I figured have two sets of tips on the Saleen would be for a valved exhaust. Curious as to why the owner did the set up with the Flowmaster with two under the car and the normal two centered
@@Topofthelinetommy yea but some people don’t know it’s named after a person. I’ve heard it pronounced a few ways but the people who know who Steve Saleen usually pronounces it correctly.
thunderdome89 most people would gut or delete their cars but if you live a certain distance to a city, basically 70% of people, you have to do emissions. No cats=check engine light=automatic fail of emissions
The media messed up everything. There was a time when you could drive your muscle car whith peace of mind. Now you have to look over your shoulder now.
I wonder why they removed the slps on the Roush, I've got them on my Challenger SRT8 and sounds amazing. Although mine are on 3in, so they flow better and are much louder. I haven't done a high rev decibel meter test yet because it takes two people, but they are 116 at idle and is louder than both of them combined. I like those earlier stangs better then today's style, as they were designed after the 60s fastbacks and now look like Euro tuners
The 3Vs sound great straight piped the 5.0 straight pipe no good i would know i own a 5.0 and at one point had long tube high flos and just pipe it was AWFUL i had to slap a reso on now it sounds good apparently like a race car, those 5.7s and 6.1s more so the 6.1 straight pipe the whole thing my friends got a fbo tuned 6.1 charger with true straight pipes thing is NASTY on throttle but its pretty quiet on idle im actually alot louder on idle and i have high flows and resonator, TLDR straight pipe 6.1 5.7 u want a reso or something its raspy no cats and straight pipe his girl has one and it was awful we put so vibrant ultra quiets and it really made a difference
I remember Motor Trend saying at the time the car debuted there was a lot of Rev-hang with the Saleen Mustang between shifts. Do you guys find that to be true? And if so, can a software Tune dial that out? Thank you to all that reply! :)
Would really like to talk with you and ask about a 05 saleen I’m looking at with 25k miles.. it’s a S281 3 valve and I’m wanting to know a good purchase price.. hard to find comps
If you're going to say it over and over, say it right. Steve Saleen is not an IV solution. If you have the internet, you can watch interviews with the man who tuned these cars, and learn how to say his name.

That supercharged whine on the Roush though 😍
That saleen is just soo much better looks and sound 😍
someone finally making more videos comparing these 2 cars, 2 of my favorite mustangs ever made.

Love the supercharger whine on the Roush, but I like the growl of the Saleen just that much more.
The flowmasters on that Saleen sound sweet. I put flowmasters on am 86gt I had back in my late teens. I loved them.
I’ve always like those wheels on the Saleen or “Say Lean”.
Lean
It’s suh-leen. Not sure why it’s so hard for people. Go watch any interview with Steve Saleen
It’s suh lean not say lean
its sa - lean not say lean
Sssaaaaaayyyyy.... lmao
I figured have two sets of tips on the Saleen would be for a valved exhaust. Curious as to why the owner did the set up with the Flowmaster with two under the car and the normal two centered
I really wish you guys would’ve lined them up and raced them to see which one came on top
That’s my man! 😍 also my car too! I’m proud regardless! Our Saleen!
Doesn't it annoy you when people say Saleen incorrectly. I'm cringing. Lol
@@Topofthelinetommy yea but some people don’t know it’s named after a person. I’ve heard it pronounced a few ways but the people who know who Steve Saleen usually pronounces it correctly.
Most fav gen mustang get more vids of this body style GT plzzz and thank uuuuuu!!!!!
a guy said to me the other day why would you ever want a Shelby after driving a Roush !!!!!!!!!!! i totally agree with him as i have a roush
I’ll own one of these s281 before I die
I bought mine barely used back in 2010, still have her to this day. I hate to say it but I would love to sell her and get a gt350
I have an 06 s281 Sc , #1127 in performance white, has 98k miles. Might sale it..... have an offer ? 👍🇺🇸
Beautiful work as usual 👍🏾 sounds amazing
The New Edge saleens design will never be topped.
Don't the Saleen's come with magnaflow or borla mufflers? Why would you put some cheap flowmasters instead?
Nothing like two big turds sharing an oscillating fan. The sexiest mustang was the 65 driven by a high School chick with a ponytail.
Catalytic converter's is like eating a candy bar with the wrapper still on it. At least gut them if you're keeping them on 🤦🏻♂️
Gotta pass those emissions
@@CactusJack252 thank God I don't have to worry about them here.
thunderdome89 most people would gut or delete their cars but if you live a certain distance to a city, basically 70% of people, you have to do emissions. No cats=check engine light=automatic fail of emissions
in massachusetts if your cars 15 years or more old you don't have to pass emissions
Roush please! Thank You!
Cattless longtube headers 🔥
I'm kinda biased towards saleen but both sound good. Anyone can get roush parts at a Ford dealer. Saleen's get made at saleen.

@@dakotajones8010 so your 5.0 didn't sound good straight piped ?
I've heard them with slps, and they also sound awesome
Dakota Jones depends on the 5.7 years. Vvt or non vvt. The two sound very different because of the compression also.
@@lovethesmellofracefuelinth7374 no the 5.0s sound like ass unless u like a raspy ass exhaust it sounds like shit
Because slp’s sounds like shit!!!
Saleen setup is better but that roush sounds meaner
Wow ,Roush sound so much better

Super 44 would have sounded better on those supercharged 4.6's.
what about 4.7 GT vs Saleen?
Would really like to talk with you and ask about a 05 saleen I’m looking at with 25k miles.. it’s a S281 3 valve and I’m wanting to know a good purchase price.. hard to find comps
I just got mine 05 s281sc with 38k miles for 27k cash definitely a neck breaker
Both are very sweet rides i am partial to the Saleen Fox body though
The Roush sounded like an automatic
Saleen sound for me!
Saleem all the way with the Flowmasters sound
Got pretty bummed out when I heard the automatic shifts on the roush :(
God those welds are atrocious
Saleen was winner. That snap crack all crap for the foreign vehicles not American muscle. Just an opinion.
Flow masters on a saleen??? Oh no just no
Rather it be Borla or Corsa, but to each their own.
I would have either car!
The saleen looks mean but the roush sounds better
My 04 mustang gt is slow as sh!t but sounds a whole lot better than both of them…
They may sound good at idle and short reving, but the droan while you drive it is unbearable.... I went back to full mufflers and exhaust.
Also those mufflers are trash you need s style or straight trough mufflers not that chambered crap it would just sound so much better
Saleen sounds way better. It's also not Sayleen it's Saleen.
You screwed up those middle mufflers they are crooked..👎
If you're going to say it over and over, say it right.
Steve Saleen is not an IV solution.

Saleen all da way
Saleen vs Roush
Saleen for the win!!
smiles for miles
It's pronounced Sah-leen not Say-leen
It’s not pronounced Saline!!
Both lose because of the x-pipes.
I love it
The Roush sounds a hell of a lot better
Nice car
Roush

3:28 in background
Suh-leen......
Both slow
There’s always something faster?
Saleen wasn’t even trying
Like yourself😂
Roush
