I wonder how well the Mega 1 would do Xbox Remote Play. I think the xbox does the work and it just streams to the device. Do you think it would be able to handle that without big issues.

Thanks for the review. I’ve ordered one for mainly moonlight streaming. I noticed that decode latency with the g99 processors decode is sitting around 20ms which seems standard for this. Something to do with the newer decoder not having low latency mode. Hopefully it gets sorted with a update or something.
Out of curiosity, did you notice much Input lag/delay whilst playing sonic ? If possible. If you happen to use moonlight again, could you test it with performance mode on and see what the decode latency is ? I’ve heard it makes a difference !

How did you split the screen? I cant see the option in my recent apps, how can I enable it?
Open the app switcher, then tap the three dots next to the app you want to split. The two squares icon will start the splitter.

Blackview Mega 1 with a 50MP camera? That's unexpected! Helio G99 should be able to process photos quickly too. Interesting option for mobile photographers. I think the mediatek chipset is an impressive one!!
Yeah it's pretty good, and the huge viewfinder is awesome too. G99 is a great chip!

Mega 1 helio G99 CPU counterpart with snapdragon is 732G so do the math.

If you do it wirelessly, using a virtual l monitor, yes. But not using a cable or anything like that.
With that 12GB of RAM and Helio G99 processor, you can multitask with ease, switching between apps and browsing the web without any lag.
Sounds like a tricky choice between the two tablets! 🤔

It's not a 4K screen, but it's more than powerful enough to play 4K.
Too bad it doesn't come with a case+keyboard combo like the blackview 18. Tempted to get it anyway because of the frame.
I'm assuming a keyboard case will eventually come out!

Why do phone and tablet manufacturers bother with making 12GB ram models? WHy not just make it 16GB? Is 12GB any noticeable difference from 8GB ram?
I'm guessing the 12GB chips are cheaper than 16GB for the manufacturer. Personally I think 12 is a good middle ground especially for a budget tablet.

Dont forget that the helios g99 has terrible performance with moonlight for a very bad decoding time
That's news to me, I have no problems with it. Maybe I'm just not very sensitive to latency!

It's a feature I like and I prefer wired headphones to wireless.

Can you not just use a micro c to 3.5mm audio adapter (many people use one for my mobile phones without a physical audio input)?

@@karlinguk Of course that would work, but I prefer a 3.5mm port. Yes, Bluetooth accessories will work just fine!
I find devices that use Bluetooth don't work well with speakers as there is a delay which makes playing guitar tabs app hard as it's out of sync
