I was born in 1985. I grew up eating hostess snack cakes since I was a little girl. I love the hostess chocolate cupcakes, Ding Dongs and the hostess fruit pies. I like the hostess apple and Cherry fruit pies, but I also love the hostess snack cake commercials from the 1980's. Thank you. I love the 80's commercials. I am also a huge 80's fan.

Working at Burger King, i usually worked 1st shift. In this day, so many employees called off on 2nd shift that i volunteered to work an extra shift. At about 7:00p.m two 12 year old girls walked in looking very scared! It seemed that they had just gotten out of our local movie theater, when this man started following them! We hustled them into the back office and we called the cops! They showed up and held this guy. Doing a background check, they find out that he was a convicted registered sex offender! They hauled him away.

When Kentucky Fried Chicken was changed to KFC yes the chicken taste was not the same.
Kentucky Fried Chicken was the best.

The Colonel's original seasoning blend is still made & sold by the company that made it for Kentucky Fried Chicken, when Colonel Sanders still owned it, and insisted on quality food.
That company is Marion Kay Spices, and you can buy from them online. I use their Chicken Seasoning Plus, which has superfine salt already in it. I gave up on KFC years ago, because I can make it better, cheaper, and healthier at home.

When I was a kid, Kentucky Fried Chicken was better, because it was freshly made to order. You'd have to wait 10 minutes for them to cook it. The pressure-fryers made it possible to cook it that fast.
When the big conglomerate that bought the company from the Colonel cheaped out by using a mix for gravy, and replacing the 11 herbs & spices with 3 (salt, pepper, MSG), the Colonel was so disgusted that he moved to Canada. Because the Canadian owner (Scott's Chicken Villas) still did things HIS way, and listened to him.

Wrong mostly are from the 80s that carried over into the 90s mostly early 90s after 92 or 93 than the ads were 90s which went into the early 2000s... that's the way it goes my friend.

In the mid 80's, in the mid west, there was some nut going around leaving pipe bombs everywhere. Working at Burger King, on a slow day, my manager sent me to clean the mens room. Walking into the toilet stall, find a plain brown paper bag, with something inside! Telling my manager, he goes in to look whats in the bag. I stop him and tell him to call the Police! They came and evacuated the restaurant and the whole block! What was in the bag? It was empty.

He was in the parking lot of the local Country Kitchen and accidentally blew his car up. A friend of mines Dad worked at a photo camera store across the lot and recorded the aftermath with some new in the store, a "camcorder"

You can make your own, and they'll taste better than those Hostess ones ever did.
Make the pastry shells, and bake them empty. When they've baked and completely cooled, use a piping bag to fill them with chilled pudding.

Fast food back then was more like home-cooked food. Portions were also much bigger, compared to today. A large Pizza Hut pizza was the size of a extra large New York style pizza in the 80s.

It's cool what a big name actor she is now, started off doing short commercials. Take the work you can get until you make it.
And yeah McDonalds really does cost that much now. I remember working at Mcdonalds and the meals were around $5. Then even some time back it cost that much just for the sandwich. Now already I think a big mac by itself is like $7. And they don't taste as good either. I see people complain about the price of 5 guys, but it's not that much more for more food, made fresh.
