I came back to this video to get in the mood for Halloween. My best friends birthday is on October 30th too!! I grew up on all the classic horror movies(creepshow, Freddy, chucky, Michael etc). Halloween 3 Season of the Witch is a must for me and my dad and I watch it with him every year. I would love another Halloween movies video this year from you. Maybe an updated list? This is one of my favorites of yours.

Excellent video, Prim, it was enjoyable listening to you list your 50 favorite films to watch in October and it was a great list too! Most of the films you listed weren't surprising to hear, but there was a surprise here & there, particularly 'Clownhouse', 'Night of the Demons' & 'The Bad Seed', which I'm impressed you're familiar with! Also, I really dig the Freddy Krueger look you have goin' on here, especially because he's my favorite boogeyman of the cinema (shall we say)! Thank you for another awesome video! 😃👍👏
By the way, in addition to the Invisible Man being absent from your Universal Monsters coffee mug (which is really cool), the Phantom of the Opera is also noticeably missing (at least I didn't see him on it). Of course there's a number of lesser known Universal Monsters not on it either, but the Phantom & Invisible Man are definitely big/famous ones.
Now onto October Marathon Day 21.... 🎃

A very interesting cross section of the horror genre. You've managed to include a little bit of everything and while my own list is very different (mine would include a ton more slashers and weird Italian horror films) I must say you have very good taste. Also, throw a high five your Dad's way for me, for raising you on awesome movies! To leave off, one of my favorite creature features to watch in October is the original Pumpkinhead.

Maybe I’m bias because I’m a 90s baby, but Scream is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It is such a great movie and I always feel it is vastly under appreciated as a Slasher movie. It Really brought that genre back from the dead when it came out in 1996. It was Wittingly self-aware which I also loved. The characters were also great and the twist was very unique for its time. In my opinion it is probably Wes Cravens best film (and yes I would rank it higher than Nightmare in Elm Street).

Wow! What a beautiful lady. She is absolutely gorgeous! And listening to her voice makes you feel like you're floating on a cloud. I love her hat. In most cases the person looks good in the hat but in her case, she makes the hat look good. Horror/scary movies are some of my favorite movies too. With myself doing some acting work a few years back as a movie extra in some major movies and getting a few speaking roles in some independent films, I always wanted to get a part in a horror movie. But I did get to meet some major actors like Bruce Willis (as well as a few others). This was a very enjoyable video. Thank you.

You look great as Primie Krueger! I hope you will make a horror movie role play for the October Marathon. Out of the movies you mentioned my favorite is "Nosferatu". "The one spooky person I can't find on here is the invisible man". "The Invisible Man" (1933) is one of my favorite movies. I think my favorite horror movie is "The Bride of Frankenstein". But any black & white movie is great for October, I like how the old movies rely more on the overall vibe and atmosphere instead of the actual horror. If the old horror movies from the 1930s/40s/50s came out today, they would probably be considered action films by modern standards.

You look fantastic in Freddy Krueger's striped sweater, Prim!!And as usual, you can't be anything less than super classy under a hat! We have a lot of scary movies in commun, actually. Another film I liked with Kevin Bacon was Criminal Law. What's quite unique with this actor is he can play dangerous characters as easily as good guys, which is not that frequent in Hollywood.
I would add to the list Dreamscape, a great movie with Dennis Quaid, Max Von Sydow and Christopher Plummer, plus two other ones I loved watching over and over again as a teenager: Dr Giggles (I did find Holly Mary Combs quite to my taste at the time, haha) and Evil Dead 3, so funny and entertaining. Special thought to When a stranger calls and Jaws, two of my very first really scary moments as a kid. Thank you for reminding me all these great hours of terror...

My favourite Horror Movies....1. Return of the Living Dead ...the rest in no particular order...Dawn of the Dead (both original and remake)...Day of the Dead (original only)...Night of the Living Dead (both original and remake)...Re-Animator...Halloween...Terrifier....C.H.U.D. (ok it stinks, but it was my childhood)...Paranormal Activity (the 1st one scared the bejesus outta me)...Quarantine (great flick to watch now due to our current pandemic lockdown)...HOSTEL...The Exorcist (just for the possession scene/s...they were horrifying as a youngster and still hold up well)..pretty much all the Nightmare on Elm Streets, but like Return of the Living Dead, they are more fun than scary (after the 1st one)...The Mist...The Lost Boys (but really not a horror...just good fun with the 2 Coreys and Keifer & the rest)...Dead Alive (another comedy horror)...Shaun of the Dead...The Orphanage (loved this one)...Fright Night (one of the few vampire flicks i like)...28 Days / Weeks Later...Demons...The Fly (love Goldblum and had a crush on Geena Davis)...Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1970's version) ... Evil Dead 1, 2 & Army of Darkness...Drag Me to Hell...Jaws...Get Out (i like where the mom stirs the tea cup...i find the sound very relaxing)...All of the films i've mentioned I highly recommend...of course there are some i'm forgetting and others I personally like, but more because they are bad enough to be good....Thanks again Prim...you seem like one cool lady....Rock On All & hopefully you get turned on to some great Horror movies you've never heard of...

