Awesome Video!! I’ve been kayak 10:54 fishing gulf island pond on the androscoggin we catch giants through the ice….ive caught some 5-12 had a couple giants come outta the water missing my topwater plugs! Tight lines!
I’m glad you brought a big bet along, that was a giant pike. Those smallies were big as well. That spinner worked well for you Josh. Great release on those fish. Congrats on the PB. Great day out there. Adrian
That’s a nice pike especially for summer. Good job on the quick release, and nice smallies too. I might have to add some of the larger sized spinners to my tackle box especially if they are good for all 3 open water seasons.
Wow!!! That is one small mouth !! Wow awesome fishing dear bro wow big and chunky ones !!! soo happy to see you fishing!! Beautiful view there too Take care Love from here 🥰🥰💪🏻💪🏻😻
Started off with some tank Smallies , but what a way to end the day with a Big PB Northern. I don’t like to speculate either but that was way more than 10. Nice fish !
Congrats bro that is a trophy Pike right there ! Please for the fun of it give me your honest guesstimate on how much you think that fish weighed ? Really looking forward to your answer and I will give you my respectable opinion as well. Good fishing always sincerely Record 🎣
Inspired me to pike fish catching pike there was fun couldn’t imagine a beast like that one in my little old town kayak haha love the content man maybe we’ll see ya around fishing sometime
Nice fish from the kayak. I’m a canoe fisherman and I’m coming to Augusta for 13 weeks for work. Do you have recommendations for me to try in that area?
Any of the Belgrade lakes. North, East, Messo, Long and Great Pond are some of the best in the state, and right next to Augusta. China Lake, Cobbesscontee, Annebasacook and Webber are also good. You won’t have to travel far from Augusta to be in some good fish.
Very nice congrats...she were a fatty...Time for a bigger net...laughed when you said “I want to get this in ASAP” and she started strippin more line The fishermens “high” ...nuthin better than shakin after landing a big beast - I used a black sharpie to put measure marks down the top side of my Pred PDL - started with zero at the removable black flat plastic piece starboard of the peddle unit (where you can mount something - straight back from there along the edge down to the seat - I can lay a big striper sideways and get a decent rough measure - put marks every 5 inches and numbers next to them. Then an easy release - hold the tail toward seat and mouth to the zero - then slip her overboard and hold tail till she is ready to go...I keep my fishfinder and trolling rig on the port side to keep the other side clear. For bass, I have one of my rods with thin pieces of masking tape with drawn black line around on it at 18” 19” 20” 22” and 24” (still waiting on that one ha ha). So I hold tail to butt end and mouth up to the measure pieces and get a real quick measure - no time at all. I have a ketch board in the boat and all that, but that’s only if I am doing a tourney or such or want a picture with the fish and length.
Yea, this one was crazy!!! Especially in a kayak. I like your idea of having some marks on the boat for quick reference. I’ll have to do something like that
Big 8" inline spinner equals big fish. 3 big chunky smallies and a HUGE pike! Congrats Josh. That pike was a beast and put up a hell of a fight.
The 8” Inlines pretty much weed out all the small fish!! Definitely my go to for big Pike
Awesome

Always wanted to put some time in on that River..both ice and open water.

Im glad I got the net too. Pike that big, with 2 Trebels can be dangerous in a kayak.

These spinners work ice out to ice in here in Maine! Thanks for taking the time to check out the video!
That’s a big pike! Caught my first ever chain pickerel on Pemadumcook Lake, while vacationing in Maine, last week.👍🏼Tight lines man🍻
Chain Pickerel are fun!!
You said it, that pike is a stud! Well done man! Lots of nice bass in there too 😎👍
I would have loved to get some formal measurement on it, but good to have it documented either way. Thanks for checking it out
Well if you know how wide your kayak is think you could make a pretty good guess
Awesome fish and congrats on your pb! Glad you captured it too!
Thanks Trevor!! Glad everything lined up on this one
That is a nice beast of a pike. Great lake to fish.
My favorite place for Pike!!
Awesome man! I just discovered your channel through Livin MN Outdoors! I love any content with pike and musky!! Great job!!
Thanks for checking out the channel. Good to have you onboard

Some nice Smallies and a beast Pike. Congrats
Thanks!! It was a good couple hours
That pike was a beast Josh, good job.
It scared me a little!

I want to say closer to 20, due to the girth. It was eating well.
I’d say you’re just about right @ 20....heck of a fish !
Beautiful pike that you caught. It's hard to land them in alot of sloppy weeds. For musky fishing people use 80 lb braid to pull them out of slop
Thanks Musky! I was running 40lb braid, and it got it done
Nice pike!!
Thanks Jacob!!
Congrats on the PB that’s a beautiful fish!!
Island Life Fishing Thanks!! Not going to forget that one
Dude, that was unreal
It was!! Big Pike like that are hard to beat!!
Wish we had a place to get pike consistently in South Carolina
They’re a blast to catch!! We’re fortunate to be surrounded by them
Congrats, that's a beast of a pike .
Thanks!! I was pumped

Really hard to judge in a kayak. But I’m guessing an easy 21lbs!
Awesome fish!
Thanks!! It was a crazy fight
That was a Smasher!!
Not going to lie, it scared me a little!!!
That a graet fish , bravo 👏 like
Thanks
Love that place went there today Messo is fun
One of my favorites

R u talking about Messalonskee lake?
incredible pike and landing man! congrats from the midcoast!!! :D
It was a challenging one, not a lot of room in the kayak. Thanks for checking it out
