Hey Roger! I just wanted to drop by and say how much I love your fishing videos. They are always packed with energy and incredibly informative. What sets you apart is your simple yet practical teaching style. It's refreshing to see someone break down complex techniques into easy-to-understand steps.
I have personally learned so much from you, especially when it comes to Beach Worming. Thanks to your guidance, I've been able to catch a wide variety of species using worms as bait.
For anyone interested in fishing, I highly recommend checking out Roger's Beachworming Master Class. It's a game-changer! You'll learn how to catch beach worms, a skill that even many experienced anglers lack.
Keep up the fantastic work, Roger!

You can buy pre-made 1, 2 and 3 hook rigs that clip the baits down to gain further distance. We use these all the time in the uk 🇬🇧 especially for delicate worm baits like your beach worms, our ragworms. Normally around £3 but you’d have to factor in postage to Oz.

Save you feet and fuel. Go to google maps, hit satellite, and follow your chosen coast. Learn to watch the waves break. They do that for a reason. If you detect an off shore rock where the waves keep breaking, aim for it. You may lose a few hooks in the kelp, but such places hold fish. Using circle hooks in those places will reduce your hook losses, and also reduce the amount of fish that manage to self-release.

Get a beach casting rod. You are using a boat rod. I use a 12ft and 15ft. Don't be afraid to put plenty of bend in the rod when you cast, and use the maximum weight that your rod is rated for, to get maximum distance. Practice on your local cricket field to perfect your cast, when they are not playing cricket there, and omit the hook.

People catching those kahawai ( salmon to you ) in NZ break their reels pulling them in the way that you do, after hooking decent size ones. Get them to the edge of the surf, hold the spool and keep walking backwards, allowing the waves to float them in.
If you like catching parore/black snapper ( luderick ), then come over and get laughed at. The more common name for them is sh*t fish, because most people here don't know how to process them, so they taste like sh*t.
I was over there last year. Saw some of those tiny bream being filleted. You people must be pretty hungry to bother with all that effort for such a small amount of food. Glad that I don't live in Oz.

When ever I go beach fishing I get stingray, Small sharks etc what a waste of time better for me to buy fish from fish shop. Or ever better if I buy fish and chips.

WA viewer here, yes, Salmon and Herring look similar, alot of people do get confused, some people call juvinile Salmon, Salmon Trout, when they are the same size as herring they look pretty identical, the top of the herring is more blue and the top of Salmon more yellow, i've fished since i could walk so i don't get confused but i can see how people would. Also i feel like the Salmon must be bigger once they migrate to WA for breeding as the big one you caught i'd consider pretty standard.
