    Really helpful video, thank you! Especially so the information re: battery size and it being able to take a larger 4S battery with minimal modification necessary. Not owned a RC helicopter before but are sorely tempted to buy the FW450 V2!

    One more piece of advise. Secure the USB-C cable (which plugs into the H-1 Flight Controller) with some painters tape to the boom. This will ensure that the USB-C in the H-1 Flight Controller does not get damaged while you do the rotation part of the calibration procedure.

    ps...some folks are doing it on their desktop with the blades off and with tail boom removed for easier movement of the Heli during the calibration dance. They have indicated doing so without any problems.

    Check out the new H1-Heli EN software v1.80 released 2021-07-21.
    During calibration of the compass you get a "Disconnect with an OK check box" plus it disconnects the connection automatically.
    I discovered this with my newly arrived FW450. After troubleshooting for 2 days thinking my USB cable connection was an issue because of the "Disconect-OK" and never seeing the message like videos show.
    Also the learn mode box is absent now.

    Thanks for the great video it helped me set up mine. I’m running a 4s 4000mah battery, what tail gain and throttle % are you running? I’m running throttle 80% tail gain 65% but I’m getting a small tail wag. Any help would be great thank you

    When performing the compass calibration can I do it indoors with my desktop, or do I need to have a laptop and perform the calibration outdoors? I understand the GPS has to connect outdoors with no obstructions but you say that the calibration is for the magnometer. The GPS is only for the helicopter position on earth. I would think that it would be ok to calibrate the Heli magnometer indoors or am I missing something?? GPS=Connection outdoors....Compass(magnometer) calibration indoors? Not really clear on this and any insight would be a great help. Great video by the way, thanks.

    Can you post a link for your Zeee battery? When I visit the Zee website the dimensions they give for the battery you recommend is different Dimension ( ±2mm) 155.5*44*35mm (L*W*H)? Could it be that you ordered in Australia and I'm in the US? ANY help would also help a lot of other people looking for a good aftermarket battery. As you know the Zeee batteries are outstanding battery manufacture.
    Thanks much for your time and effort

    My H1 takes off automaticly in the air. Where can i adjust this in the software? I don't want it to take off automaticly in the height after hitting the run switch.

    Ok mine is together calibration done tail rotor spins the right direction and everything seems normal main blades clockwise tail counter clockwise. When I go to take off strapped to a a solid plate that can rotates. Spins up normal but when you go to take off it's going to start rotation in a wild tailmoving to the right nose to the left spin. If I wasn't strapped to the lazy Susan it would spin uncontrollable and wreck. Tail rotor gain is 49 percent throttle gain 70 percent. Also tried 49 49 ..... 25 45 ect can't get my tail stable..... Why? Sticks adjusted calibrated range calibrated magnetometers calibrated successful tail rotor blade spinning the proper direction with tail rotor on the right direction main blades mounted properly. Is the gyro in this thing busted or what driving me nuts. I already demoed a set of blades tail boom server linkages and arms and ripped the GPS sensor out of the back of the flight controller and broke the little tab on that. that's why I've got the whole thing put back together and now strapped to a bucket until I can figure out if it's going to fly successful before I turn it loose on its own again. This thing was sold ready-to-fly obviously it's not. I also now to the set screw into the tail boom bracket because I don't know about yours but mine kept coming loosewithout any doubt whatsoever as soon as I got it up to a nice altitude the tail boom was surely going to come unplugged. In addition the small collar that holds the main shaft from rising up or actually sinking down. Color was just loose enough as soon as it reached altitude main shaft was going to drop and drive belt was going to come off the motor and main gear. This thing was set up for about half a flightluckily I didn't get that far since my tail rotor won't hold the thing straight I was at least able to keep the thing long enough to maybe figure out the rest of the problems that has. How do I keep this thing from spinning like a top

      SOLVED AT LEAST ONE ISSUE mine was shipped with a small propeller instead of a tail rotor. yep pitched the wrong way. So if I want to get a new rotor or swap the tail rotor wires to spin in the wrong direction. still though its got other issues I am trying to sort through. want to do a restart on my set up menu. womt seam to let me get back there though . maybe I need to download the software again? dont know or maybe my esc wires are not plugged the right way. can for sure tell but I have the plug like the other ones that are negative up. cant tell though all the wires are black on the esc plug

    Did you have to change the battery plug adapter to a T60 plug type? Or did you find your aftermarket Lipo with the T60 connector? Thanks! Maybe give us a link for battery purchase.

    Users all over the world are in trouble. H1 connection. High voltage is required. A wiring example is required. Many BECs are 5 or 6 volts. The receiver voltage is low. The servo is also low voltage. The manual requires an example using a 5 volt receiver or a 5 volt servo. No one has posted on UA-cam. Will the receiver and servo be damaged if a high voltage is applied from the high voltage BEC to the H 1?

    • @05rickie
      @05rickie Рік тому

      WOW,the FW 450L is almost 3 yrs. old now,no complaints about damages from over voltage.

    • @DIY_ch
      @DIY_ch Рік тому

      @@05rickie It's a kit that includes a helicopter. Both servos and receivers accept high voltages. That's the specification. Many people need receivers and servos that support these voltages. Both ESC and BEC must be prepared. It's the H1's weak point.
