i ones met jarno trulli, and i asked him why jarno? is not usual in italy having a name like his
he replied "my dad followed and still follows motor racing,he likes motogp. once therre was a great rider, wich was a true driver. he really likewd him,and when he passed away he was sad. one year later i was born, and he wanted to keep his name on,and iom proud i have his name"

Best rider I ever seen, took on the big boys on 750's at Mallory park and beat them by a very way on his 350 Yamaha. Great memories thank you Jarno &Soli

Jarno Saarinen was to Finland what Johnny Cecotto was to Venezuela: they both put their respective countries in the vicinity of motorcycle races, sports that before them did not interest. Do you imagine that they had run in the same category? A pity Saarinen had died so young when he could have won many world championships! Greetings from Venezuela

    Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia´s quotation:
"Jarno Saarinen's legacy continues to live on. There is still an active Saarinen fan club in Italy. The birth name Jarno became very popular in Italy of many newborn boys in the '70s. One of them is Jarno Trulli, the former Formula-1 driver. Saarinen remains the only Finn to have won a motorcycle road racing world championship, winning 15 Grand Prix during his career. In 2009, the F.I.M. inducted Saarinen into the MotoGP Hall of Fame"

It has been told that when Jarno was racing for the first time in Nurburging it was heavy raining at exercise. At that time he was not factory driver.Been driving there from Finland in his own car with the bike in the bus.Did not have rain equipment.Just raincoat and rubber boots.Overtaking every big drivers at that time.Phil Read ,Agostini ....Raincoat just fluttering.Told by Tepi Länsivuori.
