I had a feeling you'd love this one once you got round to playing it! The cards really do dictate the fortunes of players, we played a game the other night and I drew THREE consecutive " explorer gets lost and falls in the swamp" absolutely ruined my entire game plan :D My dad swears he didn't tamper the deck... btw, the lava pieces don't just have to be placed on the red board spaces, we've played before where the lava has effectively made an impassable wall on that side so you're forced to go round the other way or test your luck in the swamp. That was BRUTAL. Half way through writing a review for this and with the UK being on total lockdown now...well I'm gonna have plenty of time to film for the next three weeks at the very least. Also recently acquired another Waddingtons game that in terms of production value I know you're going to love, need to play it yet but setting this new one up...wow. Hope all is well my friend
Great Review! Glad you were able to get a complete copy! Such a solid game! The only thing to mention though is if the pteranodon carries you and you have a coin then you must leave the coin there so it’s a way to screw peeps over and prevents him from being a completely insane card haha
Had this game as a youngster and loved it one of my favs....sadly it's long gone :( Just wish someone would do an updated version of this game...a true classic
yeah Julian-Courtland Smith designed them. you're diggin up (pun intended) some interesting old school 3D games. You and Norm should play his full Fireball Island with all of the expansions if you ever get together again for a game night.
I still have this game and escape from Atlantis, some great memories there
CLASSIC. THE WAY IT IS EXPLAIN . i LOVE THIS GAME GROWING UP
I had this game as a kid, such good memories. Can't remember what happened to it, but I remember playing with the dinosaurs in the garden.
Cool game dinos are real and still with man so there are lost areas where they are hiding

This sounds like a cool game!
love the review. i had this as a kid, the only issue with it was the temple, it gets tatty fast. But the game is great.
Used to play with my grandad. So difficult to get hold of one at the moment
Yeah, sadly the price of this game is easy too high.
There might have been different versions of this game or maybe you got a dud copy? Every version I've seen has guns and painted dinosaur lips.

Oh man. I'd love that.
