Thank you Father for all your prayers and everything you’re going through and still taking time to share the Gospel with us. I’ve never met you, but I consider you a spiritual father and I am blessed by your ministry. Thank you for your words and homilies.
Thank you Father for the positive message in your homily tonight. It’s such a blessing to be able to pray with you and hear your homilies. God bless you
I praise Jesus for your miraculous healing. Thank you for the glorious good report and testimony before everyone - may all the victims you suffered with Christ for also be healed as you have been
Thank you Father ! It's so good to hear your homilies. Without question not only do they help us to understand better the readings and how they apply to our lives. Father Hollowell, I am thrilled to see you up and doing Homilies once more.Thank for sharing your thoughts with us at this most wonderful time of year, when we are literally suffering with our Lord. Thank you for being a priest . We are blessed to have you speak to us, God willing you continue to heal , praise the Lord. And thank you for offering your suffering for our family that suffered abuse by priests. Thank you again for the light of Christ our Loving Lord, son of God. Amen , Father and a Blessed Easter to you.❤️❤️❤️❤️from Connecticut
I have to agree with you, Father. There are many of us out here trying to step up in additional ways, out of reparation. This lent I decided to pull an all-nighter in honor of keeping watch -- in prayer and meditation, etc. only I won't be falling asleep until the sun comes up. :) I feel hopeful also, and surprisingly peaceful during this entire thing, praise God. I KNOW it's a grace that I don't take for granted. Thank you for this beautiful video and truly giving your life to God. I feel blessed to be in your virtual presence.
John 3:16 Believe and be saved. The first and most obvious bearing of this verse upon our lives is this: believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone and at that moment you will be saved. Accept the free gift of eternal life. Give up trying to be saved on the basis of good works, reformation, commitment, promises, sacraments and the like. Rely solely on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Be sure. Secondly, rest in your eternal life. Take God at His Word. Don't look to your fallible works for assurance. Look to your infallible Savior. As the old gospel hymn says, "Whosoever surely meaneth me." Once we trust in Jesus Christ we have eternal life. We don't get it when we die. We get it when we believe in Him. Thirdly, in your personal study of Scripture remember the four words of John 3:16,"whoever believes in Him," Whenever you read in a passage that someone believed in Jesus Christ vou can know that they have eternal salvation. I am amazed how many commentators and Bible expositors will take a passage that clearly says that someone believed in Jesus Christ and say that the person didn't really believe. This is commonly done with Luke 8:13; John 2:23; 8:30-31; 12:42: and Acts 8:5,12-13. If the Scriptures say that someone believed in Jesus Christ then they did. Remember, John 3:16 says whoever. Unbelievers do not believe in Christ. Only believers believe. Share it. Finally, share the message of John 3:16 with others-with neighbors, coworkers, relatives, schoolmates, and strangers. Tell them the wondrous story. Tell them that whoever means whoever. Shalom
Dear Father, Thank you so much for your continuing and tireless concern for my path to our Blessed Lord's Kingdom. And 'ya know...as we, the laity, listen to priests like you, well, let me tell you: the Holy Spirit most certainly does come to us, even in tiny ways. For instance: many of us are sports fans. And so many times - particularly during baseball and football telecasts - when an outfielder or wide receiver makes a remarkable catch, we'll hear the announcer say, "So-and-So just 'sacrifices his body' to make that spectacular catch". . . . And, I just realized: Maybe the next time I hear an announcer use such an incongruent metaphor, I can pray the Ave Maria to myself.
Hi Father Hollowell, My name is Linda (De Santis) McGrath, I have so much to share with you I hardly know where to begin. I am from the Newark Archdiocese and about the beginning of March , I attended a Women’s Conference and had the opportunity to receive a special blessing from Cardinal Tobin and also to have a delightful conversation about you. ( it’s sort of funny , I told him I love listening to your homilies and I fall asleep listening to them.!!!It took me awhile to understand his suppressed laughter) At that time I did not know of your illness, I found out about it from your homily. I wanted to have a Mass said for you so I called your Archdiocese to get your address . I had a wonderful conversation with the a receptionist from your Archdiocese. I told her I was from Newark and that initiated a conversation about Cardinal Tobin. When she said, “Oh,isn’t he wonderful!” I hesitated and asked , “ Who ? Cardinal Tobin or Father Hollowell?” She responded, “ Cardinal Tobin, but of course Father Hollowell too!” ( I guess you can gather I have an odd way with verbal communication) I couldn’t get the Mass card because all of our churches and Masses got shut down! I just listened to your most recent homily and I feel the same way you do! Listening to you is a great gift from God to me. Thank you for being a priest! Love, Linda ( De Santis ) McGrath
