- Sabotage, disease, breakouts & game crashes. The Jurassic World evolution 2 Malta campaign had me rage quitting. But after a break I managed to finish and am happy to be able to just return to sandbox.

Here are the tips and tricks a campaigner/challenge moder can give:
- To fix a gate, pause the game, delete the gate and make a new one.
- Use the time controls like heck. They’re your best friend
- We only use either pause or 3x speed. Pause for deleting/moving/building with low money, editing path/tour path and setting tasks for mvt and capture team
- Rest your scientists when they get close to burnt out and dont wait for when they actually do burn out. Saves lots of disgruntling
I hope you can use this in your next challenge mode adventures!
Ok so when playing this, you have to pay attention to the star ratings and choose the highest ones.
Be careful when adding more of the same type because they will ask for more space.
Keep an eye on the guests. Always leave the guest activity on when editing paths or placing amenities so you know where they will crowd at.
Improve facilities and amenities. Always do this if you want your small kiosk’s to earn 20,000 max.
Be smart on hiring scientists. Focus on making things cheap and fast. Mostly on the cheap side of things.
Don’t be afraid of fights. If you see a herbivore x1 on the list, place it on the carnivore enclosure and have their rating go up. (Herbivores like ceratopsids, ankylosaurid, and stegosaurid.)
When it comes to the late stage, use the hatchery more. The ratings are far more higher for genetically modified dinosaurs.
Also for research, grab everything before moving to the next park. Focus on electricity first, grab vaccines then focus on the rest of what you’ll need.
Also for contracts, keep choosing disease free because it’s easier. If it doesn’t appear choose which you can accomplish easier or faster.
These are my tips. Finished it after 4 hours on my run.
looking back at my raw recording: I finished in 4 hours and 10 minutes, so... in terms of time, I didn't do THAT bad haha
@@EvolutionSquare Not bad. I saw you struggle lots in this vid so I had assumed it took you forever.
I actually had to plan out the build on the map because of spacing issues. But I managed once I figured out that small amenities are far more workable than the medium or large since the guest count hardly ever reach above 100+ at the start.
Not only that I wanted the place to look stylish without destroying or editing the pre existing park, so it took a bit longer on the planning side of things.
Even more so when I decided to unlock every research available to me at the time so I don't have to hire too many scientists on each park because having six is gonna cost you.
Also just a weird thing that happened on my first play through, I forgot that I was missing a vaccine because I thought I had unlocked all of them at the time since i prioritize on them second after I unlock the power plant. Then the tubercolosis started spreading rapidly on my park on the second island, but because of how many dinosaurs I got over there, it didn't matter how fast I finished the research. My medic van couldn't make it to the others in time because they got stuck on the terrain somehow! Not only that I didn't notice they got stuck until the first death. So I had to build a second one but it still took forever for them to get to the rest of the dinosaurs and by that time the virus had managed to kill off so many dinosaurs I had to restart.
At least that didn't happen on my second run on the campaign.
If you ever try a challenge mode (cuz you sure aren't doing campaign again lol) one major tip would be just to delete malfunctioning gates and replace them. Solves the problem, stops walkouts, and saves time.

@@EvolutionSquare also tour = transport, and assigning rangers and MVU to ranger stations eliminates some of the awfulness with diseases :)
@@EvolutionSquare and 1 extra tip, don't play the game on 3x speed. That makes the deseases very bad. I had few of them but the dispatched MVU automatically handles those in time. (All treatments should be researched as soon as available). Went a like for the effort though. The first half was very funny. Thanks as always.

Oh my god, I know exactly how you feel, I raged so much with this damn campaign too and I almost rage quitted but I was determined to get it done
And yes my game has crashed a bunch of times when I was just trying to get a acrocanthosaurus from my cargo ship into my Park
And I just decided to release my atrociraptors loose in my Park
And the top of all off, I was planning on screaming it on my second channel Kingodzilla Gaming, but I decided to not do it just because of me watching other UA-camrs play this campaign, I am not want my viewers to see my rage
When playing campaigns, remember it's Jarasic Restrooms and Shelters. Place those first and have many of them.

