this is lovely!! i’m going to the uni of chichester. but i’m privately renting an apartment with some other girls so i keep watching traditional uni room tours to not feel left out 🤣
Wow, this is a far cry from when I was in "H Block" in R&G halls 20 years ago - I had heard they'd knocked it down and re-built - looks loads nicer now. Back then, there were 5 rooms to a corridor and we all shared one bathroom at one end, and one tiny kitchen at the other. It was funny as the accommodation pack suggested we all bring saucepans and frying pans only to find the kitchen only had a microwave! Also, doesn't feel that long ago but no network or wifi int he rooms - had to go up to D&R halls to use the "computer room" to check our emails and browse the internet! Still one of the best years of my life! Was feeling nostalgic this morning and am looking back at photos and videos of the uni, since I barely have any photos (got three sets of developed photos from my whole time there I think - how old-fashioned does it sound?! And it was only 20 years ago - feels more like 5 months...) Nice to see this :)
Sorry this might be too late but i got lights similar to these - mine were too long so i folded the wires up so that they fitted the wall :) www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08BXL3RLB/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B08BXL3RLB&linkCode=as2&tag=amberbiffin21-21&linkId=1c00b553eebfac1efbef0dd705fc57ba
Hey! Yes the. beds have space for you to store things underneath! I managed to fit 4 of the low storage boxes, a small case & my clothes maiden under my bed :)m
The first time come to UK in liverpool, I saved my money to study here, but in the bathroom i got a broken air extractor. Secondly, i want to complain about the Kitchen, we are 5 people in the apartment, there are only 2 frying pans and one of these has a broken pot handle?? excuse me ? Then there is not even dishes drying rack?? you just drying your wet dishes and crockery on the kitchen worktop? The residence is expensive, I spend like 225 UK pounds per week, and my room layout is not as same as they show me in the photo, I FEEL GOT CHEATED ! If you want to stay for a short time like 1 month, this place would be OK. However, I do not recommend it for long term student, ABSOLUTELY no. Please do cheated by these photos, make sure that they give you the photo about your room before coming here. I hope they will give me a solution tomorrow, and I gonna write more details about how things develop. - - - last update 04th March 2024 - - - ps. to see the photos please check it on google maps
Can you please suggest some good accommodation choices under a decent price and close to the university? I am planning to move in this sept so just looking for it!
@@AmberBiffin hey! I’ve put greenbank as my top choice accom for next year but was debating wether to change to somewhere more in the city centre? What do you think would you recommend it or should I try to swap?xx
@@elliecampion5813 hi! greenbank is amazing, i'm sure you'll love it! It is a pain having to travel to & from the city especially after a night out however theres buses that run directly to greenbank & you'll have lots of friends to travel with. The accommodation itself is gorgeous & the gym & study rooms onsite make it worth it. I'd recommend crown or vine for campus accommodations as the rooms are really nice and you can walk everywhere :) xx
I paid £178.50 per week but I believe it has now gone up to £182.50 per week. That is expensive for uni accommodation but pretty standard prices for uni of liv accommodation :)
POV: you got your student accommodation offer today and are now looking at YT vids for inspo

lucky mfs lmao i restarted lower sixth so am going to uni next year 💀
