Question. When will we subtract the angles? For example in FORCE T, won't we subtract the angle first for 270 degrees because it is in the third quadrant? Like, -200 cos (270-40=230)= 128.56
However, subtraction of angles can also be considered if you want to use the Sine function in solving the X component. Whereby, negative 200 cosine 40 is the same as negative 200 sine 50. (50 was solved by subtracting 40 from 90). Same concept with the Y component, instead of using sine, you can also use cosine. 🙂
Thanku sir I'm from India u re amazing....
You are welcome 😊

You don't need to subtract angles. The angle that you will be using will be the angle shown in the problem.
However, subtraction of angles can also be considered if you want to use the Sine function in solving the X component. Whereby, negative 200 cosine 40 is the same as negative 200 sine 50. Thanks a lot sir....
Welcome 🙂
2nd year college at CAPSU as AGRICULTURAL AND BIOSYSTEMS ENGINEERING 🥳
Tysm
You didn't subtract the value of angle
30. 30 is in fourth quartile you have to subtract it from 360.
could do without the music
This really helps!!!!