That's what happens when a person who only plays sandbox has to play the Campaign mode.
The bug that when you put the Carno into an enclosure instead of Cargo Ship (I did not read the mission cause I thought I predicted what to do) made me restart my whole campaign

I failed on the third island a couple of times, kept going bankrupt after shipping off the Atrociraptors, and had to accept the loan shark offer to get $,7,500,000 just to keep me going. I'm currently on that last objective for campaign, reaching 4.0 stars, and I can probably do it, but not sure I will strive for 5 stars across all islands here. I want to get to building on these maps in sandbox. I know we've just had an update, but in the next one I hope we get 2022 Allosaurus skin variants (much prefer the 2022 skin), a 1993 Herrerasaurus, 1993 Troodon, and 1993 Tylosaurus from the Telltale JP game (it's Universal property right so shouldn't be an issue I imagine?) Also, new herbivore food options, because some just look ugly, the tall nut/ground nut one I don't like, and I wish large sauropods actually only need forest and water, because the forest is their food. I've been greening up my two San Diego parks with ginkgo, just mainly so it looks nicer. Well done on finishing this campaign though, now its done you don't have to worry about it!
Omg I've been following for a few months, I'm 15 minutes into this video and I am so shocked and amused to see one of the best JWE2 players online, who has inspired me to make beautiful parks, is actually not good at the base game haha. This was so fun to watch! Quality content.
And may be when you place dinos in an enclosure you can spread them out so that when they from their territory it would be okay. I hope what I said Will help in the future

I rage quit the Southwest USA challenge on medium difficulty because I kept going bankrupt or didn’t progress. This last time I forgot to catch a wild chasmosaurus and it entered the park and started attacking people. But by the time I put it in an an enclosure and opened the shelters, nobody was coming back to the park. I already had 90% of carnotaurus filled. 🤦♂️

I just want to say, I am a campaign, chaos theory, and challenge mode player (rarely do sand box). This is my fav campaign in both JWE1 and JWE2, but I had so many crashes, and every time I try to place a majungasaurus it crashes. Also got the glitch with the hatchery and animals glitching through fences. But I still 5 star all three island and got the achievement. Will be doing it again because the market is so much fun.

I totally get you. I really like to just build some nice parks and not have to worry with all of the red signs and warnings. I do like to fiddle around with sandbox settings tho to make things kind of a challenge, but one of which I can actually handle. I like to turn on research, scientist, power, and now I use the dinosaur exchange which is such a fun experience. I love that they have it in sandbox it’s like a little dinosaur store and it makes for some cool progression
At least you tried it. I booted it up for like 5 seconds and then I was like "nope, screw this I ain't making another 5 star park"
ngl came really close to quitting several times, especially when that final mission was like: "hihi now get to 4 stars"
I wish to get this DLC pack. However due to the glitches and stuff I heard in the campaign, I think I'll wait until Frontier patches the Campaign. And if I have the money to buy it too.
Thats honestly a really good idea because, as much as I love this DLC, It has a whole load of bugs and glitches and it crashed whenever I went to put dinos from my cargo ship into my parks and my atrociraptors kept phasing through the fences so i'd 100% wait until frontier patches it
It's a good thing I watched this play through because I could consider myself done with the campaign because all I have to do is get the 4 stars.
Evo I was using the aviary glitch and I'm happy to report that our dinosaurs now have sound when inside the aviary. I first saw this technique by you so I thought you should know 😊
Hi evo I know this a really late comment but I found that playing through all the chaos theories, balancing the different customer types doesn’t really matter, scroll through the modules and keep an eye on the profit number and select as per what gives the highest profit and continue on from there. Atleast that’s what worked for me

Yeah the campaign was annoying. I liked the exchange and having Barry, Kayla and Santos but I felt like I was doing homework five starring the maps.

