@@GGTanguera What kind of archeologists would hide such facinating results from the rest of the world. I guess they have - other - stronger ' tendencies ' that have nothing to do with science! 🙄
@@GGTanguera Have you read about the DNA results of a Mount Vesuvius victim that was - perhaps middle class? It turns out that he was basically a mixture of Asian, European and Northern Africa. Judging from the mural paintings found in Pompeii that would make perfect sense.
There was a new find recently not far from the original shipwreck that included partial marble statues of Hercules, full intact jars with goods ranging from gold and gems to trade items such as wine and herbs.
It's 45 meter's, from the Wiki page.... "Around Easter 1900, Captain Dimitrios Kondos and his crew of sponge divers from Syme sailed through the Aegean en route to fishiing grounds off North Africa. They stopped at the Greek island of Antikythera to wait for favorable winds. During the layover, they began diving off the island's coast wearing the standard diving dresses - canvas suits and copper helmets - of the time. Diver Elias Stadiatis descended to 45 meters depth, then quickly signaled to be pulled to the surface. He described a seafloor horror show: a heap of rotting corpses and horses strewn among the rocks. Thinking the diver was drunk from the nitrogen in his breathing mix at that depth, Kondos himself donned the diving gear, and soon returned to the surface with the arm of a bronze statue.
There are many differences in these wrecks. Firstly as stated, the Antikythera wreck was only 50m deep. It would have been a much smaller vessel made from wood, and the heat of the water would have been greater than the Titanic wreck. The Titanic was over 4km deep, in freezing water and in the middle of the Atlantic, meaning more time for any corpses to drift in the strong currents, more predatory sea life and the area the wreck was scattered over was much greater. I don't think this is fake at all.
@@goggles9891 Not to mention the ocean pressures at the depths of the Titanic would have imploded the bodies of the dead. If there were any remains to be found, they would most likely be mere fragments.
This is a fascinating find. I wonder if this hominid skeleton collected beside iron hand tools was evolved from ancient crows that could hunt worms with twigs.
nzhotpepper pretty much, a storm happens, somebody drowns and they get washed in to a churned up mix of an old shipwreck, the wreck is in pretty shallow waters, fingers crossed though!
Pretty decent find, but who is that man wearing the blue shirt and shorts, and why the fuck is he wearing gloves and a face mask in any of those shots? He looks like a fool.
You can't say that for sure. People of the Mediterranean possess varying phenotypes from blonde hair and blue eyes to red hair and blue eyes to Brown hair and Brown eyes. They can come in any look. You obviously haven't done any research of the people of the mediterranean

Rarely do you see such joy by people finding a dead guy......................
@Heiner Ali !!!!!!
This. Some decorum!
DNA analysis is such a powerful tool telling you so much about the person. I am excited to hear about the results.
No results for 4 years now. Interesting...
@@GGTanguera Seems like they don't like the DNA results. 🤔
@@j.a.martir6438 Exactly! Nothing is published.

Their noises of excitement when they found the skeleton reminded me of dolphins. It's cute
I could've done without the squeeling sound bites myself.
its kinda pathetic
@@chrismc.4437 Ha! Ha! Ha!
Was this ever followed up with DNA results?
As of 2020, no.
There was a new find recently not far from the original shipwreck that included partial marble statues of Hercules, full intact jars with goods ranging from gold and gems to trade items such as wine and herbs.
Wow, wow, Wow, a stunningly amazing and exciting discovery!
Well done!
Amazing find!
A true treasure, excellent job greetings from arabia
Good Video! Saludos desde España
Leave the remains alone. So weird how they start squealing with excitement
Leave the remains underwater? This Skeleton drowned probably so the Sea was NOT his last welcoming home....
Do you think the person only had 3 teeth left when they died?
I wonder what the depth is?theve all got rebreather and nitrox for decompression.Very interesting though.

Wonderful
If there’s no remains at all in titanic from 110 years ago and being 1500 bodies I wouldn’t say it’s real at all.

These are humans. Not hominids! The Greeks were like us in every way!
All those questions u asked about him..age etc etc..look in his pockets..he might be carrying i.d
You heard about the man who never was? maybe, his i.d. would be the product of a sick mind!
So much for R.I.P.
RIP underwater???
Did they find anything remarkable about the bones? Did they manage to extract the DNA from the bones?
Good Job ,good video,, Saudações,... Rio, Brazil.
Lets hope it WAS actually from the shipwreck, that isn't actually 100% proven yet but it is a good assumption
assume nothing, corroborate everything.....

Anybody know the name of the actual ship or history of it?
It says n the title lol. U can probably look it up as well. There's a long video about this on u tube as well.
@@kennyg5242 No it doesn't. "Antikythera" is the name of the nearby island. The name of the ship (if it even had one) is unknown.
Remarkable !
How did they person drown when they are only 50 meters from shore?
I adore English Narrators
Is this part of a tv documentary?
What about the DNA results??
DNA origin still fail. It will need years until we have a better machine.
They never found a skeleton.

Que legal
Talking under water is like talking behind multilayered face masks in 2020
millions may have drowned in sea from ancient times . sea is too big
*How about rest in peace? apparently not.*
hi
Fake
If it was in Mediterranean his/her hair was black and his eyes were brown .. there ! I just solved it for ya 😁
Black? There is no black people in the Mediterrean.

This skeleton bone is kind of annoying and creepy

+Terrible I am wondering how even an early a mammal came out of an egg!
It happens every day.....
Mammals come out of eggs every day? Are you sure above that?
never heard of Echidnas? It is one example of still living egg laying mammals. Check it out. Truth is never embarassed by a honest inquiry
