Backpacker Campsite (mi. 1302.2) to Stealth tent site (mi. 1318.4) WOW! this is my 90th check-in … crazy! Other than the big stack of French toast I had this morning, and the crazy heat, it was a pretty uneventful day. I left camp about 07:30 and hiked the six or so miles to the AMC (Appalachian Mountain Club) lodge, had my breakfast, then I hiked on from there till about 1 pm then decided to set up my tent and take a nap for two hours. I got back on the trail a little after 3 pm. I ended up hiking until 7 o’clock or so, and found a nice spot just down the trail from a big group of kids with Upward Bound, who are out for a few days on the trail. I only have 7.6 miles to hike in the morning to the road crossing that will put me near Branchville, New Jersey. Looking very forward to a shower, I don’t even care if it’s hot 😂
Todays menu: Order of French toast, 20 oz. Gatorade, can of Sprite, small bottle of orange juice, 2 fruit bar popsicles, package of licorice, builders protein bar, large bag of Swedish fish, Cliff bar, lasagna & meat sauce freeze dried meal, an apple, and water.
