- Despite a tough fight, Arkansas fell 34-10 to LSU in Fayetteville. The Hogs struggled to get the ground game going, managing just 38 rushing yards, while LSU’s Caden Durham ran for three touchdowns. Whit Weeks’ pivotal interception near the end zone set up a late score that widened the gap. Arkansas’ defense battled, but LSU controlled the line of scrimmage, making it tough for the Hogs to keep pace. With missed opportunities and a strong LSU performance, the Razorbacks will need to regroup ahead of their next SEC challenge.
In this episode of 4th and 5, we break down Arkansas’ tough loss to LSU, focusing on the defensive struggles that led to the 34-10 defeat.
Our team analyzes how the Hogs were stifled on the on third down. We explore what went wrong for the Razorbacks and where they can improve before their next SEC showdown.
I’m an LSU fan. This is a great show.
Matt has to be a permanent fixture for the show!
I remember Matt Harris playing safety for Arkansas well, as he's very close to my age and came in right after I graduated high school in 2004. Plus his dad is another Razorback and Cowboy Pro Bowl legend at the S position. Definitely awesome to hear his insight on this show!!! #WPS
Enjoy 4&5!!! Great job!!!
Matt Harris is giving away all the secrets! I love all his little tells of run or pass.
I was expecting a typical Tigha/Hawg knock down drag out close game ...... We came out mostly hitting on all cylinders for 4 quarters for a change. Yall got us on an Up night.
Great stuff! We didn't call it that back when I played high school ball in the early seventies, but "running the alley" is something that was drilled into us defensive ends (back then it was three down lineman and two stand up DEs) but the idea was the same--the sideline is your friend. I don't see very many teams do this very well anymore--almost makes me want to coach or be a consultant--but I'm sure Matt would be way better than me at it.
Thanks for the excellent breakdown again matt!
LSU had the talent advantage and played well but hogs D did not play to their potential.
I love yall but i cant make myself watch this week😂. Too soon. Ill hit like tho😂
Without turnovers AND capitalizing on the times when a team WANTS to give you back the ball. This team is still undefeated!
Making a bowl gives the team more practice time and game experience. I wish we were winning more, but a bowl game the team get better
Watched a few games this weekend and I’m beginning to wonder if coaches use DOWN AND DISTANCE
I think the problem is our DB’s, really our team in general don’t THINK the game at all, It’s like they’re just out there sometimes. Folks mad at the coaches but they can only do so much. I doubt they watch much film without the coaches, their not disciplined in their assignments, imo it’s the reason we always look a step behind.
I wish Matt was on this coaching staff lol. Either that or they need to hire him as a consultant to come in once a week to get some fire in this secondary. Someone needs to tell these kids that if they stick their head in there they can make themselves some money
There's a huge difference between being told something and actually doing it. I suspect the players are being told/coached correctly on what to do.
TAYLEN Green is NOT the guy.... He's too inconsistent. Singleton should be starting 😊
Our QB has 6 TDs, 6 INTs, 0 rush TDs against SEC. I dunno if Singleton is going to do any better. But, those numbers are bad.
We need to recruit smarter guys.
Looks to me like a combination of a Brad Davis coached O-line and an offensive coordinator who got in T-Wills head.
Bend don't break will always break.
Matt needs to coach!!
I liked gloves. Hid all my taped up mashed knuckles 😂
a loss to Miissey State and the only people happy in Fayetteville are realtors selling coaches houses. Better focus hard this week. This is for all the marbles. I bet the players aren't worried about y'all dogging them. Their coaches jobs are on the line so they are likely getting the devil from them. No one wants to come home from work one day and tell your wife Ilost my job, we're selling the house and moving.
If we fire this staff I wonder if this fanbase will ever allow an Arkansas team get good enough to win consistently.
Why do we tackle so high?
Again LSU wanted to win. Hog players wanted to know where that NIL check was.would not be surprised if the Hogs fall to Miss St.
Really? You think this team is just worried about nil? Because they lost to a team that pays way more NIL and has way more talent? What a pointless statement just to say your aren't happy with how they played.
LSU does not have way more talent 🤡🤡🤡🤡
@@JustinWilliams-f6l are you out of your mind. Ever look at a recruiting ranking clown
@JustinWilliams-f6l let me break this down for you in simple terms. 63% of 5 star recruits get drafted while only 22% of 4 stars. Now consider the fact get are only 32 total 5 star players out of high school each year and 468 4 star players. 3 stars make up 9728 players and only have a 5.3% chance of making it in the NFL. Now go look at Arkansas' players vs LSU's. LSU has more talent NFL ready talent on their bench than Arkansas has starting. I'm an Arkansas fan. But that's just a fact. So try again 🤡
For the love of god, please tell him to never say “vysa versa” ever again.
I don't like his inconsistency at all
Any loss to lsu is an embarrassment- if we play this team 10 times we should win all 10
I'm a hog through and through. We definitely made our fair share of mistakes but to claim Arkansas should win this game 10 out of 10 times is just not true. Our offense is SEC play is pathetic and our QB has more turnovers than touchdowns on the season.
Lsu is trash lets be real those refs killed us with those bad calls that helped kill our momentum then dubs fumble then that fluke ass interception if that don't Arkansas was gonna go and scrore that bye week hurt us more than helped
34-10 score disagrees with your take.
How they trash and the score was 34 to 10 Arkansas just not good enough
Let’s be honest refs saved them vs lsu and ole miss lsu is not that good those refs killed our momentum with those bogus calls if not for that bye week Arkansas would have smashed they ass and that’s facts
@@JustinWilliams-f6l it was a few calls but the good teams always find away…. Who have Arkansas smashed this year nobody
I was there, refs indeed are trash. As were the decisions made on the field. Coordinators can only do so much. Execution was an issue