    Hello Prim!
I ,love your selection of scary movies to watch in October, or just to watch anytime! Several of the movies that you mentioned are on my favorite list as well, I think, like you, I have to put Halloween directed by John Carpenter near the top of my list. I remember the very first time I watched the film I think I had my hand covering my eyes through 90% of the film, and the music, the music for the film is one of my favorites as well. I also love The Ring with Naomi Watts. That film scared the crap out of me. I was unsettled, and couldn't go to sleep after watching it. Silence of the Lambs is also on my list. The original Nightmare on Elm Street is also a scary one for me, along with Scream, that was also directed by Wes Craven. My favorite Stephen King novel is IT and I think that the newest film based on the book is also on my favorite list! I loved the film a lot, and made sure that I got it on blu ray when it was released. I am sooooo looking forward to the conclusion next year! Thanks for letting me know about The Private Eyes, I loved that movie and Don Knotts and Tim Conway have such great chemistry. I didn't know that it was available on blu ray. I'll have to start looking for it! I don't know if you have watched any of the classic/black and white films of the famous comedy duo of Abbott and Costello but their comedy/horror films are some of my favorites as well. I have their Universal Studios film collection on dvd, and love watching their films where they meet The Mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Werewolf and The Invisible Man. They are timeless and never get old! I hope that you have a great Halloween! Happy Birthday to you as well, I hope that it is truly frightful! Haha! I look forward to your next video, and Take Care! Bye! : )

I'm surprised that most of my favorites are on here like most slasher and suspense films like Scream, 1408, Silence of the Lambs, Child's Play, Prom Night, Dream Warriors, Misery, and more. My top favorite is Scream, and most others that are not on here like V.H.S, Grave Encounters, Alien, Devil's Rejects, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and The Grudge both the American and Japanese version. Keep up the good work and Happy Halloween.

Beautiful Prim, I remember watching misery with my mom for the first time when It first came out, we both enjoyed it & we both cringed when she broke his legs on the bed. The Halloween that was directed by Rob zombie, I think he did an awesome job with the whole back story how Michael Myers became a killer. The only horror movie remake that was very disappointing to me was nightmare on elm St, trying to replace Robert Englund just didn't work. Really cool video, see you in the next one 😍😘🙋

Out of the films on your list, the ones I have seen are Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Jeepers Creepers, Bride of Chucky and Final Destination Part 2. Most of those are some of my favorite scary movies too. I think I've seen the first three Final Destination films and those are all great. The only one out of those that I didn't like as much was Bride of Chucky, but the others were probably some of the best horror films I've seen! The song "Jeepers Creepers" used in the movie, was a big hit back in the 1930's. My favorite scary movie is "The Midnight Hour" which I've mentioned to you recently. Other favorites of mine are the first three Urban Legend films, Wishcraft, the Ring, Stepmonster and too many others to mention. Besides these, I tend to watch more obscure low budget horror films which are even cheesier, but I like that about them.
Also, if you haven't seen them, you should check out some of the Hammer British horror films made from the '50's to '70's, because those are some of the best ever made if you like gothic atmosphere, and great acting. The Dracula films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are especially good, and I highly recommend them. I've seen most of them.
As for the TV shows, I've seen most of the episodes of the Twilight Zone. It was a really creative TV program. I've also seen the episodes of the revived Twilight Zone show from the 1980's. Have you seen that one? I never watched Tales from the Crypt but I read a lot of the original comic books from the 1950's that the show was based on. I read them in reprinted form (not the original copies), like the one that Maize was reading at the start of her video.

If you haven't seen it, check out Sole Survivor from 1983. Final Destination borrowed heavily from it. It's on UA-cam.

I took notes so this will be long...
I got a bone to pick with you! You got a lot of the common classics but stepped clean over Pet Cemetery? What's going on!?
Childs Play is awesome, and it's the only one of the series really meant to be a horror movie. And not a horror comedy. One of the stand out scenes for was the shot of Chucky burned and walking slowly with the knife held up. It was on of the shots where it's a little person to make the shot work, and it just looks so eerie because of it Like he's real. That was intense when I was a kid and still looks cool.
Dolls? really Prim? lol Not hating I have favorites like that too but Dolls? Not even Dolly Dearest? Get it together!
And RIP Wes Craven. Speaking Wes Craven if you haven't seen The People Under The Stairs you should!
Hocus Pocus, childhood PG movie classic right there, maybe even G - remember winnie remember!
Clown House- do you know the dark stuff that happened with that movie?
Night of the Demons is definitely one of my favorites, I can't believe you've seen much less like it! Also the movie 'Demons.'
There's a movie that's similar to Night of the Demons, and the effects are really similar but it's called Demon Wind. Kinda has that same feel, lower budget but the effects, gore, etc are awesome. I have it on VHS, it only has a VHS release, maybe a UK DVD release, but the VHS Rips are on youtube so you're in luck.
Trick r Treat? you always surprise me Prim, geez. Keep it up.
Puppet Master is one of my favorites. I have that rare big box set that was like 200 bucks years ago.
As soon as you said 'oldest' I said to myself 'Gonna be Nosferatu' lol If you're ever looking for a good Silent Horror film but not sure which one to sit through, check out The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Vampyr (1932) Sound was coming around by then for Vampyr but for a couple reasons the director chose to make it more silent for less dubbing (don't quote me) so basically he shot it like the movies he had made before which are silent films.
Not mention of Ghostbusters? Splash some water on your face and wake up! lol
If you're looking for some not so serious 'horror' themed movies you can also check out The Burbs starring Tom Hanks and Frankenhooker.
Geez, if you keep talking to me you're going to have watch 5 movies everyday of October to keep up, I can go on and on! I'm done! 😝
*And you know I'm not REALLY being mean (in case some people take my jokes seriously).
