      That’s true, but I think the key is focusing on what you *can* do, even with smaller amounts. My financial advisor helped me set up a plan even when I was earning very little. It’s not just about huge investments; it’s about making smart, incremental moves.

    • @leongrant7439

      That sounds like what I need. I’ve been putting off getting help because I figured advisors only focus on bigger clients. Does your advisor actually work with people who don’t have huge portfolios?"

      @ReubenAxelson День тому

      Absolutely. I work with Joseph Nick Cahill and he’s been doing this for over 20 years. One thing I appreciate is that he doesn’t treat you differently just because you’re not a millionaire. He really understands how to manage smaller portfolios, and he focuses on building wealth steadily, even if you're starting small.

      The minimum should $100\mo. What person would care to sign up for anything less than that. It's a horrible travesty. And I know that because I was a caseworker for many years. These low benefit recipients cannot get enough groceries without going to food banks or charities or churches to even have any opportunity to eat two meals a day for a month. Maybe a new Administration will be more sympathetic to the plight of low and fixed income people suffering food insecurity.

    As an ambitious trader waiting for the next bull run, I would much prefer learn from the mistakes made by other traders than make my own investments in the market. How do you feel about copy trading as well? Do people really make a living? I'm just looking for some assurance. A strong portfolio with a minimum value of $850k is what I aspire to. Please provide dependable input.

For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $130k in passive diversified safe-haven assets, Up 358k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

    Texas still will not give me food stamps because I am 65 years old on SSDI and do not have any dependent minor children. I am well below the federal poverty line. The lady on the phone said I don't qualify because of what I said above.

    I know a family of three who get $207 a month loaded to their EBT card. This month their rent went up by $50 just like every year. They are paying $1152 for rent every month. They turned in their new lease so that it could be accounted for with their food assistance. They got a notification in the mail stating that there was a statewide increase and an increase due to their rent increasing. Any guesses what the new amount is?? It is now $219 for three people a month. That’s a whopping $12 increase on a $50 increase in rent with the statewide increase. How are three people, which are all adults (one is 25 with autism and has specific dietary needs), supposed to live on $219 in food benefits?? The same family is expected to pay almost $200 a month for their electric bill. I know they were on a payment plan that was based on their income, but the electric company told them the amount they were paying was more than what their actual bill was. So, they recommended that they come off of that plan so they’re not paying more than they need to. Now, they’re paying almost double what they were paying before. I wish I knew how to help them.

    My wife and I are both on SSDI and our State says we make to much to get food stamps Social Security needs to come out of the stoneage and up with the times. Anyone under the Social Security blanket deserves $3000 a month to maybe enjoy their lives. Billions given away to other countries our Government needs to start sending low income, fixed-income, Anyone under Social Security blanket $2000 a month for 3-5 years to get their heads above water. There is Billions already approved sitting there lets go Congress, Senate get it done oe executive order and get it done for the American People 19% of the American People live this way in poverty or darn close

    Supplement with food banks or go to Church’s for food. Salvation Army is another place everyone can go to. That’s a great suggestion. Thanks for all that you do.

    Hi Matt and family hope you’re doing well it doesn’t matter what they do cos we never receive any increase there has been many a months where I eat peanut butter and bread what about us that don’t have any children in the house we are just trying to keep a roof over our heads and pay bills I’m 70 years old now and it hurts to see these people who get food stamps putting Steaks in their baskets and everything else I don’t no about everybody else of age but we can’t even afford meat they shouldn’t be getting 4and 500 dollars a month in food stamps I can’t just go get what I would like cos I don’t have a car anymore I just couldn’t afford it anymore it’s a pain just to walk into a grocery store and get very few things so I can’t even go to the food banks for that reason it’s hell to get older and still feel like you’re young again please help us Congress and get those people out of Congress that aren’t helping us we are hurting and hungry

    An increase in SNAP benefits would help a lot of people. A better solution for utilities would be helpful as well. If a person is 60 or older and receives SS income they should not have to worry about being food and housing insecure. No income other than earned income in excess of $50,000 should effect benefits. No more snatching away benefits for any help given or income received. Also no reduction of benefits when these people adopt or marry or live with family members to combine incomes to improve their chances of food and housing security. These practical solutions would lift millions out of abject poverty and exponentially reduce stress which would significantly improve health outcomes. Just a thought.
