Dear sir, For dead load you calculated, 25*1*0.175 = 4.375 kN/m2 I think the unit should be kN/m 25 kN/m3 x 1m x 0.175 m = kNm2/m3 = kN/m Please verify
So confused...load unit is KN/m^2 and then using this unit, moment will come in KN only not KN-m!!!????.... Edit: if you are confused about it than this is the answer: Live load is in KN/m^2...and we have to multiply it with b(in case of slab analysis b is always 1m ) and hence the unit will be in KN/m...similarly for floor finish also multiply by b....
If you have no problem, upload your notes copy as PDF, then we will like it very much, we will get beautiful notes with video clips. Thanks #Abhijeet sir
2 way slab with continuity condition ke liye aap table 26 IS 456 ka dekh lo moment co efficients calculate karne ke liye, I have video of 2 way slab where torsion reinforcement is not provided where we use table 27, but i dint solved any example by taking table 26
Hi sir When we design a RCC slab to determine the thickness of slab why we dont determine the thickness of it directly? I mean why we find an initial thickness for it by estimation at first and then we select a suitable thickness. Is there any rule to follow in estimation step?
Sir, Your way of explaining is away some. For 3m clear shorter span of any longer span one way slab having same load condition, does the design will be same as we considered 1000mm length of strip for design for longer span length? The deflection check ratio for thickness assumption of 20 for simply supported skab at initial stage gives very high thickness from practical point of view as slab of 3m ckear shorter span having 150mm effective depth will be uneconomical from concrete point of costing..... I think. Please guide 🙏
Sir effective cover d' ko sirf 25 he maan skte h or kuch nhi maan skte h or sir total depth of slab D k formule me to ( effective depth + nominal cover+ dia of bar/2) hota h na fir apne sirf effective cover ko he assumed krke effective depth ke sath add kyu kiya ?? Still confused sir 😅

Sir, the way you explain different topics in your videos is just great in one word.
So nice of you, Thank you, keep supporting by sharing
Sir,the lecture was very nice,in last step for calculating Tbd ,we have to take 60% increase for deformed bars .so it will be 1.6x1.2 for M20
i need a lecturer like you...thank you sir

Great video sir
Sir plz make videos on reinforcement detailing.it will be very usefull for us
Sure will do it
Grateful if you could draw/sketch the reinforcement detailing. Thanks
Yes will do it
No problem see here
But in exams will we hv to do reinforcement detailing design compulsory to get marks??

In which condition we use modification factor
If AST min (dist steel) > AST ( main steel)
what does that explains? Does that mean reinforcement is not required?
same question
please explain from where you've taken the formula to find Ast
sir 1 question plz.. To find effective depth , d=span/(basic value *modification factor)is this correct???
Ya its valid
sir why you have not used modification factor?
Sir the lecture is very nice but I have a doubt that does not in one way slab required short term and long term deflection check ?
need to rectify ..... for Ld calculation,4 tou bd =1.2 for plain bars ,for hysd these values shall be increased by 60%
bhai hum development length mei m1 formula alag se kyu kia?.
Which book you use for this problem
Limit state design of reinforced concrete by B.C. Punmia
Sir why you do not use modification factors
Design a cantilever retaining wall
How do you provide bars of 8mm and in another videos 16mm and 6 mmm by your own can you please explain
33:00 here you have said that Ast required is 290 but shouldn't it be Ast min i.e. 210 mm^2?
Sir please make video on flat slab.
Can you pls explain the way you choose tau c value
It will be taken from table 19 is456 2000.. page 73.
sir, your teaching is very nice. But before your are going to do problems , explain theory part..PLEASE SIR!!!
Thank you so much, ok i will try to include some theory about slabs
Yeah
Kya ham yaha pe l/d ka ratio 20 se kam lekar bhi solve kar sakte the kya agar d rqd ka value agar d provided se jaida ho jata to
For one way slab 180mm to 200mm depth should be kept for satisfying all criterias
Sir i understood more here than in my class. Sir, in step 4 unit of Load is wrong .
Sir modification factor is not taken why sir
If you have no problem, upload your notes copy as PDF, then we will like it very much, we will get beautiful notes with video clips. Thanks #Abhijeet sir
I am planning to come up with mobile app where i can provide these notes at very minimal rates, soon will come up with that

I need a barbending drawing for this one way slab design
For effective cover you may please refer Table-16A of IS456-2000 for clear cover(2hour fire rating) + half the dia of tension bar. 🙏
Dear Sir, could you please tell me how to find/get the live load of any slab?
Concrete k density 24 n/mm2 hota hai kya sir
For RCC we take it as 25 KN/m3
Sir Is it reinforcement drawing compulsory we hv to do...to get marks in RCC Polytechnic DTE exams ?
How to calculate V in last step ??
sir Ast Or Ast min mai compare keya to Ast.. =291 aya maximum but aapn jo provide 8mm diameter lagake.. ast nikali hai o kis liye hai..
Sir i can't understand why you take less spacing
239.3 is answer but why you take 200
Plz answer
Hi sir
When we design a RCC slab to determine the thickness of slab why we dont determine the thickness of it directly? I mean why we find an initial thickness for it by estimation at first and then we select a suitable thickness.
Is there any rule to follow in estimation step?
Hello, initially we take it from L/d ratio as a guidance and than check for the d with respect to moment whether it is sufficient or no
How the unit of load became N/mm^2?
On slab load will be in per m2 or mm2
Sir request to make a video on design of strap footing (eccentric and concentric footings connected by strap beam) hope you consider my request
Hello Najam Uddin, i will definitely consider your request and surely i will come up with that soon, i hope its not urgent
Sir 1 ton kitna cft sand hota hai
Sir in step 5 , the formula you use for Ast is given on which page number of the code ?
Sir, if they don't mension it's a SSB Or Cantilever Or continues what value we put for eff. Depth step
How to assume floor finish 17.5mm
Sir, How to place Ld=750mm for a d=150mm Simply Supported slab?
Slab rests on beam so the development length of slab will go in beam, usually beam have depth more than 230 mm
Hi
IN standard is available online
Sir can u say which & all repeated questions we get in DTE RCC polytechnic board exams
Can u give me the link of development length.
Why have u not found moment by IS provisions
1. You please mention that the one-way slab should be designed as a neam.
2. Please elaborate the formula for M1 & Ast1.
sir what if Ly/Lx = 2
Than it should be designed as 2 way slab
Hlo sir
The floor finish value 1.5 or 1.75 kn/m^2
Pls tell which value we can assume. Thank you sir
You can assume appropriately, usually in academic numericals they take from 0.5 to 1.75 KN/m2
Kya hum l by d ratio ko 20 se jada le skte hain
Thankyou sir
How the Ast is 335 in finding xu??
Sir in the last step of development length calculation bond stress value should be increase by 60% because of Fe 415
Yes dear

sir load Kn/m2 nhi KN/m hoga
SIR, VERY GOOD VIDEO. PLZ SHOW THE SKETCH AT THE END OF VIDEO.
ya, from next design video i will come up with sketch
Sir development length video for both one way and two way slab
Sir there many books assume the l/d ratio as 30 to 35 .... Is it right... Plz tell me sir... 🙏🙏... I am confused about this
That is in case of two way slab
Helpful
Thank you, stay tuned for more designs
Sir I have a small doubt why are u taking 8mm bar why not 12 mm can u explain me if u r free
