Gretchen (Lacey Chabert) breaks down to Cady (Lindsay Lohan) and spills some juicy secrets about Regina (Rachel McAdams).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live wrote and appears in this comedy about the alternately funny and terrifying pecking order among teenage girls. Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) is a 15-year-old girl who has spent most of her life in Africa, where she was home-schooled by her zoologist parents. When her family relocates to the United States, Cady finds herself attending a high school in suburban Illinois, where she gets a crash course in the various sub-strata of the student body: the jocks, the cheerleaders, the stoners, the "cool" kids, and so on. Much to her surprise, Cady finds herself embraced by a clique of rich and popular girls known to outsiders as "the Plastics," led by Regina George (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen Weiners (Lacey Chabert), and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried). While Cady is grateful for her new friends, it doesn't take long for her to realize how manipulative they can be, and she soon discovers she's violated an unwritten law when she goes out on a date with Aaron (Jonathan Bennett), who is charming, good looking...and Regina's former boyfriend. It isn't long before Regina and her pals are on the warpath, and Cady must face a level of vengeful behavior for which years in the jungle never prepared her. The Caesar speech is awesome. Now we understand why Brutus stabbed Caesar. It wasn’t because of Rome, or the republic, it was because Caesar WOULD NOT LET BRUTUS’S FETCH HAPPEN!!! XD
Moby Dick I Caesar is really *Aaron* in this film... Regina is just his Queen-Barbie-doll! Think about it: He dumps her only when she cheats on him and in this clip and at Cadys party you see his true attitude towards the girls. A Total female-opressor/ plastic-pimp, who only complains on the plastic dolls he made! Plus he gets to date the prom-Queen every year... Plus if *Aaron* would have wanted Fetch to happen at the school Fetch would have happened at the school. Just as Regina was the blonde Barbie-girl who happened to become most popular. But he didn´t want it!

Sadly, oftentimes, a queen bee's minions are actually very nice girls who are just have very low self-esteem and are therefore easily controlled and manipulated. A queen bee picks her followers with those traits for that specific reason.
Yup. The ones they pick are often a bit naive and simple and can't see their own self worth. But they also must have an asset to bring to the collections and also be a threat that needs to be controlled. Gretchen has money and looks even if she's not smart or strong enough to take over from Regina
that's probably why she accepted cady so easily too.. naive homeschooled girl who recently moved from a foreign place, easy to control
naive and PRETTY homeschooled girl, remember Regina saying "but you're like, really pretty.." and asks whether Cady thinks she's pretty, but Cady's like "i don't know.." and Regina just cuts into pretend complimenting her bracelet? and also remember Janis and Damien also saying how Cady's a "regulation hottie" and how she'll definitely fit in thanks to it? Regina knows Cady's got the looks, pretty enough to be considered as threat by her..
Gretchen was not a nice girl. She is the typical leech who wants to be friends with the popular girl and tries to know everyone’s secrets by pretending to be a ‘great’ friend. Even Regina was aware of that, which is why she kept Gretchen at a distance. I think Gretchen can be more dangerous than Regina, like Littlefinger from Game of Thrones.

This scene actually makes me sad. I understand why it's supposed to be funny, but it's just depressing. Imagine how self-conscious Regina made Gretchen - she's so stressed. And the story about the white gold earrings her parents got her for Hannukah? How horrible must it feel to tell your parents that you hate what they got you, something they picked out because they thought it would make you happy, just because you're terrified of the consequences if you accept it? Gretchen's life was miserable.

This scene is why Gretchen yelling "You Can't Sit With Us!" to Regina was more powerful. I was so happy to see her standing up for herself.
By the aggressive tone of Gretchen's voice, you can tell she was trying to get revenge and payback.
She wasnt standing up for herself, she was standing up for "rules" Regina put.

No, there isn't any evidence that supports that statement of Gretchen trying to make Cady look bad. The only mean thing Gretchen ever did in this entire movie was telling Regina the secret of Cady liking Aaron which fits her persona because usually people who wants to know secrets and the first to tell the world. Gretchen is a nice girl, just willing to enslave her self because she's a Beta.
Caesar Seriona she wasn’t being friendly when she said Cady had a crush on Kevin she was being malicious because Cady stole the show during jingle bell rock after Gretchen ruined broke the boombox and that Cady had her normal spot during the jingle bell rock routine. That’s why Regina stepped in and humiliated Gretchen, she knew what Gretchen was trying to do.
That's absurd and lacks evidence. Gretchen shows no signs of being mean beyond what I said and Cady said what is obvious, she will serve Regina willingly as a slave hence her passive aggressive out burst during her Caesar speech due to Regina riding her ass about the use of Fetch.

I fkn love Gretchen, she was the only one thad didnt compromise her lifestyle. She just continued what she had been doing with a sligthy different group. Also she had the most distinctive look., good actress, one of the prettiest in my opinion along with the one that played Admiral Helena Cain in Battlestar Galactica, looks amazing with that jet black hair and also very convincing as a cold hearted, ruthless leader.
Some of the other girls actually needed to change tho, like Regina. She actually took out all her anger on something good.

I feel Regina is the most beautiful, but Gretchen looks cute too.
Gretchen deserved a better ending. All she did was be as nice to Regina as possible and she didn't get anything in return but cruelty. She had self esteem issues but seems nice and cool despite her involvement in the "burn book". Everyone else seemed to have a good ending but she was just serving the Asian queen bee over Regina. She should have been the head of her own clique.
The problem is that because she seeks attentions from everyone which also explains why she keeps secrets of everyone means that she is a Beta to heart, she lacks Alpha traits so her ending is her to a T.
But she's shy and insecure a leader has to be confident

I relate with Gretchen. When I was in college, I used to be friends with people who I have sacrificed for and sometimes, I get treated like crap by them because I love something else and they tell me that I'm not allowed to. I've kept secrets for them for so long until the point where I couldn't take it anymore and told other people because of how terrible these secrets were and everyone else deserved to know. Just like Gretchen, I just kept my mouth shut with certain things because I try to be a good friend. This is why we must remember that we must treat ourselves fairly too, otherwise our mental health will never be okay.

The dynamic between Gretchen and Regina always interested me. Regina keeps her foot on Gretchen's neck even more so than Karen. Karen is just dumb. But Gretchen is a bigger threat because she's not dumb and she knows things about Regina that Regina wouldn't want people to know. So she especially keeps Gretchen in line and controlled. Regina made sure Gretchen had no self esteem whatsoever.
She's such a good friend.