I really liked the video and also the campaign ;)
My recomendation for campaigns (in general in games.) Ignore the objectives and just focus and doing everything else. So in this case, focus on getting your infanstructure ready like shelters and bathrooms. Things that dont cost money. Then move on to research of essentials. Then lots of dinnos to get more profit. Research the middle tier expensive stuff. And now you can do objectives. After every 2 or 3 obectives you straight up stop doing objectives and repeat the cycle. For example, with the raptor sending to the cargo ship, I did not do that until I had ordered and created 5 replacement raptors so when the first said sold I had a replacement group ready.
Having said that, its clear campaigns are not your thing so I do not recommend you try them again. I just felt sad watching this seeing you were not enjoying it.
I enjoyed the campaign. The only thing I didnt do is 5 star all the islands (only did 1 of the islands) because I find this game much harder to make enclosures due to food requirements conflicting with all the dinos. (Seriously, I never make long necks dinos because they take up way too much room)

You did great! I'm having a frustrating experience with the hatchery bug and another bug where I have a dimorphodon that won't die and when I try to move it to the cargo ship it duplicates itself over and over again. So I have a dimorphodon that is over 200 age that keeps creating copies of itself on the Cargo ship. When I pull the duplicates out they immediately die, but not the original. It is weird. haha. Seriously, great hanging in there and I appreciate your content.
I personally didn't have any problems with crashing till after the campaign. But I thank you for suffering through to give us this.

Don't quit! Even in campaign and challenge modes. Just start small collect cash and then expand. The only thing that I can say is repetition is the best way to maintain long-term success.

I've softlocked myself on the "send the atrosoraptores to the cargo ship" part. because i made them and sent them from the hatchery but it didn't count, when i made some new ones to send the cargo ship is unavailable.

I had to restart the campaign multiple times due to bugs, such as the Carnotaurus not being able to be sold.

The thing I still wonder is even tho we got the malta dlc but I wonder if microceratus will be joining the dlc like the dominion variants bc it's the only missing canon dinosaur from the live action movies
I think they’ll make a mid cretaceous dlc, just for the lack of absence of microceratus. Also believe we’re missing that one prehistoric lamprey from the market but it was basically just a small prop that wasn’t even a dinosaur
@@yaboibuggles8188 not sure if microceratus should be in the mid cretacous dlc bc this is a canon dino thats missing and maybe they can add it for free or they can add it as an addition to the malta dlc but those who bought the malta dlc get it free while to those who haven't have to buy the malta dlc to get microceratus and the other dinos in the dlc
@@DoubleEditzz Yeah sorta makes since at that, as they fixed some of the absences of some of the things, like the raptor pen and making rana the default pattern for pteranodon instead of it being a challenge mode reward. But it’s gonna be somwhat challenging to make it as it isn’t something that already existed in the first game, nor just a skin so it’s probably going to appear in a another update, but definitely not free
The fact that even someone who plays more of the campaigns than sandbox struggled with this a lot should tell you everything you need to know about what I’ve just seen in this video.
Loved the campaign, didn't have any of these issues and I really enjoyed it.

After a Thorough Investigation I believe I can safely assume that Evo is a true Sandbox player (then again I could be wrong)
I 100% recommend you play the byosin campagin Evo.
Its waaaaaaaay easier and forgiving that this one, they hold your hand for most of it and your only biggest concerns are sickness, dino enclosures and comfort and research plus when I played that campaign I encountered 0 game breaking bugs
Its a more calm and less stressful campaign altogether
Also I may just add that toilets and hotels can completely change the money amenities make. I place them next to the amenities and they go from minus to my best earning
Honestly, I had the same experience with the campaign. I was praying for it to be over so I could return to playing sandbox where I am at peace!
Eco may be if you assign ranger team to ranger post you also do the same thing to the Pelio medical facility because that will help than just clicking the dinosaurs, and when you click the ranger post it let assign immediately. I hope this Will help and I know you did not know this but just give a try.PLEASE!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😧
Should have reworked your starter buildings. I moved and relayed out all existing buildings out the gate. Made a big difference. Also used minimum pathing with your trucks to transport between the tiny sections providing most of my Dino viewing coverage.
Even though it seems a bit infuriating this campaign is definitely unique compared to the others
I did really like the new mchanic of the exchange (when it didn't crash). But I don't like diseases and balancing the herbivore enclosures, where one species freaks out if they don't have the right amount of ground nut and the other freaks out if they don't have the perfect patch of ground fruit

i wish we could get something like the exchange or live captures in sandbox, or we could be able to make our own custom scenarios so we could still use interesting mechanics, but with our own settings

