeles - spectacular. Flawless technique with a giant soul and the touch of an angel.

What a second movement opening! Once in a lifetime! What a second movement! Once in an eternity!
amazing, can't wait to see her in concert !
Beautiful, vigorous, sensitive playing as the music requires. Bravo! I'd like to see more!

Her mimic translate very directly the emotions of the piece - and the composers.

Beautiful...
10:40 - The opening of the third movement, as interpreted by Zhang Zuo:
Sweeter than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb - The Bibile
Of all the imprressive young Asian pianists, Zhang Zuo has the most expressive face while she is playing beautifully. Wonderful to watch. Thanks.
when i hear what you do i cry but when i see you i smile
This is lovely
Wonderful!
소리 넘 좋다👍👍👍다이나믹하고 좋은연주😍

she used to be Yujia Wang's classmate in Beijing
Very creative
If I was there I would have coughed between the 1st and 2nd Movement, too, just to be a part of that moment.

Always makes me wonder why some sanctimonious boor on youtube has the nerve to criticize virtuosity. Feel superior now? What a cretin.

Really talented! Is it normal to use so much expression and is it necessary?

Crazy!
i am confused
Unwatchable with all the "look at me" faces. Brendel, Barenboim, Perahia, all make no faces yet their music is hundred times more expressive.
Nicely shaped lines, however the tempo is not well controlled.
Very nice technique and performance. Some small mistakes sadly and she forgot the repeats - maybe there was a time restriction.
Ranc0r Ronin almost every competitions demand non-repeat performance.
ah, ok, thought so. Thanks for clearing that up. ;)
Ranc0r Ronin she's excellent.
awful facial expression!
Facial expressions are the most superfluous criticism.
