I wasn't surprised by the price tag. Firstly, its a v4 and v4s are tiny bit more expensive than the conventional inline-4 and that's primarily because a v4 configuration is much more complex than an inline-4 but now superbikes like Yamaha r1 will also cost you about same...
I believe Tuono factory is possibly the best packaged motorcycle in the segment ...... Compact, Comfortably , Crazy on power n electronics and a sound track to die for and @ 20lac decent on value when compared to the S1000r
Bajaj can only dream of building a bike of even 20% of the capability of the Tuono V4. I really wish it was a CKD it would make it much more accessible. I really wish they had build the Caponard on this platform and not on the dorso's.
Thanks for a most passionate review. Can you provide any insight on two aspects of the bike. V-engines tend to kick heat up to the riders legs and ass at low speeds. Did you experience any annoying engine heat? Second, you look taller than me (I'm 2.05m). How did you find leg position. Seems more cramped (higher rearsets) than say S1000R. Thanks! keep up the good work...
With such an awesome ride as the Aprilia Tuono Factory, why no gas gauge?? Go figure. The instrument warning light can be hard to notice in bright sunlight. Took one out for test drive from area dealer and, guess what? Ran out of gas. If this can happen under the watchful eye of the Aprilia sales agent, it can happen to me. I know, seems mundane to some, but a deal breaker for me. I'm not a track rider and don't want to open and peek into the tank obsessively on errands or rides. Any comments?
Steve, thanks for comment. You're right and I've thought of this but also aware that gas mpg can vary with riding style of the day (local commute, spirited street ride, or track). I just thought a gauge could be an easy fix for such a technologically advanced bike. Like my initial post, the salesman assumed there was sufficient gas for the miles on the bike. I trust he ought to know. Ran out of gas. If he can get it wrong, I sure can. After all, 'Murphy' is my cousin. Enjoy your riding.
The best bike reviewer in India.
Great job.

I want this bike bad, but it's expensive, and if I buy it it's just going to get stolen :(
