Air Force trains in India - Tarang Shakti and Pacific Skies 2024

- On August 13, 2024, the "Pacific Skies 2024" exercise, which lasted several weeks, was completed. The last stage of "Pacific Skies 2024" was the sub-exercise "Tarang Shakti 2024" in Sulur, India. The series of exercises started with "Arctic Skies 2024" in Alaska ( • Luftwaffe trainiert in... ) and then moved westwards via Japan, Hawaii and Australia to India. The Bundeswehr participated with Tornados, Eurofighters, H145M LUH SOF and A400M helicopters, of which the Eurofighters and the A400M were there until the end. The aim of the exercise was to demonstrate presence in the Indo-Pacific and to gain experience in interoperability with friendly armed forces - in particular with the air forces of Spain and France, but also with the USA, Australia, Japan and India. In India, for the first time, Indian-built Su-30 fighter aircraft were refueled in the air by Western A330 MRTT MMU tanker aircraft.
The video begins with the A400M flight from Bangalore (India) to Sulur Air Force Base (India). In Sulur, group photos are taken and the ceremony to mark the end of the "Tarang Shakti" sub-exercise is prepared. On the sidelines of this, the Inspector of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, meets the German press (complete press meeting in German: • GenLt Ingo Gerhartz zu... ). We also go to the hangar of the European exercise participants. We then accompany a Eurofighter pilot as he prepares his plane for the air show. Helicopter pilots and an Indian Tejas pilot show off their skills. Then the Eurofighter also takes off and demonstrates its flying skills. After the Eurofighter lands, there is a press conference, of which only a short excerpt could be filmed for organizational reasons. The video ends with the bus ride from Sulur air force base to the civil airport in Coimbatore.

Exact same time for Rafale. 12 seconds.
While Tejas lift off time is approx 16 to 18 seconds. Both former are twin engine with after burner. Latter is single.
What's more imp I'm my opinion is, the max time between landing and next mission lift off. IAF target for Tejas is 14 minutes max.

A few days ago I thought a IAF C17 was approaching my house as it circled around HAL Airport, Bangalore but I was surprised to see a A400M instead. It made lots of circles into the dark. I was wondering why we had this unique visitor but now I know.

Airbus has been trying to garner interest from India for the A400M so maybe it was demo-ing it to Govt. & Air Force officials with the sorties?

Description has some errors:-
1.) Indian Su-30 MKI have been doing air-air refueling for two decades now. Was not the first time. Maybe you meant it was the first time you saw it happen?
2.) Those Su-30 MKI are Indian-built. And have significant Indian, Israeli and French avionics and weaponry.
3.) At 12:33 onwards that was an Indian-designed and built HAL Tejas Mk1 fighter jet. Not a Mirage 2000.
Thanks! It was the first air-refueling of a Su-30 by a western plane A330 - interoperability. The other things we will correct soon.

Just because there’s F-22, Doesn’t mean it’s not afraid of J-20’s. Brahmos NG will be tested next years and MK1A will take care of the features we missed on this. The platform is set. Americans have F series, Chinese have J series, we have LCA series.

@@sheshankutty8552India signed a deal with Sukhoi for 50 Russian-produced Su-30MKIs, and in 2000, India and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the licensed production of 140 Su-30MKIs in India.
🍁 The deal included a full technology transfer, and HAL was designated to manufacture various components of the aircraft, including engines, mainframes, and other parts.
By 2020, India had completed production of all 272 Su-30MKIs licensed under previous contracts.
In 2024, India is considering upgrading its Su-30MKI fleet with new systems, including an indigenous radar system, electronic warfare system, and infrared search and track systems. The Air Force also plans to export some of its Su-30MKI fighter jets.

The Aspa Patrol is already 20 years old and is the only one in the world with five helicopters. It is based in Granada, Spain.
I love how the pilot of that eurofighter was just chilling with the ground staff. You never see that kind of openness and camaraderie between the enlisted men and the officers in IAF.
Maybe it's because of the professionalism the IAF staff has to maintain due to being on constant state of readiness on being surrounded by hostile neighbouring countries.
@@warnpassion Maybe, bro. But I do feel that our officers tend to treat their NCO's similarly to how before independence the British officers used to treat Indian soldiers, who were mostly NCOs. I dont really know much about the Airforce but this happens a lot in the Army.
@@anandthepilot that is true, more so in the army than the other branches due to obvious reasons, education gap is the reason maybe, the education gap between your nco and officer in the western militaries is much less compared to ours, ofc theres still respect between them but officers are seen as a figure of authority
