Mr Michaud. When I started playing guitar four year ago, I really struggled to break through the whole barre chord hurdle and almost quit after 3 months. Your video about how to condition your fretting hand to strengthen your index finger was the crucial in enabling me to start playing barred chords. Today it's obviously no problem. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I will always be a fan of yours. Kind regards, Alex
Thanks, this is great. I've been using MuseScore and writing my own Keyboard Vamps (usually hammond organ for through-bar sustain)/Bass/& drums for Jazz/Blues/Bebop/Swing guitar improvisation practice, with the added benefit of improving my composition and rhythm-drums and bass clef writing altogether. This has pointed me to some useful options - thank you. In time I'll have more gear to use my Sonar Software and create my own, especially for my own compositions for backing during solo performances. You've really given me some indispensable ideas😉
Using a Hy Vibe guitar I am having a hard time finding acoustic guitar only backing track. I don't want the whole band, just an acoustic guitar to play along with standards of rock, folk, etc. Any thoughts?
I play steel drums and am always looking for backtracks that work well with that sound. I play a variety of genres and want to expand my repertoire. Any suggestions??
I just bought a lekato looper pedal/tuner and had to buy their power supply. Used it a few times and create my own chord progression and can add several layers. Haven't done it but research is on going, you can upload your files to computer with provided cable, or download backing tracks to the pedal as 1, 2, 3, up to 9 loops and then play those as well. Pedal was 20% off and bought cable all in was around $60 or so
You were first on the list when I searched this very topic. 🙏🏻 I’m a complete novice in the world of backing tracks - LOVE MUSIC of course, learning slowly (but hopefully surely 😅) the acoustic guitar but because I don’t play fluently.. yet, really need something to work with. I write & write but need music to put it too. This may sound ridiculous 🤔🤣- when we’re talking about free tracks (if I find one that I get a feel for) these can be used by anyone and shared on a public platform? Obviously credit to the original artist who composed it or is there copyright rules imposed?! Help 🙏🏻🤣
Do you have any tips for finding a lost backing track ? I'll explain. I found a recording of myself playing to a backing track but I guess I didn't book mark it so now I can't find it.
Hey Tomas, i just want to say thank you for this wonderful video. I’ve learned a lot from it. I have one question however. If i do end up creating a band backing track, (for example: one of the eagle’s song but without the guitar part) and i post it on youtube, will i get copyrighted if i do that? Once again, thank you for this video 😊
I really try to find guitar backing tracks of songs like "Hero" from weezer or stuff like that, but i only get sites with microtransactions :( You really have to pay if you wanna get backing tracks
@@peaeater1 write your own goddamn music then. Stop ripping off everyone else. That is unless you're paying them a royalty or a dividend… Which I doubt you are
If you actually watched the video you would see that I referenced nothing of stealing other people's material. There is a vast amount of FREE backing tracks available from many different sources. I also encouraged people to make their own backing tracks from songs that they already own, which means that they paid for these songs, and using as an example, Audacity, to remove the vocals so you can practice along and learn the song that you paid for, downloaded and now want to learn. I see nothing wrong with that, especially since no one is reproducing this to make a profit and this is purely for educational purposes.

Fantastic. Would guitar backing tracks work for Harmonica also? Or any suggestions for a backing track website?
Can you list the music styles which one can look for plz?

Thanks Tomas very helpful. Really.
Thanks, Tomas, for this great 11-minute bundle of helpful information. I've been sharing it with other guitarists.
Glad it was helpful Bob! It's fun making backing tracks this way. I used to record all the instruments but it takes so darn long.
I play steel drums and am always looking for backtracks that work well with that sound. I play a variety of genres and want to expand my repertoire. Any suggestions??
Hi Tomas, for about a year I have been producing Backing Track in various styles, in particular Smooth Jazz if it can be useful!

Very cool!

@@TomasMichaud thank you, Tomas
Thank you so much for your awesome lessons, Tomas. Can you please make a video for the song "run away to mars"? :)
Great suggestion! I will check it out :)
If I use it, won't I be plagiarized ?? And its free or payable
Very well done Thank you..
Thanks for watching Daniel! I'm glad you found it helpful.
That was so great, thanks so much.

I would search the style of music on some backing track sites and go from there first.
Thanks..
You go on UA-cam and search how to find backing tracks. video says: search UA-cam for backing tracks
New sub-Great suggestions, Thank You.
You are so welcome Eric!
Hi there , nicely done vid, very good info.... thanks man
Subscribed! This was really really good and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much Tom. Love your work.
Welcome aboard!
Removing vocals using Audacity or any other dow or means will sound terrible.
Hey bro, nice to see you
Keep rock MT
Hey, thanks Arun!
Always good to you Thomas, thanks for tour time.
Thanks for watching Old Guy! it's good to see you here too. 😃

Yes. The publisher will put ads on the video and share the royalties.
I love this video, very informative while also being high quality. This video needs more views as well as more subscribers. Well Done!
Glad you enjoyed it TeddyShack!

You really have to pay if you wanna get backing tracks
It depend what you're looking for. Paying isn't that bad. Everyone has to make a living :)
Elevated Jam tracks are the best
Very good video but.. Be careful. Don Henley and his team of lawyers are going to hunt you down for mentioning one of his songs on UA-cam. 😂
THIS IS JUST A PROMOTION VID FOR BAND IN A BOX LOL
It could be if I got paid to promote it Gary.
All instructional videos that skip content are rubbish!!
You cover the Eagles youll get a copy right strike not a claim
The Eagles? Really? I'm soooo out.
Great! Another video on how to rip off people who actually make music, write songs, and create content for the world. Well done.
Hardly. If it encourages people to sit and practice then why is that a bad thing?
