This song is over 50 years. It’s about paying your dues. Bob started touring when he was in high school. His band would leave Michigan after school on Friday, drive “16 hours” to do a gig in Florida. Turn around and drive back to Michigan so he could be back in class Monday morning. Legend.
Those of us who had very long hair, like Bob did, in the late 60’s and early 70’s can totally relate to the snide comments like, “is that a woman or a man”. It got very old.
after recording this song live in 1975 Seger realized he would never record a better version so he hasn't recorded it since. Don't mistake this for Country it's rock.
Of the many reactions I've seen to this song, this is the only one so far where the second role of the saxophone has been mentioned. When I was younger, the sax intro and outro blew me away. It took me a while to realize how beautifully the vocals and sax go hand in hand from the middle part of the song onwards - gorgeous. It's not “just” Bob's vocals and storytelling that make this song so fantastic, besides the live performance, it's also the build up.
He is from my hometown of Ann Arbor. Met him once as a kid at Briarwood Mall. Turns out my dad and him were friends from high School. Saw each other and chatted during Christmas shopping. He had a beard and long hair at the time so it must of been late 70s or early 80s.
Bob Seger has a unique blend of storytelling and emotion-evoking vocals that make his music a "must-listen" experience. "Like A Rock", "Night Moves" and a whole bunch more to listen to...
Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. He wrote & recorded songs that dealt with love, women & blue-collar themes. "Turn The Page" is my favorite song by him. Love the sax solo. He has so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Old Time Rock & Roll", "Against The Wind", "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Hollywood Nights", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Roll Me Away", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight" etc.
Watching you enjoying this classic is one of the most transcendentally beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Wow. Seger has so many great songs and honestly, I can’t actually think of a song of his I didn’t think was that good. Along with this song, some of my favorites are Her Strut, Katmandú, Shakedown, so many more I can’t even think of right now.
Wonderful reaction from you, Blessing. I'm so glad you've been turned loose on Bob Seger (pronounced SEE-ger). He's an incredible songwriter and performer. Back in London in 1969, my group Gafoja covered his brilliant anti-war song, "2+2." It was a ripping rocker with a passionate message for the times. By the 70s, he was an international star. "Night Moves" is just brilliant. Enjoy the journey. And a very Happy New Year to you, with best wishes on all fronts. ❤
Happy New Year 🎉 Blessing! May the New Year bring you peace and prosperity 😊! Yes, Bob Seger ( see gur) is a legend and just retired from touring this past year. I saw him a few times and his concerts are 👍. I know you will like his Against The Wind song. Please check it out next. ❤
Doobie Brothers What a fool believes and Gordon Lightfoot If you could read my mind. No live versions. Come back to me if you wanna do a reaction and I give the best version. Be amazed.

I'm in Wisconsin USA and what I like most about Bob Seger is his organic timeless style and character. All Bob Seger songs are good.😊❤
Virginia. Go down the Bob rabbit hole. Please. He is one of the greats.
Houston here. Bob can paint great word pictures and he makes you feel.
And heard the “woman or a man “ comment many times.
That's what his voice does . It just penetrate tos your soul!

Hi Dagmar
Probably my fave Bob Seger song. Love its slow-burning, smoldering feel. And as a singer he’s got real soul.
He oozes cool!
Exactly 💯
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band was the very first concert I attended... in 1980. Incredible performances throughout!
Such a raw great voice!

Hey Pa 🎉
You should listen to the cover version of Metallica, especially the live version recorded at the Masonic Center, it gives me goosebumps.
More Bob!!!
Bob Seger is awesome! Any song you listen to, you will like. This song and a song called we’ve got tonight Thai as my favorite Bob Seger songs. No
East of Omaha? He's in Iowa!
His song, " Main Street " will put you there too. Enjoyed your reaction. 🌹
i think I heard that this song could be played with very basic instruments so the crew could break down much of the stage while the band played this.
Please do more Bob See-ger. He has many great songs.
Please do fire lake and against the wind by Bob Seger
Please do a song by Volbeat, you won't be disappointed. Start with Cape of your hero or Dagen Fur
Metallica did a cover of this song and it's good, but it gets all the radio airplay and every time I hear it I wish it was the original.
Hate the Metallica version!
It's about a man playing one night stands in bars .and he is going on.again..
Love your raw reactions. Brilliant not having anything in your background I get a better reaction of your reaction.no distraction.
Hi dear please help to reaction new song of vannda Cambodia thank you ❤❤

Doobie Brothers What a fool believes and Gordon Lightfoot If you could read my mind. No live versions. Come back to me if you wanna do a reaction and I give the best version. Be amazed.
This song is amazing and sad. The song is about being a teenager (summer) , Autumn is closing in (Adulthood) and thunder closing in (Death).