Crashes in the game means badluck to me it makes us angry but sandbox is just fine if your pc is able to hold it as well 😀 otherwise both are good in different ways

Watching Evo rage during a campaign was hilarious, had me dying because I'm the type I play the campaign 1st and learn all the ins and outs before going to sandbox mode and try to make pretty pretty parks like Evo, this campaign wasn't too tough, some annoying parts but overall was pretty fun. I guess you have to like campaigns to actually enjoy them, but Evo's not a campaign type person, she just likes rushing straight to the sandbox to try and make pretty pretty parks smh lmao 🤣🤣🤣

I want to love campaign/challenge mode so much. On JWE1 I replayed the campaign over and over. But JWE2 just feels like such a slog. The Dino needs are so touchy and massively space consuming. The money making is so specific and just makes you spam the same buildings configured the same way every 250yrds. And those 2 really restrict the creative freedom. Plus, once you hit a certain size you just have to go in circles doing busy work and can hardly find time to actually build anything

It is a wonderful campaign but, reaching 5* is harder than in the JP CT. Something is wrong with the stores as I have all the attractions and many creatures yet I have 4* on each. And I have a Brachi or two on two islands alongside x3 Allo.
I also had to sit there on the 3rd island (the one where you make and ship the atrociraptors) for what felt like 30 minutes because my stores’ income was tanking for literally no reason. I check the modules and nothing is wrong with guest appeal, the stores just kept dropping and raising income like a damn wave going up and down. That’s when I was done with the campaign and just cheated for 5 stars 🤦♀️

I have the same feeling, that something is wrong with the facilities. They are all in white zone, appeal is about 90% in the park, and still only 100/400 guests some of those are almost empty. The attractions nearby have at least 1000 appeal points, and I did really good in challenge mode before this campaing, almost all map finished on hard difficulty. This campaign did change the mechanics and made it worse. I hope they fix it. I am close to get the 5 starts in each map in the campaign, have only 1 island left. I also hope that this won't affect the challenge mode facility mechanics and unique to this campaign, otherwise it won't be fun anymore.
@@martakarman-szabados1606 precisely, I added a Spino in the first island and that barely raised the start rating near 5*, WTH?!?!?
I keep seeign people say this campaign is a real pain, but honestly I got it on first try, no issues.
Jurassic World Chaos Theory on the other hand, freaking thing I had to restart it like 4 times because just after you release the Mosasaurus and need money to make the Raptors and the Indominus Rex the game decides to throw a lot of tornados on your park.

Just put Ranger Posts in your enclosures and assign your Med vehicle to them and they will handle the diseases independently. Oh Evo, if only you knew how to play the game 🙈 I feel so bad for you and your mental health during the campaign! I hope you treated yourself with something really nice after that ❤️
my crashes with this campaing where asw annoying ones, i play on xbox series S and every time i clicked too fast on the dino marked it crashed, such annoying thing, otherwise i really liked the campaing, im a park manager type of player so this was a very interesting challenge

When I played the campaign my game kept crashing and some transporters were stuck in place so I couldn't use my hatchery 😤

the base game campaign was easy for me, I dodn't really remember struggling with it at all.
The Mata campaign took me around 4 hours. The Biosyn one I never completed.
As a guy that plays challenge mode almost all the time, this brings me pain😬😬😬

A real challenge idea: sandbox with era specific plants (desert like exhibits for triassic)
and era specific dinosaur pairing (no para triceratops with brachi for example)
