Brian Flaherty of TenPoint Crossbows is at the Yamaha Whitetail Diaries Deer Camp to field-test some new products and the new TenPoint Havoc RS440 XERO Crossbow.
Ten Point and Garmin have teamed up to deliver the world’s fastest crossbow-per-inch of length and the most accurate long-range hunting crossbow ever. The TenPoint Havoc RS440 Xero featuring Garmin’s Xero X1i Range Finding Crossbow Scope and Brian has carved out a few days to hunt with it here in South Texas. Brian is also debuting the TenPoint HALO bowpack at first of its kind in the hunting industry.
Brian’s hunt is an exciting one that you won’t want to miss! From being overrun by sheep to having bucks bed down next to his deer blind, Brian experiences some incredible encounters including a hunt that concludes with everyone scratching their heads.

Where vitals do you think were hit on that buck?
Shot way low no vitals were hit,
drill it in the shoulder it would’ve dropped on the spot.

Nope! It was a terrible shot, especially with the high spec & tech equipment used.
Just shows it doesn't matter if you have the best gear, it's still down to the human!
@@columbotee2652 the last thing you ever want to do is hit a deer in the shoulder with archery equipment of any kind. Now a firearm is different, but many big bucks have walked away with a shot to the shoulder from a firearm as well!!

Aw man! That bites! It's happened to just about everyone. Very courageous to share the ones that got away as well. Brings in the realism to the hunt.
No matter how good you equipment is, you still got to make the shot. Not as easy as everyone thinks.

What’s your opinion on the bow? I’m considering the set up, and there are pretty good deals out there. I’ve seen some reviews with durability and breakage issues. I’d love to know before I spend the dough. Thanks.
The Havoc has performed great for us. When it comes to choosing the best TenPoint model we suggest looking at several models to see which one feels best to you in the performance range (Speed) you're wanting.
In some cases folks might prefer the Viper and in some cases the Havoc or Nitro. Regardless all three of them are great crossbows!
That animal was hit PERFECT ! No Way that should have gone more than 60 yds MAX. I don't trust mechanical heads. If it fails you just shot your trophy buck with a Field tip... It's hard enough as it is to bring a good size buck down anyway, but if that mechanical fails, Yer Otta' Luck Partner...............
No, it wasn’t hit perfect. If it was hit perfect it would have been recovered. It was hit low, very low. It didn’t hit any vitals. There’s plenty of deer that have been recovered with multiple prior slugs and broadheads in them. Deer are remarkable animals with extremely well healing capabilities.
I'm pretty sure a range finding optic is illegal in Texas
That much power in a crossbow get a Broadhead that brake bone and shoot them straight up the front leg in the heart
