I am a civil eng student, just ordered a 11" iPad Pro for taking notes, and keeping organized. I cant wait to get rid of the pile of textbooks, and papers on my desk! Thanks for the review super useful!
Yo, thank you for giving me a reality check. Maybe I've been so obsessed with getting an iPad because I thought it would fix my awful study habits, but no. If I got an iPad right now, I would not make the most out of it because I would keep procrastinating as usual. What I'll do is improve my study habits, then once I prove I can consistently do that for a long time, then _maybe_ I'll buy an iPad or something similar as a reward.
I’m finance grad but still studying for professional certificates. I have been paperless for almost 2 years now. ipad is so expensive but i invest in 12.9. Now i’m using it for mostly studying, netflix, youtube. For screen protector i have tried elecom but i changed to normal matte screen and now i am going back to original screen. Its not like i hate papers, i just love the fact that i dont need to clean up every time i finished studying and my notes are with me everywhere. Hahaha
If you are graduate, the thick enginering book you have cant be brought in your daily field work activity. So you used ipad to see that thick book again in case you need to understand what theory it needed in field and work place. You look like rich kid but actually you just think smart to lessen the weight of thick book and search faster. When I am in university the ipad gen are still not good as now so I never think to bought it. Now I regret it after I have ipad. You said you just need cheap wacom product and laptop to drawing? No. The feels are different, you will doing faster drawing on ipad rather than laptop because you didnt use shitty command that I am hard to remember when you drawing on laptop.
I am a engineering student i used a android phone If i buy an ipad is their will any problems of data sharing? It will be 1st apple products but i am confused which should i get My preference are 1. Note taking 2.PDF reading 3.Multimeadia consumption 4.Gaming (A little bit not hard core gamers) 5. Watching netflix I have already using the xioami pad 6 it has 144hz refresh rate screen if I am switching to an iPad which has 60hz display is their any type of problem of laggy or slow should my eye's will considering? Lastly which iPad should I buy that will last for my 4 years of engineering?
Each device has its on purpose. I can’t even imagine bringing with me a pen tablet to each of my lectures. Usually, it is made for graphic designer who can’t use an iPad for Photoshop and Illustrator. Although this could be an alternative for notetaking, an iPad would be here the most appropriate purchase for its seamless experience, and multitasking. There are just things in a Laptop/Mac that you can’t do on an iPad and vice-versa. I currently have an iPad Pro 11’ and I don’t regret it. If you don’t have one, please do :)
@@nabihamaceno5056 @Nabiha Macéno well after using both I decided for pen tablets, mainly for taking notes in science in a more efficient way. Pros pen tablets: * most important: fast swap between stylus and keyboard: fast typing on physical keyboard along with using a stylus at the same time -> faster notetaking including text, more shortcuts. (On an iPad one can't do that unless a non Apple Bluetooth Keyboard is acquired, even then it's not intuitive). * faster multitasking, inserting images faster, faster notetaking overall. *better support for engineering and science/math programms *engineering needs formulas, which are a hassle on an ipad. *cheaper price with pen tablets~80 €. (www.xp-pen.com/product/1250.html) * iPad Pro and magic keyboard is as heavy as a laptop (they use weight to stabilise the stand) Medium pen tablets are for notetakers www.xp-pen.com/product/1250.html) and big ones for Architects/illustrators/Artists/Designers. For quick notes I plug the pen tablet into my phone (Android) and use a Bluetooth keyboard to replace a laptop (pen tablet is relative big/compared to the small screen -> accurately control my phone pretty much pixeswise, better than with stylus on the phone directly). But as the Aldrich said, Use the tool that you work most effectively with. It's nothing lore than that. It also comes down to taste. And also advertising as in case of Ipads for Uni lol.
Hi there. Could you help me to figure out which iPad should I go with? I can buy an iPad air 5 for $370 and 12.9” m1 iPad Pro for $620. (Both are used and I have a macbook air as well.) My main usage will be note taking, reading news, papers, articles, watching youtube videos and mostly for the educational purposes.
I’d say so yeah. Portability ain’t an issue for me since 95% of the time my iPad is on a desk. It also fits in my bags and to me, it’s not heavy at all

How did it went for you? I'm also a civil eng student and I'm about to order one aswell
@@mericpinar I 100% recommend it, I use it for all my classes and it makes it much easier
@@MichaelPirout thanks a lot, and do you have any screen protector recommendation for taking notes?
@@MichaelPirout is the size too small for note taking tho? Am really confused whether it’s just too small
How are u gonna make it using programms like revit for example??

Great Video! I still don't quite understand, if money was an issue, why not just get a pen tablet (wacom, Xp-Pen,..) and a decent Laptop/Mac (

Para estudiantes es una buena decisión el Air, si no te importa el dinero ve por el Pro.
ojala el air fuese 12.9 inch...
@@damianvidal1180it is now!
got the answer in 7 sec thanks
What do you study bro? And where (as broad or narrow as you wish)? Cuz those control subjects are fire 🔥

Ipad air 5th gen is enough
Do you think the 11 inch model will be fine for engineer student?? i think the 12.9 is too big
I think any size is fine tbf
still matlab is better on a laptop . hysys unisim are only available on laptop & desktop
Pair it with a paper like screen protector. Just the perfect combination🫶
Is it worth it if I have an Android phone?
YESSSS SOFT ENG JOB U GO GURLLL
Haha yeah man😝
If I tend to buy a 2018/2020 ipad 12.9 model, will it be beneficial for me. Currently in AS.
what did you end up doing?
Would you say theres a big difference between an 11 inch and a 12.9 inch

Yeah yeah. It’s worn out tho but I still use it :)
Yer an alright dude... Cheers!
I have to save up tho, don't have a sugardaddy yet

Damn u rich 🥵🥵
You feel like that when you receive your first pay check haha. But yeah, got something part-time to fund this setup😂
