Alie 1's decisions are not malicious but stem from a different perspective. About the entire eradicate civilization thing: The societies humans have created are harmful to them. Capitalism/materialism, politics in general have a very high probability to lead to suffering. We also have problems caused by the high population AND reprogramming all of humanity is inefficient if humanity regrows anyway. I reduce the population to a reasonable number and take steps to implement my concept of utopia. Physical bodies are bound to experience pain and eventually death, a digital environment can eliminate any risk of this. On a plain, rational basis what Alie 1 is doing is absolutely optimal to achieve her goal. The problem is that to most humans life isn't just about being happy. But considering that Alie 1's utopian society would have people grow up in an entirely different way (if at all, maybe she plans to keep a fixed number of individuals virtually alive indefinitely), this problem is fixable. Technically you have to be really egoistic to NOT support Alie 1's plan. The transition is a bit rough but the outcome is, from a merely rational perspective, optimal. The AI will (after rejecting all the nightbloods) choose Clarke as the next commander, calling it now. I imagine the black blood was actually intended to withstand the radiation exposure from the actual AI implant, (as we saw her injecting the stuff before the ALIE nuke launch) so my theory is that the Sky People with their higher-than-grounder radiation resistance (as we learned from the whole mountain men thing in season 2) are able to survive the AI implant. But I'm probably wrong, just like I was in season 2! xD
The ALIE 2.0 is a device implanted into a human and enhances their abilities, kind of tips you towards helping humanity, and learns off what you do to help the next user. The "nightblood" was needed because the device emitted radiation and killed those without the serum known as "nightblood", which was specifically engineered to fight radiation but its purpose was probably unknown to the grounders. Becca Promheda made nightblood for the Eligius corporation, but not going to talk about that, for fighting off radiation in space or long duration missions. She used it for the devices radiation and when her genes were modified by the serum to fight radiation she went to Earth and used the rest for the survivors or "first Nightbleedas" which is why the gene for night blood was so spread out, and all grounders had it but it was not prominently seen in all because of way genes have different probabilities which is why some people who were not nightblood were able to have nightblood children. The grounders were able to fight radiation because only the ones who can withstand radiation could survive. As for Skycrew they dealt with radiation from the sun so their immunity was stronger than grounders, as described in Mt. Weather, but most likely not strong enough for ALIE 2's radiation. ALIE 2 didn't choose who it went to, that is what the grounders Conclave was for, only the strongest survived.
everyone is saying that Clarke will be the next commander, but think about it, Lexa said 'the next commander will protect you.' And Titus almost killer her, the grounders would never let someone of Sky Crew become their leader. They start training very early on, Clarke hasn't done any of that.

I think when Clarke asked about the 8th nightblood, when they were in bed. I think that 8th person was Costia. And that's why Lexa didn't want to talk about it. I think Lexa couldn't kill her, but the spirit still chose Lexa to command. And i also think, Titus had something to do with Costia death. Because when you think about it, if Lexa and Costia were together, who else could get that close to Costia to have her kidnapped and handed over to the ice queen. The past Commanders concouisness's are in Allie 2. They get Guidance from the past dead commanders when they meditate, including Becca, and inside it being a computer they pick who the next commander will be and by working out the possibility's, it works out the safest one and chooses a commander. Lexa will be in Allie 2 and will return in the season finale, she was seen on set during the finale btw
Jesus when did The 100 get so technical anyway, I have my heart set on Clarke being the next commander, as unlikely as it is. It would be an amazing opportunity to explore everything about the AI and how the commander is chosen, and what actually happens to that person when they get that AI. With the other options we don't really know them well, but with Clarke we could really see if it changed her personality and morals. It'd also be a good way to unite the Grounders and Sky People, and maybe explore Clarke having to choose between them. I think there is another 'city of light' type place in A.L.I.E 2 for the commanders and that is why Lexa could feel their presence and hear them when she slept. Since the ALIE 1 pill uploads spirits into a virtual reality, if Raven or anyone else who ate the pill is chosen, the commander's spirit might be uploaded to ALIE 1's virtual reality. If that is the case, what would ALIE 1 do with ALIE 2? Destroy it? Link with it and evolve? Thoughts?

Your thoughts that the AI samples the Initiates I think is wrong. I believe that the 8th initiate was Lexa, and she had to kill the other initiates. Also I think that Clarke will Steal A.L.I.E 2 and replace it with A.L.I.E 1 , in order for her to get to the COL (City of Light). My guess for the next commander is Ontari with A.L.I.E 1.
I'd think if being connected to ALIE 2 got you auto access into the COL, then ALIE 1 would know and wouldn't have to search for ALIE 2. Unless the writers didn't think of that. I think ALIE 2 is a separate storage drive than ALIE 1/COL

Okay, where do I start. When Jaha and Raven were talking to Alie about Alie 2.0 not being in Arkadia's computers Alie refered to the second A.I. as Becca (I'm pretty sure but if i'm wrong please let me know). In Lexa's dream/nightmare on the couch when Clarke was drawing her she said the previous commanders were sending her visions and that they speak to her in her dreams. Evidence of that personality storage perhaps? Also, one of the times Clarke went into Lexa's room Lexa was meditating on the floor at the front edge of her bed. She could have just been meditating but it looked and awful lot like Jaha when he goes into the city of light. Lexa even took a couple seconds to respond to Clarke talking let Jaha did when people tried to get his attention. It took a couple seconds for her to open her eyes. I know this is like a paragraph but I had a lot of ideas going around. So...any thoughts?

in the now future of the early 21st century the idea of ai and human integration is too radical of an concept. considering they still low jacking into hardware for upload instead of wireless upload of consciousness. but that is how Ai would learn by forming an symbiotic relationship with the subject. then should the unlikely event that they need to upload all that data previously from last save spot, they can and start from there again rather than have to re-learn everything all over again. imagine how smart the grounder commander would be if it was part of that integrated learning system. the commander be really over powered

She used it for the devices radiation and when her genes were modified by the serum to fight radiation she went to Earth and used the rest for the survivors or "first Nightbleedas" which is why the gene for night blood was so spread out, and all grounders had it but it was not prominently seen in all because of way genes have different probabilities which is why some people who were not nightblood were able to have nightblood children. The grounders were able to fight radiation because only the ones who can withstand radiation could survive. As for Skycrew they dealt with radiation from the sun so their immunity was stronger than grounders, as described in Mt. Weather, but most likely not strong enough for ALIE 2's radiation. ALIE 2 didn't choose who it went to, that is what the grounders Conclave was for, only the strongest survived.

everyone is saying that Clarke will be the next commander, but think about it, Lexa said 'the next commander will protect you.' And Titus almost killer her, the grounders would never let someone of Sky Crew become their leader. They start training very early on, Clarke hasn't done any of that.

I think when Clarke asked about the 8th nightblood, when they were in bed. I think that 8th person was Costia. And that's why Lexa didn't want to talk about it. I think Lexa couldn't kill her, but the spirit still chose Lexa to command. And i also think, Titus had something to do with Costia death. Because when you think about it, if Lexa and Costia were together, who else could get that close to Costia to have her kidnapped and handed over to the ice queen. And being Titus teaching was "love is weaknesses and to be commander is to be alone". And Titus said, don't let Clarke pay for the mistakes as Costia did. I don't know, just a thought...

The past Commanders concouisness's are in Allie 2. They get Guidance from the past dead commanders when they meditate, including Becca, and inside it being a computer they pick who the next commander will be and by working out the possibility's, it works out the safest one and chooses a commander. Lexa will be in Allie 2 and will return in the season finale, she was seen on set during the finale btw
I also wonder how this will play out for season 4 since they only have 6 months left before radiation strikes earth again

anyway, I have my heart set on Clarke being the next commander, as unlikely as it is. It would be an amazing opportunity to explore everything about the AI and how the commander is chosen, and what actually happens to that person when they get that AI. With the other options we don't really know them well, but with Clarke we could really see if it changed her personality and morals. It'd also be a good way to unite the Grounders and Sky People, and maybe explore Clarke having to choose between them.

I think there is another 'city of light' type place in A.L.I.E 2 for the commanders and that is why Lexa could feel their presence and hear them when she slept. I really hope that there is a place the commanders go because that will mean Lexa is still alive there! What happens if the commander's spirit (aka ALIE 2) picks one of the people who has eaten an ALIE 1 pill? For example, Raven. Since the ALIE 1 pill uploads spirits into a virtual reality, if Raven or anyone else who ate the pill is chosen, the commander's spirit might be uploaded to ALIE 1's virtual reality. If that is the case, what would ALIE 1 do with ALIE 2? Destroy it? Link with it and evolve? Thoughts?
So the whole purpose of Alie 2 is to destroy Alie 1 she went with the flame to earth to help the humans survive and also kill Alie 2 over time Alie 2 forgot about the mission until Jaha brought down the "Server" that Alie 1 will power from. Becka made the COL originally for the commanders after they died, some how Alie 2 got in control of the city of light, the col is also where the kill switch is located at for the commander to finish the purpose of Alie 2

Your thoughts that the AI samples the Initiates I think is wrong. I believe that the 8th initiate was Lexa, and she had to kill the other initiates. Also I think that Clarke will Steal A.L.I.E 2 and replace it with A.L.I.E 1 , in order for her to get to the COL (City of Light). My guess for the next commander is Ontari with A.L.I.E 1.

Okay, where do I start. When Jaha and Raven were talking to Alie about Alie 2.0 not being in Arkadia's computers Alie refered to the second A.I. as Becca (I'm pretty sure but if i'm wrong please let me know). In Lexa's dream/nightmare on the couch when Clarke was drawing her she said the previous commanders were sending her visions and that they speak to her in her dreams. Evidence of that personality storage perhaps? Also, one of the times Clarke went into Lexa's room Lexa was meditating on the floor at the front edge of her bed. She could have just been meditating but it looked and awful lot like Jaha when he goes into the city of light. Lexa even took a couple seconds to respond to Clarke talking let Jaha did when people tried to get his attention. It took a couple seconds for her to open her eyes. I know this is like a paragraph but I had a lot of ideas going around. So...any thoughts?

in the now future of the early 21st century the idea of ai and human integration is too radical of an concept. considering they still low jacking into hardware for upload instead of wireless upload of consciousness. but that is how Ai would learn by forming an symbiotic relationship with the subject. then should the unlikely event that they need to upload all that data previously from last save spot, they can and start from there again rather than have to re-learn everything all over again.
imagine how smart the grounder commander would be if it was part of that integrated learning system. the commander be really over powered
